The creator of the level purposely put the thwomps there to make you think that it's the beginning but as you can see, in the "actual beginning" there are extended coins to the left and they are in your sight, while the secret path that you thought was the beginning had 1 or 2 coins to the right almost out of your sight! And to also proof that this is true, there is a door at the end next to the flagpole and which there is a secret path that the creator created himself to beat the level but he didn't find it.
