Get the Tamiya RC Trucks. 👨🔧
There's a lot in Hong Kong m8.
Losi DBXL-E 2.0 is my vote! Also, more UDR content! Thanks for the entertainment!
I would love to see a Kyosho USA 1 and I would recommend getting a lunchbox as a first build(it was my first build) and it is iconic and imo insanely fun or a hornet, if you are getting a Tamiya kit make sure to get ball bearings they make a huge difference. Most RC truckers take their kits to an RC truck convention, other than that it is mostly an awesome shelf queen
My first kit was the midnight pumpkin it was a cool truck. I'm the process of putting all new electronics in it
@@ridemx1416 is the Midnight Pumpkin similar in driving to the lunchbox because I want to get another lunchbox and create a custom body but also considering a midnight. If the midnight is similar to a lunchboxs driving then I might not consider it. Thanks
It's the same chassis just different body
I'm loving the look of the Kyosho USA 1! 😁 Thank you for your suggestions!
True on the ball bearings, built a "sand scorcher", years ago, B.b.'s & black motor, went like crazy!
So cool i remember my dad taking me to hong kong when i was around 10. Was 30 years ago & I just remember buying my first Tamiya touring car kit & some paint cans. The airline wouldnt let me take my spray cans back to AU - I was devistated!!! So cool to see the shops still going strong in HK unlike here in Australia...
Nice tour Joe. If you want to build up a Tamiya then I'd go for something fun like the Konghead (or any of the G6-01 chassis trucks) and fit the rear steer. It's something that is very different to what other RC companies are doing and rather a hoot to drive. Oh and put in something like a 3500kv brushless as a bit slow out of the box. Was just running mine today 🙂
Yes! or the King Yellow.
I really enjoyed the TT01 EURO Truck 👍👍
@@rcpete7055 yeah I think they are good of you've got somewhere nice and smooth to run them. I'm mainly driving RC's in the woods so big tyre trucks are my favourite 😁
So far its looking like your comment might be at the top! The Konghead does look very interesting!😁🍻
I'm going to sabotage Pete's recommendation (love his videos too) and recommend my favourite the GF-01, which is the 4x4 brother of this chassis. With a brushless combo it wheelies on command and for days. But with short track width you should use wide wheels or hub extensions to restrict cartwheels (and cracked bodies) but it's a unique vehicle to run as it takes a different skill set to control
To start with Tamiya I think you should build a Grasshopper, Hornet or Frog as these were the models that sprung RC into popularity in the 80's
i had a Panda rc in high school, it had a weird mechanical speed controller.
Its nice to see a hobbyshop not dominated by Traxxas everything.
Most rc stores in the netherlands have a lot of rc brands
@@daanzoomer2997 For real!! I order most of my rc parts from Toemen or TopRC. Imo both are great shops.
@@TheCybusterGundam i went to toprc to buy my traxxas maxx and my god that store is pretty big
Not dominated, traxxas literally got its own floor
Yeah I suppose there is always that part about the U.S. Hobby shops these days. I mostly use websites and Amazon anyway but the local brick and mortars are usually TraxXxas dominant if not exclusive. Honestly if I think about it it's 4 out of 9 local shops that are exclusively TraxXxas, and 3 are TraxXxas dominant by a long shot. And 1 doesn't sell rc cars just trains and the other seems to just sell stuff from Amazon)
Love watching things like this! Great video!!
It is really neat to see what the stores are like elsewhere in the world. They make use of EVERY square inch available! Thanks Joe, that was interesting.
Those Big Rigs look awesome- that is my vote. But you have to do one of the King Haulers, not one of those smaller “lauries”.
Hi Joe, nice video and thanks for filming.
Welcome to Hong Kong.
Thanks for the tour. I am a regular rcmart customer on eBay. The Tamiya Holiday Buggy is a great first build or get an EB Kumamon Buggy for a bit of fun. For an awe inspiring build experience get a Kyosho Javelin or Turbo Optima.
Nice Shop Tour 😎👍🏻
Epic! That place is awesome! We need a place like that here in Atlanta! We have a nice Hobbytown, but those Hong Kong stores are full of fun stuff!
The kids in the RC Car Club at our school that I lead would go nuts in a place like that!
Awesome stuff. A Tamiya Sand Scorcher is always fun to build and paint. Thanks for the video.
Kyosho 8th scale buggy kit.
You will actually get to use it at the local track, it will be fun to build & it's good quality.
I loved my kyosho inferno that I sold b4 moving to NZ.
PS I think it's normal to have 5000+ warhammer models.
The rc that you and Amber are the most passionate about is going to make the best content. I hope you two are in front of each other real soon, what i mean is i hope it goes by faster than you think it will.
I hope time goes by fast too! 🍻
I think the new blockhead buggy looks badass, you should try that one out!!! Happy shopping
Build a Tamiya King Hauler for speed
Agree
Definitely get one of those vintage Tamiya buggy! Maybe the Avante series, or the Top Force, Plasma Edge, or Astute series.
Any designs as long as these vintage ones, I think you are going to love the building experience.
Simply lovely. Nothing close to this in the UK. Its looks like they don't waste much space. A shop here packed with goods like that would just get everything shop lifted I think!
rcMartのネットショップでRCを購入しています。今回、実際のお店の様子が分かりました。ありがとう!
Get a Tamiya TT02 chassis and take it racing. Cheap, lots of amazing bodies available, and a great entry into on road racing
Thanks bro👍 we needed a video like this.. I really like this style of video 😊
1/8th scale electric buggy is next level you'll find a huge joy out at the tracks once back home in the kiwi!
Very rare Traxxas funny car in the shop window!
I have the tamiya 3348 it's the 4x6 dump truck. And the grand hauler with a trailer. I use the semi and trailer when we go on walks with the family and I haul my 2 year old around he weighs 30lbs and it's no problem for the semi in 2nd gear on hills or anything and lasts about an hour with no heat issues. It's crazy. And the dump truck is fun for playing with the kids in the back yard to play with sand.
I wish there were rc shops like this where I live
scx6 is so big,interesting tour dude 😀 👍 👍
Welcome back Man!
It's gotta be the SCX6! Especially since there's so many accessories for crawlers available at RC Mart...you could do a series on the SCX6 buying/installing/testing accessories for it!
SCX 6 would be my choice but they are getting one anyway. But yes a series on it would be great. Don't know if Joe should ride it like a few other channels have. Lol
@@jasontaylor6779
@@TheRcKiwis Joe you are not a small bloke. Just sayin. Lol.
Actually I wanna see you ride it over a ramp.
Nice tour man I would be in heaven over there!! Hope you enjoy HK and get home to amber and the kiddies safe bro! Happy new year.
i enjoyed the Hong kong scenery 😎
Hey Joe. If you have time to kill in quarantine then you may enjoy one of those Bandai transformer (Gundam) kits. They don't require paint or glue and are great fun. You just need to get a decent pair of side snips (Tamiya make nice ones).
You know what, I might just do that! Thanks
Love the title! 😎Some cool shops there, thanks for sharing!
I took inspiration from you and your inside a Japanese Rc hobby store! 😁think I will definitely have to do more of these videos! 🍻
That shredder is awesome love to have one
Inside a RC hobby shop in Hong Kong, great shop.
That redcat shedder or maybe the kyosho gt3 Mercades. Awesome video and those stores are so cool
I got a Tamya Avante for xmas 30 years ago... It was such a cool RC. Wish I still had it.. Have to get my two boys into RC cars now.
Those stores have serious inventory!!! Hobby express is my go to hobby shop in Pennsylvania 🇺🇸
Thank you so much for this "inside the heaven of RC" video ... it was a awaken dream :-) Last year i ordered from RC Mart a lot of upgrades for the Tamiya Wild Willy 2, but the customs cost was so expensive (il live in France)... Now i want to go living at Hong Kong !!! 🙂 So now, your next holidays location will be Taiwan and their RC shops please !!!!
WOW AWESOME VIDEO DUDE!!! 🤠
The INFERNO mp9 is awesome to run on the track. A friend of mine has that one, and I have the Typhon 6s BLX, and both are fun and fast.
I’d like to see you build one of the 1/14 scale semi trucks! I’ve been looking at those for years and plan on building one some day.
Buy the Tamiya Avante Black Edition!
Get the Tamiya Grasshopper! That was my first RC car I got nearly 38 years ago for Christmas. If it was good enough for Santa Claus then it's good enough for you 🙂
The SCX6 is friggin massive. I have the Gladiator in the gray color and it looks and performs very well for am RTR. She needed a few upgrades, and some tuning. I buy most of my rc stuff from West Valley Hobbies!
Wow that is amazing they have more in store than HobbyTown USA the main hobby store in Colorado that is unbelievable
We see a ton of crawlers and trail trucks as well as Traxxas on yt. I'd enjoy watching something different, like a Semi truck or a street racer.
Awesome tour; but by the end of the video, I had a headache. Most likely due to fast panning and frequent cuts. Just a tip: either use a wider zoom or pan slowly.
great video i like this one i would of like to see more tamiya stuff they had there anyways u showed a few thanks
No hobby stores close to me would love go to one but it's cool to see those across seas
I enjoy your Chanel it’s really helpful thank you guys
Tamiya king hauler
Thanks for the awesome video. Tamiya vehicles are very nice to build and drive but they are not meant to be bashed hard. Especially when they have friction shocks. I would suggest a Lunch Box or Midnight Pumpkin. There are a couple of good upgrades and tips online to make them faster and handle better compared to the stock ones. Especially with a brushless system. A popular classic is the released Tamiya Bruiser as well. If you enjoy racing have a look at the TT01 and TT02 onroad chassis which is not too expensive. The Racing Trucks based on the TT01E chassis are nice looking and can be raced as well.
The Tamiya Super Hotshot would be cool I think. I like those old buggies.
Definitely a Tamiya M chassis. Odd numbers for FWD, even numbers for RWD.
How about something from Tamiya, The Blackfoot, a Tractor Arocs Tipper or Actros Giga space and trailer or King Hauler. The MFC sound unit is a ton of fun. But be ready to put some time in. I have bought from RCMart before, great to deal with. Very cool to see the actual store Thanks from California.
Nice been out of the hobby long time miss it a lot. Need to get back in to it.
Tamiya Frog 🐸 I always wanted one as a kid 👍
Wow, what nice shops. I would like to see the Redcat Shredder 😘
Awesome tour, I didn’t expect everything was written in English
Losi DBXL-E would be an excellent opportunity it's on my wish list 👍👍👍
After what ive seen in the store, get the Tamiya 45” edition porsche RSR from Tmiya. Its sold out all over the world so get two, build one and keep one on the shelf in the box, worth twise the prise as soon you get it to Australia😅
Wow this is rc heaven👍👍👍
My very first RC ever was a Tamaya Hornet. I've been droo
..looking at them on eBay, the originals. It never ran with the stock body lol. Had a mid 80's datsun 4x4 bodyshell on it, that I matched to my dad's truck. It was really cool. Then it was a blue and yellow Wrangler #3 monte carlos ss Dale Earnhardt NASCAR car. Did well on that one too. I did some performance upgrades, think the motor to have back then was the Green Diamond. You can tell probably that appearance was what I was more in to. I had a 15 minute 2 at a time quick charger. I could have 2 batteries ready by the time 1 died lol. Sure do wish I had something like that today for lipo. Usually I got a good 45 minutes run time before it was shop time lmao.
O yeah 👌👌 thanks for sharing this one...
Those Avante's are Tamiya GOLD!!!!!! Get one of ea and shelf queen them and watch the value go up.
Thumbs up 👍🏼. Get a Kyosho USA 1 Joe .
That’s high on the list for sure!
That’s a good one!
Get the Blitzer Beatle, that was my first hobby grade RC I loved that thing.it grew with me for a while with hop-ups was kinda cool to build from scratch also get too know your RC more that way.
The Avante. The one in the window at the 1st store. Not a cheap one
Tamiya: u missed the all time classic in the window at the first store. The avante was their legendary kit! Check what they go for on eBay.
So nice to just pop
Down and grab replacement parts!!!
That truck kit looks real nice. I would like to see a build of that one. I know, expensive.
You need a Hotshot for your first Tamiya!!🇬🇧 Awesome video!!👍
Great tour enough said 👍🏼
I used to Race professionally on road and off road RC cars in the 80’s & 90’s.
I just bought a traxxas bandit vxl I love it . Maybe you can have a on road hpi show or something
Nice looking hobby shop👍
I would love to see you guys build a Tamiya semi.
Tamiya was very popular back in the day in 80s hence they still sell them, though they feel like vintage now!
Agree. The new formula car tho wow
Great stuff, big like and ya just got a new subscriber
If you want a show to watch, I really recommend Space Battleship Yamato 2199. That's the model in 11:44. And yeah, someone made a remote control boat version of it.
Awesome! Thanks for sharing mate!
Its wild to see what crosses over and what doesn't. I seen those holmes hobbies servos, I have one of the shv800 , direct power up to 4s, ridiculous torque specs. It will destroy a cheap aluminum servo horn, and pull threads on weak links. so check your endpoints. Also makes killer brushed motors. His facility is only 2 hours from me. Also been to the castle facility. Close enough to drive to.
I've been trying to sell my drag stuff to get one of the new usa1 electric monsters, I have like 800 wrapped up in a smt10 I built from scratch. But that new usa1 truck looks like it would mop up
that s2000 tamiya model is worth a ton of money dude!!!
Honestly Joe the redcat shredder 1/6 has been out for years, alot of peolle upgrade it to 6s or even 8s and its vicious
😅 I had no idea.. they told me it was released a week ago maybe they meant instock a week ago... 😁🍻
Shredder in USA has been out for at least two years if not more..
Nice Joe , that's 2 serious hobby shops , l bet you bought something , you wouldn't go to all the trouble and not buy any goodies : D
The problem is right now I'm moving between hotels and soon will be flying all over and living out of a suitcase. But im organising a storage room so I can stock up and then bring all the goodies back home in NZ for us to do videos on! 😁🍻
@@TheRcKiwis Any shops you deal with , tell them you want "free shipping" direct to NZ on larger boxes and small things buy another suitcase to suit , that may save you on storage problems. With the time shipping takes solves storage issue and cost .
Try a Tamiya for a change? TD4 or Top Force Evo for the track, or an Avante just for sheer building enjoyment?
Get the Hornet as your first Tamiya it's just a bit more money than the Grasshopper but upgraded with a bigger motor and better shocks.
Tamiya big rig for sure. 😮👍
I'm gonna vote for Traxxas 4-Tec 3.0 and Kyosho Inferno GT2 VE. Yes, on-road/touring R/C is my thing. Definitely would love to see that in this channel, great video as always, Joe!
Cheers mate! Happy New Year! 🎉🎉
Get the tamiya super hot shot. Meanest looking vintage rc and handles beautifully!
I like RCMart! 🥰🐶
Where are all the RC Airplanes?
Get the Tamiya Top Force Evo, comes with pre-painted bodyshell, hop-ups and bearing and you don't have to paint the driver as compare to other Tamiya kits.
You need a Tamiya on the show either a tt02 or m series chassis 🤙🏼
Got to get another grasshopper and hornet. They where my first two 35 yes ago. Whaoo I'm old. Hehe
Wow what a shop !!
I want to see the shredder would be cool to see you send it and see how good redcat big boy stuff is🤪SHREDDER SHREDDER 😜
i would live in those stores xD
