    Well... you sold me... just pulled the trigger on this unit. I will be using it with my Pioneer SX 1250.
    Finally getting around to running it all thru the Pioneer... this is my first DAC/Bluetooth... held off long enough!
    Thank you for all your great reviews, which helped me decide... good timing!

      The 1250... My dream receiver! I think you are going to like the sound from the SLASH6, it's going to sound killer on that MONSTER Receiver. Thank you for watching my videos and keep us posted when you get your device, I would like to hear your thoughts. Cheers

      @breakerbroke23 I received it this morning and have been listening all day. Both the TV and my Bluetooth phone sound incredible! So clear, sounds like the band is right in front of me. Listened to "Take 5" Dave Brubeck... shocked how each instrument pops out... thank you for your excellent recommendation!!

    Wow, what an amazing purchase! First time ever this satisfied. The music turned on, and I found myself staring at the speaker. The mid and bass tones are so clear and impressive. I'm truly amazed and satisfied with the sound! Big thanks to those who provided such great sound quality at this price!

    How do you have under 100 likes for this high quality video? I've been researching bt audiophile DACs for a car retrofit and you've convinced me with this one. Thanks!

    Hey Mike, interesting video. Interesting also that they call it the "Slash Six", or /6, as the ”/6” lettering is often used by aficionados of the Chrysler 225 inline 6 or "slant six" to depict that engine when writing. Hmmm, wonder if there's any connection? 🤔

    Can we connect iPhone or Samsung tablets directly to this usb port and use it as usb DAC? Or does it only support desktops?

    • @bbfoto7248
      @bbfoto7248 15 дней назад

      Yes. For iPhone/iPad you need the USB Camera Connection Kit cable/adapter + the appropriate USB cable. You can plug in a charger to the USB Camera Connection Kit, otherwise the DAC will drain the iPhone/iPad battery.
      For most modern Android/Samsung smartphones and tablets, all you need is a USB-C to USB-C cable. Shorter cables have less chance of connection issues. The DAC will drain the smartphone or tablet battery faster unless you connect them together using a USB-C hub that has a PD (power delivery) USB-C port and connect a USB-C Charger to it (preferably at least 5v @ 2 amps. 3 amps is better).

    I will stay with my audio engine B1 range is 100 feet verse 30 feet and besides have not seen a bad review on a B1. Been a rock solid performer for years. Keep your money in the great USA

      The B1 is a great device and has been in my stable for years. I have two, one I bought when they first came out and one I bought summer of 23. The SLASH6 has the exact same receive range as the B1s, the audio from the 6 is slightly brighter and the RCA line lever is hotter. That being said the B1 as a tabletop device IMHO is better design.

    This product looks like Focal Universal Wireless Receiver that I own. Focal doesn't have digital output.

      Yes the 6 looks similar, it is a interesting design. The old Focal is APTX only and Bluetooth 4.0 or 4.2 I believe. The SLASH6 is the latest in CODECS and Bluetooth version 5.1. The upgrade is amazing. Thanks for watching and jogging my memory :)

      Unfortunately the Slash is not available in my country. I bought the Auris Blume Pro after watching one of your videos and I liked the Blume very much in LDAC mode. I also own the well reviewed iFi Zen Blue V2, which is equally good as Blume Pro. Do you think Slash will be a better performer compared to Blue Pro and iFi Zen?

    Can anybody comment on how fast a phone battery will drain while plugged into the Slash 6 micro usb to play hi res music? I have the iPhone13 and am concerned about how long the battery will last.

      I have not yet timed how long the power will last however my rule of thumb is when using this device plan on cutting the battery life in half. Not a big deal.

    The price of that is insane! I'd rather get a new amp or receiver with bluetooth in it already.

    • @breakerbroke23
      @breakerbroke23  3 месяца назад +2

      Well a "new receiver" at this price point will just get you a crap amplifier section with a crap bluetooth receiver.

      I dont eff around. Try it, if you don't like it send it back. Most of these receivers and speakers I bought with channel funds.
