Great reviews with very straight forward feedback. I've used miccus in the past and have been very impressed with their units mostly for their range as a receiver. Since you test so many units, have you ran into anything that offers better range than the miccus?

Have you tried the S.M.S.L B1 Bluetooth receiver from Amazon? Has a really good DAC with Bluetooth 4.2. Supports Aptx and NFC. Has 4 outputs. Toslink, Coxial, RCA and a 3.5mm for IEMS and headphones. Has it's own independent volume control if you use the 3.5mm connection. Also with a external antenna. You can use other antennas if it fits properly in the slot. Had that receiver a little over 3 years I believe. Really good sounding! 60 bucks on Amazon if your interested.

Hi Breakerbroke23, love the channel and your reviews. Recently I purchased a Bluetooth 5.1 receiver to connect my iPhone to a Sonos play 5 speaker “line in” function. I experienced issues with interference and the audio dropping out. The issues continued even though I removed other electrical devices nearby and placed the iPhone next to the receiver. Is this a common problem with the Sonos speaker/system and Bluetooth receiver combination? Do you have any advice or can you recommend a Bluetooth receiver that may suit this situation? I am worried if I purchase another receiver, I will have the same problem. Thanks.

Yes. Bluetooth is backwards compatible. So even though the iPhone 7+ does not have Bluetooth 5 (only BT 4.2), it will still connect to devices that have BT 5 hardware.Nov 9, 2018

The first BT receiver I tried was a couple of weeks ago, called the Rocketfish purchased at Best Buy for $59. Hooked it up by itself, no seperate dac, and instantly there was skipping on every video I watched on RUclips on my LG android tablet. I also paired the Rocketfish to my android phone, and there wasn't any skipping. So that's when I ordered the BluDento and no skipping at all. I even cleared the cache on my tablet and that didn't seem to help the skipping at all. So, I am sticking to what I know and have another BluDento on it's way for my other system.

Considering buying an integrated amp and since I stream most of the time, my question is do I forfiet the built in DAC and go with an external like the Modi 3 like I use on my other systems? I don't know if the built in DACs are better than the external ones. I am considering amps like the Yamaha AS 501 or the Denon PMA 800 examples. Also, do I forfiet the built in bluetooth and go with the BluDento like I also have in my other systems? Since DACs and bluetooth receivers get more improved, I don'twant to be stuck with outdated built ins in my amp. Any thoughts would much be appreciated!

Hello, I need some help as to deciding what type of product I’m after. Thing is I’m hoping to connect my old Windows laptop with Bluetooth (3 or 4) to my new Bluetooth 5.0 headphones via Bluetooth. The headphones support LDAC, aptX HD, aptX LL, AAC, and SBC and I want to experience what the hell LDAC and aptX HD is like but the headphones only supports Bluetooth 5.0. Whilst I’ll be listening to music and watching movies on my laptop, I would also like to use it with my phone and tablet as well. What I think I need is a Bluetooth adapter with a built in DAC? Is there such thing?

With the Audio Engine B1 and or the Dento BLT-HD, you can stream into my reciever from my smart phone or tablet device correct, but can I also Bluetooth out to patio speakers as well? Also I assume I will need to change where the Bluetooth device is connected to on my reciever depending on if I want to send or recieve correct?

The b1 and Bludento are BT receivers only, To transmit and receive I would (and have done) use either the b1 or Bludento to receive and the RTX 2.0 to transmit to your patio speakers. Use a AUX in for the BT receiver. For transmitting to your patio try your monitor out If it allows you to control your volume, if not use your headphone output using the RTX 2.0.
In my Everything Bluetooth playlist I have a video showing how to use the RTX as a transmitter.

Denon makes one and a brittish company makes one, (I forget the name) I have not looked for one since. I must say that if your mixer has RCA in then I would go with either of these units in the video. 5.0 HD sounds awesome

1:30 I don’t either dude 😂 you mentioned that the smaller ones seem to not sound as good perhaps it’s the fact that it’s really old tech? I have a BT4.2 adapter and can’t handle the degradation vs BT5.0 so I definitely can understand you not liking the sound., Bluetooth codec is almost up to full MP3 quality now days 👍🏼 and although I have a few wonderful pieces of “audiophile grade” equipment, I unfortunately don’t have time lately to listen through that. Hence why I’m here just trying to gain some knowlege... but come on man 😂 it’s the firmware that is the reason that thing sucks

Was thinking I'd grab one of the cheap Logitech/knockoff. But since they don't have great left right separation I'm debating between the Harmon Kardon BTA-10 and iFi Zen Blue. Great video. Thanks!! Maybe someone can help me. I need a simple bluetooth transceiver to bluetooth full-duplex connect to my android phone so that I can make phone calls through my audio interface without physically connecting my phone to the interface, but by using the bluetooth device that I describe. So the bluetooth interface must have analog in and outs, the analog in will be sent back to the smartphone as "mic in" and the analog out will be the sound being passed from my phone to the bluetooth device back to my audio interface. I read that it must work in TDD mode, but not sure about that. Most of the whiz-bang bluetooth devices have send/receive switches, but for the sake of phone call I need it to work like an BT earbud that one uses commonly, but with ports for the phone mic and sound. BlueDriver M3 does it, but not crazy about the product. Does anyone know how to do this easily and inexpensively?

I would use BT Transmitter and Receiver that uses a SMA connector for the antenna (on both units) and Use a directional antenna (yagi) and have the antenna from TX to RX and RX to TX. That would more than likely give you a solid and reliable connection. Sounds to my like this would be a exciting project. Cheers
BTW... You must keep the coax length as short as possible, or you will lose lots of signal in the coax, big issue at 2.4gigs

You could use two BT transmitters at the same time so you could have 4 headphones. You just need to split the output from the projector so you can input the two transmitters. If you are using RCA out from the sound source the just use 2 RCA Y adapters amzn.to/3HreRfR
Or if you are using optical amzn.to/3pGkvF0
      Great question. Cheers.

Unplug the Bludento from your 780, plug the RCA leads from the shit into your AUX of the 780. Use a TOSLINK cable and plug it into the Bludento and the TOSLINK input of the shit. Rock on:)

My JL MBT-RX worked for one day. None of my devices can connect to it anymore. I unpaired the devices and tried to repair them and now they fail to connect.
Not sure what's going on. The JL receiver is wired to a switched fuse in the fuse box at 2.5 amps and grounded on the firewall. It worked amazingly for oneday. Any tips? I bought it new from Crutchfield.

    • @breakerbroke23
      @breakerbroke23  3 года назад

I assume the BT receiver is in a vehicle. I would take the JL out of the vehicle and test is using power from a 12v source and see if it wil work. Try getting power going straight from the vehicles battery or if you have a 12v power supply try that for power. IMO... before I send it back to Crutch I would want to know if it works out of vehicle. You MAY have a bad ground to the firewall (yes it does happen) If the JL works on the "bench" then you know somethings up whit the vehicle.

      ifi ZEN Blue
      BluDento BLT-HD
Would be the top two for that, however being "seamless" also will depend on your transmitting devices. ie. OS, and BT versions.

Hey, I'm very out of the loop when it comes to technology. My goal is to download songs to a USB and then play that music without having to have my computer on at all. I have a stereo, but it's probably 35 years old. it has 2 speakers, but barely works.. i should throw it out, but i listen to sports talk on it,lol.. Anyway, what would i have to in order make that happen at a minimal price. Honestly, i just don't know. I don't even know what blue tooth is barely,lol..... If i have to keep my computer on, i guess i'll have to, but yea... I don't even know what i need to play music. Okay, if you read this....thanks in advance. :)

Well, the best and easiest way to go (IMHO) is put your music on your phone then use Bluetooth from your phone to a Bluetooth receiver that is plugged into your stereo receiver (AUX in) Like in this video.... ruclips.net/video/p6bnKAcqr14/видео.html
What is wrong with your "old" stereo? ..... And, I am a AM radio junkie :)

@@breakerbroke23 haha.......I love old stuff myself and well.. i guess nothing..haha.. I recently threw out the cd player that i used on it. Never played the discs. Just went from 1 disc to another, lol. Anyway, it actually all works. :) This is the stereo i have ruclips.net/video/lrq7VFyzSuo/видео.html So, one speaker doesn't work, but hey.. the other one does! So, i probably don't have to buy a new one. So disregarding bluetooth, what do i need to plug my phone( i have an android if that means anything lol) in to the back of the stereo. In the video I shared, that gentleman did, but not sure what he used. It seems as if all i need is to hook the phone up to the stereo? And then i jut go to youtube and play a song and i can hear it on the stereo? that sure is something if that turns out to be thhe case,,,..btw i "liked" your videos. :) Thanks for responding..:)

Why is it that most all of these cheap BT receivers have the huge discrepancies between your phone volume vs the hifi receiver volume?? i.e. find myself turning volume nearly 100% on my receiver to get adequate volume when phone volume level using Spotify is around the 3/4 mark?
Btw same using rca or digital in/outputs. Normally use 100W+ receivers just for this reason. If you have a link that addresses this issue, please send my way. Thanks

    Hi can anyone help me.

I do have a bluetooth dongle with bluetooth 5.1 version using a usb input for power with a 3.5mm jack input. Id like to use a 4 way amp and sub amp in surround sound with a

    • @breakerbroke23
      @breakerbroke23  3 года назад

The BT receiver is Bluetooth technology 5.1 NOT 5.1 surround sound. Bluetooth receivers are 2 ch stereo and if you want to go surround in your vehicle you will need an outboard processor to create 5.1 effect. There were some outboard devices made by Pioneer, Alpine and Fosgate (not rockford) but finding that stuff now may be an issue.

      @@breakerbroke23 yes i know this.
But have now just found bluetooth does do 5.1 surround sound if you use the digital or optical outputs-
then connect a optical digital splitter with a 5.1 rca output for all the channels. Simples !
(some also have hdmi through put built in)
Which i will use for in my vans many amps for a surround sound system for my phone and tv
