See the lady mentioned going into work or dancing class, however, just imagine doing daily tasks: dishes, cooking, showering, taking care of pets or kids if you have them. Life doesn’t stop just because you’re in pain, but society thinks it’s “normal” and people are just being overdramatic.
@@basementgang wanna hear something even more crazy? Y’all were just dealing with the pain aspect. Did you know some have some heavy cycles that it lowers their red blood cell count? I literally got hospitalized this weekend because of a health issue that happened at the same time as a heavier than normal menstrual cycle. I had to have a blood transfusion because my body couldn’t make enough to cover what I was losing. My case wasn’t just because of my period (it certainly didn’t help obviously) but I’ve known some where it was just their period that was the concern.
And this doesn’t include the lethargy, headaches, cravings, hormonal pimples, pain EVERYWHERE, mood swings, bleeding, the butthole pain and period poops and food cravings 😂😂😂 Thank you guys for trying to walk in women’s shoes on what they go through every month for 1+ weeks 😂
💯! Not only that but every male in state's house and congress, especially senate, should HAVE to try this! ! This is how it is for every month for 3 to 10 days for 4 decades! Women, we get the work done!
The cramps radiate to our backs, legs, crotch and buttholes. I've had spasms that literally nearly took me to my knees and I still had to work and function. Men have no idea.
Bruh in the tan hoodie was feeling the REAL deal. He was sweaty and quiet 😂. One dude towards the end sounded like he was going into labor. Welcome to our world. Difference is, we don’t have a remote to turn it off 🥺
And it goes on for 30+ years or so, each and every month, for the better part of half the month, 24/7. Unless we are pregnant; and then there's carrying to term, the labor and the delivery, plus the post- partum!! I find it funny that billions of us gals have gone through this for thousands of years, quietly, stoically. It's just life. We deal with it.
Yep. I have to take Ibuprofen every 4 hours on the dot or it won’t work. Like as soon as I feel a cramp and I don’t already have ibuprofen in my system it’s too late.
I remember one time I was at the mall and had a menstrual cramp that was so intense I started to swear and get light-headed..... I had to literally sit on the floor outside of H&M and beg my boyfriend at the time to get me some water and something sweet. And I remember him looking down at me like I was just being over dramatic. I remember feeling SO embarrassed & hurt...... Needless to say he is now my Ex-boyfriend and my current partner (who grew up with 3 sisters + Mom) dotes on me when he knows it's that time of the month and NEVER belittles my pain. There are 2 types of men out there, ladies....my only advice is to choose wisely!! 😂
My mom always said to drink orange juice while on you period. It doesn't take all the cramps away but it does lightheaded. When people give blood they are handed orange juice.
Also remember these machines are gentler than real period cramps, these only somewhat touch the surface of muscles whereas cramps affect the entire body and internal organs as well
This is why I'm curious to try one; I want to see how accurately they compare to my (former) gut wringing, can't-stand-up, everything from the naval to the knees HURTS pain that no pain reliever could even touch. (Perimenopause ain't as great as it sounds when you're 25, but it beats being in that kinda pain.)
@@courtneyr6645 they're supposedly 'gentler than real period cramps', yet appear to be set at a rather high level (ie labour simulation level) judging by the way the men react. I understand some people have stronger cramps than other during periods but to say that is a fair representation is not true. I've had many periods and given birth... Even on particular bad days, it's nowhere near as what they're trying to make it out to be.
So much respect for these men that tried to put themselves in our shoes. I appreciate immensely any man who tries to understand how painful our periods can be.
I bet everytime their girlfriends, wives or daughters say they have cramps, these guys are gonna take very good care of them because of this experience
I love how the men can barely move. Yet, the woman teaching them dancing could easily be on her period experiencing the same pain and still dancing, smiling, and laughing. The strength we women have.
Its biological men and womens pain tolerance so i wouldnt imagine a man could be able to understand it as the womans body is literally built to handle more pain in certain areas so its not as painful.
Hats off to these guys for being open-minded enough to do this. They seem like they were already empathetic beforehand, but wanted to have better understanding.
Good for these guys for working on their compassion. As a menopausal woman now, I can say my periods taught me to switch off to my own pain and even most basic emotional needs… we just had to get on with things, regardless of pain, low blood pressure and depression caused by hormonal shifts. I still struggle to give myself a break unless I’m literally too ill to move
The funniest thing is that they were all laughing at each other, but when the pain cranked up they were holding on to each other and crying. Very accurate 💀
This reminds me of when I was 12 and crying from my second or third ever period, because it was the w o r s t pain I had ever experienced, and my mom came in all mad because I was “upsetting the men” with my pain. The sound of my groans was making them uncomfortable. It makes me sad to think about little me’s pain being so openly ignored by the people that were supposed to give af about “her”
Had a similar experience around the same age. It hurt so much I threw up then kept was dry heaving... until I almost passed out. I was miserable. I wish I could have given 12 yr old you a hug. 😭
That’s horrid! My mom was better but she had similar experiences to me-started very young and just super painful. My daughter is having the same now and I definitely take her seriously. Even had her tested for a couple of things to rule them out.
I had bad cramps most of the time through my teen years -- they got mostly better later on, thank bleep, although every now and then they'd hit me like a runaway truck -- and my mom's response was, "I have cramps sometimes, they're not that bad, you're going to school." Yeah, 'cause *those* were productive days of learning. [mutter] I think your mom and my mom must be cousins or something. :/
My pain was so bad that I couldn’t stop rolling in the floor and I threw up, later when I was stable my dad brought my sushi and flowers. And mom tried to manage my pain with ibuprofen and heating pad, but I was 4th in line of 6 girls. So by the time I had my period everyone was kind of versed.
Exactly! I'd be popping Advil like tictacs. And they wonder why we are in a bad mood. No guy has ever called a female with cramps a "b-tch" and lived to tell about it. 😂
@@mermaid30019 exactly. I have PCOS and I’ve DEF sounded like that on many a day. Just curled up in a ball trying to push the heating pad into my uterus, wanting to die 🫠
I noticed that. I was actually waiting to see the forehead sweat, because that’s how you know it’s real! Lol I had massive fibroid tumors as well as ovarian cysts (I ended up having a hysterectomy), and the pain was out of this world. Such a miserable time, every single month.
One guy mentioned the pain being in his legs. This is accurate, it can also be in the lower back. The pain can radiate anywhere actually but most women report it in the lower back and thighs.
It's the optimistic dance steps for me lol. She was so hyper and energetic while they all looked half dead. It was so funny. It really is like that some times. You are just kinda hanging on to your last good mood lol.
In all seriousness I give these guys all kinds of props. They get to 7 or 8 and they're hanging onto the walls, saying it's time to call in sick, needing to sit, but determined to hit level 10. You guys are my heroes
You really should have told the other side affects of periods. Examples: diarrhea, constipation, headache, nausea, Fatigue, Dizziness, irritability, insomnia, hectic fever, and hot flashes. I'm not naming the rest because there's too many to go over
Also depression, confusion and a feeling of insanity. One time during my period I couldn't sleep because I was convinced the thoughts in my head were made by someone else living there. Apparently that's all period related.
It reminded me of being in high school and gripping the sides of the desk till my fingers were white in order to deal with the intense pain without showing it. You've got to try to look normal. And then sometimes class bell would sound and I felt like I could hardly stand or walk for pain but I couldn't let other people see that. Oh the memories! ;)
I used to work in a law office, the attorney was crying about going to the gym and ordering me around to get him pain pills and heating pad bc he was in pain. Meanwhile I had to go 3 flights down stairs to his car, get him comfortable supplies, all while my period was killing me inside, but I had to smile and comfort HIM. needless to say, I'm not working there anymore.
I’ve tried these, and as someone with PCOS, a 10 is like, 100x milder than my mildest pain. I do appreciate guys who try stuff like this and walk away even more empathetic for it.
I tried one of these recently too. I had pcos and moderate/severe endometriosis before I had everything removed 2 years ago. We got to 10 and I was like "that's it?" And my husband was struggling to breathe and asking if we could be done lol he wanted to know what it felt like though cuz it seemed important.
Thank you for giving this context I have fibroids that cause me so much pain I think we often gaslight ourselves into thinking we’re overreacting or don’t handle pain well
Man I remember when I was younger in class and curled up from the pain, literally hyperventilating, and some dude had the absolute audacity to look my little self in the eye and say “It’s honestly not that bad, get over it it’s just a cramp. We deal with worse when we get kicked in the balls, stop being a crybaby.” and I legitimately almost punched him but I couldn’t because every single male in the vicinity promptly agreed and glares at me when I tried to talk back. I am legit so grateful for you dudes being willing to try that out, you’re so cool and I am in awe of your strength. No way I could’ve been able to reach the levels you did without passing out, for real. Thank you for going through that to get a better feel for what we deal with, it’s seriously so appreciated that you were willing to do that. I know that if those guys back then had done what you did, they wouldn’t have said a damn thing.
I would have asked how long does the pain last when you get kicked in a nutsack, okay try living life with that pain for a whole week and then come back and talk to me.
I remember as a 12 year old throwing up and being on the bathroom floor in tears every single month begging my parents to let me surgically remove my ovaries. It only “eased” off when I graduated high school
Yea same. 7 days of heavy flow nonstop, irregular. Sometimes I skipped a month or 3 months and sometimes I had it twice in a month for 7 days. While my mother felt bad for me because she only bled 2 days very light.
I used to pass out from about 12 to about 15 or 16. Back pain, horrible cramps, vaginal soreness (which is different from cramps the exterior of my genitals for sore), the heaviest flow but the passing was bad because I often got injured. Then it just stopped. I still don’t really know what that was about.
I was given hot tea, a hot water bottle and ice pack for headache during my first cycle. Side table water and midol. By second year I was skipping school because mom said period pain isn't reason enough to stay home. By 20 I was diagnosed with endometriosis and pcos, by 22 dercums disease rheumatoid arthritis sjogrens and fibromyalgia. So many comorbidities to count now. Please for whomever sees this know that you know your body better than anyone. If you tell someone they don't believe you like a Dr go to another. No one deserves to live in constant pain. Some treatments can help some
As a teen I was always 8-10 to the point of passing out. Used to slide down the stairs to make it to my moms room in the middle of the night because I couldn’t walk or speak and she always knew what to do. She would make me tea and plug in the heating pad for me. Imagine reverting back to being a newborn at 15-16 years old waking your mom up for relief and not being able to communicate your needs. Cheers to doing it all ladies 😩🙄
Yeah same. My parents don’t ever let me skip school unless it’s the first day of my period cause I spend the whole day immobile, sleeping, puking, and crying. I don’t think people realize how bad it can get for women. 😅
Got my period at 9 yrs old and suffered year after year with doctors saying it's all in my head. At 25 got a total hysterectomy and had no regrets. If men really got periods they would be on a morphine drip.
They made wait til I was 30, and that was after 2 other failed surgeries. The perimenopause sucks but I'm not bleeding half to death every month and can walk standing straight up, so I'll count that as a win. 😁
This seriously brought me to tears. Wasn’t expecting it to. I’m on my period right now and am feeling not seen at work by my male managers. I have a terribly heavy and painful flow, but male managers expect me to keep the same speed and energy in the work place as them. They have no sympathy. And it’s always been this way with all the men in my life, they have no clue how much strength it takes to just act like nothing is going on and to continue working “as normal.” Wish society would change. I’m so tired of this. I’m mid 30s, and I feel so over sexism. Thank you for saying you’re sorry to all the women. That is what brought me to tears. I’ve never heard that from a man in my life.
It's very hard when people don't show compassion but it helps you learn to have it for yourself, not pretend nothing is going on and give yourself the time, rest and care you need when you go through so much pain. As long as we love ourselves we will be fine
Lets add the women with Endometriosis, or PCOS there's LEVELS to this CHAOS. Being in constant agony, body aches everywhere, mood swings, irritable, cravings.. wanting to cry and punch people if they even ask..
Brave?! 😂 Sound like a bunch of whiny pants to me!! If those guys are brave for trying a simulator for a few minutes, what does that makes all of us women who do this on an average of every 28 days for 25 - 35 YEARS? We manage to have babies in between (oh please oh PLEASE make a labor simulator that goes on for 48 hours!) and then get to endure the joys of menopause!!! 🤣
The breathing, the sweating and sounds as you're managing the pain is accurate! And the holding on to something as you try to endure thr pain is on point!
I love how these guys are trying to put themselves in our shoes and they're being great sports participating in trying these period pain simulators. Good job guys! Man, I remember the days where my period pain wpuld cause my body to overheat, I'd feel naseated from the pain I'd throw up in the toilet. My menstrual pain was the worse when I started puberty all the way until my late 20's. Thankfully the pain I'd feel began to cease in lessen as I got my 30's & 40's. ♥️
I truly believe this would be great in a grade 11/12 school curriculum for the boys to see how bad things get, maybe it would then give them the understanding and how to be a little kinder and more helpful on those “lady days”. These guys did a great job.
And have an entire school of girls laugh at them and be like "boys are weak!" at a time where scum like AT are still relevant? I don't think that would go like you think it would. Although I do wish men and women were more empathetic to each others pains.
@@HeindsAGGuess what... some of us women deal with that too!!! Maybe read the comments under the video and you would shut the fuck up about your stomach issues!!!
👏Once a month 👏every month. 👏Get up go to work or school act normal. This is why when women get sick we just keep going, we’re used to feeling like crap and still acting normal. And just think this is period pain… LABOR PAIN IS SO MUCH WORSE
Me mum would keep me out of school and I'n bed with a TV that was so many years ago I'm sori we don't treat ladies better during this time like being able to stay home and be
I partially blame period commercials too cause they always show women happy looking and doing physical activities like it's nothing, that can be true at points (like you're hiding how in pain you are) but they should also show people on the couch or in bed curled up lol
Poor guys. Y'all are brave! Tough as that was, at least you didn't have to do that for a week, along with the headaches, fatigue, bloating, and other side effects.
How about some kudos to the ladies who suffer every month. The average woman has over 3000 menstrual cycles in her life unless she has loads of children.
@@sharonannrees2824 and it's no ones fault you can't hate men for not having a period it's just how nature made us I'm a woman and I can apreciate a man who is willing to try and be a sport about it most men don't even want to consider trying to see what we go trough every month
This actually made me really emotional. I wish more people could understand like this. Even so, there’s no real empathy these men can have because they turn off these machines and never have to think about it again - I still have to show up every single day even when I can’t stand up straight bc the pain is radiating down my legs & up into my eyes.
Dont forget the bloating, constipation, then diarrhea, then back to constipation, irritability, mood swings, insane food cravings, hunger, nausea, headaches, ftigue.....but be sure to put on a smile, go to work like nothing is wrong, and do everything as normal. I started mine in 4th grade, and from day one it was curl into a ball and die . I was lucky if I could get 14 days of freedom before the next one hit. Luckily they have spread out to a more normal cycle, but all the baggage of symptoms comes with it
I do not miss labor at all. I was so thankful when my nurse gave me epidural. I cried and hugged her with such relief because I thought I definitely was gonna die😂😂😂
I have a "TENS" unit and have used it for back pain quite a bit. My husband was curious about it so I let him try in once. I normally had it at 8-10 and he tapped out at 4! I was walking around, doing housework, cooking, laundry, etc. and he couldn't even walk! He told me afterwards that he felt really guilty because he always thought that I was exaggerating and was (quietly) judging me for being a "weak woman" and not able to withstand a little discomfort! He was a little more understanding after that.
You guys! This was one of the best period pain simulator videos because you actually tried to do things that involved your bodies and minds. A lot of people try them just sitting on the couch, but I feel like you got a much more realistic experience of 10 minutes of a period.
On my period I can range from 7-10; and I just force myself to act normal, forcing myself to go to work, do household shores, ect, or else otherwise I’m seen as “whiny” or “lazy”. But seeing them immediately understand and go “I’d call off work”, and say “I can’t believe you have to go through that.”, warmed by heart. I hope all everyone can experience this, so they can treat their partners/friends/coworkers/family with just a little more love, kindness and understanding in the future.
I only just started experiencing the extreme cramp pains which have made me vomit now while I’m in menopause! Never had them this bad during my menstruating years. Strong Chamomile tea helps really well though.
I also vomited every month for about two years and had extremely heavy periods with a lot of large tissue passing. Eventually my doctor put me on a mild pain killer and gave me a note to be excused for school absences one or two days every month. After I had my first child they weren’t quite as bad but still extreme. Before menopause I wound up with hypermenorrhagia and had to have a D&C and got two units of red blood cells and some kind of IV medication to stop my bleeding. I nearly died. Periods are no joke. While everyone was complaining about hot flashes I was more like oh yea I’ll take the hot flashes to get past the periods. 40 years of agony was enough.
@@Catnymph2006 Omg so sorry. That’s really extreme! I had a few friends & relatives who had it that bad too and with a couple of my friends they ended up having cysts which would explain the bad pain. I did get the heavy periods though & my gynaecologist ended up putting me on iron supplements during my bleeding years after I started getting dizzy a lot. I use CBD oil or edibles for the pain & inflammation now as well as chamomile tea which helps immensely with stomach cramps. Glad to be over menstruation now at least.
As a man, I definitely plan to do this at some point in my life. Maybe as a bonding exercise with my future gf/wife to better understand the pain she goes through every month
You never know if they are just feeling it in their surface muscles or is it getting into the organs too. Actual period pain cramps the smooth muscles of what would be the prostate. So the taint, back, and anal muscles should all be cramping too.
This is why we have a higher threshold of pain. Month after month for years (and yes, months are different, some mercifully have no pain, but few). We LIVE with this. Forty years later, I still remember the waves of pain I had as a teenager.
I never had cramps, but my daughter does. Based on what I saw my mom deal with (severe cramps and migraines), I would have taken the bullet to spare my child this kind of pain.
i read something a while back that said women are better at dealing with prolonged pain, like cramps, illness, ect... and men better at dealing with pain in the moment, like harsh injuries. which explain why men tend to not handle being sick well, and women will show their man their bruises and scrapes all week until they're healed lol.
Bless these guys for doing this earnestly, and not as a joke. I think their lives and/or opinions might be slightly different now with regards to stupid cramps. I used to get them so bad...don't miss it at all!
I appreciate everyone here. The guys for doing it and dancing through the pain, the ladies for knowing and offering them chairs, and the educational value of this.
Lol it's the fact that right when these tests start, or soon after, the males are in extreme pain, whereas us females are at 10 and don't feel pain because we go through it every month 😂
It's not even that we don't feel it, we are still in pain, we just eventually don't react to it as much. The pain is still there, it's still extreme, but we have to learn to cope with it.
as a level 10 cramper I think that all men but also all women who don't get bad cramps should have to experience this, so they can understand what we're going through.
I'm lucky (I guess?) that I don't get extremely painful cramps, but my sister does. Whenever my dad is yelling at us to do something and she's in pain, I'll tell her to go up to her room and lie down, and I'll handle the jerk.
I wonder if the levels have been woman approved. As in is a 10 really a 10 on the machine? I have a feeling our 10 in real life is probably a 7 on the machine 🤷🏾♀️. It's no joke!!!
This video gave me flashbacks to traumatic experiences with menstruation as a teen. Before I started menstruation, I used to think my sister was being over dramatic because I lacked understanding of what periods were. In sixth grade, my first period arrived right around the time when our class was learning biology. I never cramped until a few years later. My cramps were generally between a pain level 5 and 8. However, I have experienced a level 10 once, and it was the most frightening thing ever. My family left the house and I was walking from the the living room preparing to take a nap because my cramps were escalating. Before I could reach the den, I was hit with the most terrible sensation all over my body that knocked me down to my hands and knees. It was the most indescribable feeling ever. I felt locked within my own body and couldn’t move for at least two minutes because of these sharp pains that worsened with movement. I couldn’t muster enough energy to stand and walk, but was finally able to slowly crawl two rooms over to a couch where my phone was. I immediately contacted my parents and had to wait for hours before they could bring back pain medication. It took me an hour of tossing and turning to find a somewhat comfortable-enough fetal position to fall asleep. I was crying, nauseated and felt absolutely miserable. All I could do was sleep because nothing could distract me from the pain. I felt like a hot mess, and finally understood what my sister was going through all those years 😅 We have been programmed to think that cramping during periods are normal, but it is actually abnormal to cramp during menstruation. There’s are underlying issues that are ignored and unaddressed by doctors, including most gynecologists, because they lack knowledge of the abnormalities that occur with the female reproductive system, and how to provide treatment that works.
I was a level 10 when I first got my period, then when I had my twin sons, I went to a level 2.... sometimes I feel them, and other times I dont.... thanks to my sons, lol
Ah, the memories!...all those years of agony in my monthly torture chamber. Unable to straighten my back for a week because it felt like I had an anvil strapped to it, my abdominal muscles knitted so tight I would vomit and then dry-heave repeatedly, the nausea and tension, the vice-grip thigh cramps, the hammer pounding headaches, the groaning in pain that awakened my family and made them all unhappy...now thank GOD! I'm in my 50's and FREE AT LAST!!!!!!!!!!!!
You did well Nick 🙌 as someone currently at a level 8 or 9 and at work right now, I appreciate you guys trying it! We start young so we’re well used to this pain, this was your first time. So props.
I actually appreciate them for doing it. And yes it's tht bad. Pain isn't even the only reason our moods change. It's also literally the hormones in our bodies which we can't control. And to finish it of... The only reason you see more of a physical reaction on these guys compared to a womans reaction not seeming so dramatic, is because we go through it every month. So we handle it differently since we experience it so often
And I definitely believe we have a higher pain tolerance, for sure 😊 They hung in there, & kudos to them for going thru w/it! 🎉 Good job guys..always remember that pain, as it will remind you to always have empathy for the women in your life ❤️🩹
First 4 days are hell. I sleep like a mummy with towels on my bed to avoid accidents..I loved they asked for giving them 10 seconds. Lol not in the real world, you keep going with a fake ass smile hiding your pain and all the other factors
As a woman who suffered severe cramps every month from age 10 until age 55, it’s refreshing to see some men experience what I went through all my life. Brave guys! Every male in my life would roll their eyes if I said I was having cramps and expect me to carry on like normal.
As I sit here, at 55 STILL on my cycle in perimenopause - this had me laughing in tears! Started at 13 in 1980 - and yes, perimenopause can be worse than when I was younger & even then, it was tough! Hopefully younger men will have more empathy than my generation. Back then, they actually told us it was all in the mind and not real! True progress will be when all jobs give 3 to 5 days of paid "menstrual leave" every month at the bare minimum!
My periods are getting closer together with mine too, so they are regular but about once every three weeks now. And those hot flushes all night are so damn uncomfortable. Some of my periods are more painful than they were before now too, it’s a lot! I too started mine at 13.
The bare minimum? Okay come on now that's just being ridiculous. Most periods only last 5-7 days (sometimes even less) and we DO NOT have period cramps during our entire period! The pain is only from the endrometrium sloughing off of our uterus lining so it can shed. This only happens in the beginning and the rest is just spent cleaning out that lining/blood. But you want AT THE BARE MINIMUM 3-5 days paid leave? You're just milking it now. This is why it is so hard for Women to get the treatment they deserve because so many Women expect more than is necessary for our needs to be met.
@@BambiKushtheSmutPeddler You're going to blame other women "asking for too much" for decades and centuries of women's health not being taken as seriously as men's? If you're going to only fight for what you think of as "an average cycle" and "the maximum amount of empathy women should ask for" then a massive amount of women who fall outside what you think of as the average are not going to get the care they need, especially the women who have it the worst
@@schnozz4301 I agree with her. Average women (read MOST) don't have the extreme cases you brought up, so any policy should be built around the average. If we give three weeks paid leave because of the few women per worksite that have these cases, it'll get to the point where any sensible profit conscious employee would ask himself, "Why bother hiring women?" Let's not milk it, just like she rightly said.
@@BambiKushtheSmutPeddler Not arguing over the amount of time off in question. I hate to tell you but mine were never 5-7 days or less. 7-10 and sometimes 14. I had migraines and vomiting every day. I had to double up to not bleed out. Big fat horrible pad and a super plus tampon. When I hit Perimenopause it got worse with the constant pain and it felt like a hot knife was peeling my muscles off my abdomen. I'm finally post menopausal thank God. I also worked as a CNA during all that. Imagine having to physically pull on people 200+ to 500 lbs. I love my new no period life so much. Oh and I got my first at 10 years old.
For everyone who bleeds a lot on their period, take iron and vitamin c supplements. It helps a LOT. Also, thank you Basement Gang for being so respectful, y’all are some real ones.
It sounds inconsequential but I love that they were sweating through it. Like they're dancing of course, but watching them grimace and sweat I was like EXACTLY. You do that little half bend over and breathe and your head has a cold sweat. This was accurate alright 🤣
Now imagine being in the "dark ages" (dating myself) and being told that cramps were all in my head, as well as the nausea and other wonderful things that came along with them! And being asked if I really felt that bad while walking bent over trying to get to the car to go home, praying that I would be able to drive. Lots of respect for these men.
I still remember the time I was working at a fast food joint and the a/c was broken. I have endometriosis, and the heat combined with the pain and HEAVY flow brought me to the point where I almost passed out. Couldn't go home though, cause I was a college student & could NOT afford to lose my job. That's the day I decided to go on the Depo Prevera shot. Had I known then that the shot would later on cause me to be unable to have children, I'd have taken the pain.
Half the planet don't experience this pain. Those of us that do can't blame them for not understanding. But things like this that let them experience it is wonderful. I shared this with my husband and he apologized to me for whenever he made light of period pain. That was worth a lot to me.
I’m so glad devices like this exist for men to experience what they have come to mock and sometimes laugh at how much pain women go through on a monthly basis to month basis. Life NEVER stops for us! We have to keep pushing and prove ourselves to be as great as a man in every way.
OMG I love the woman leading the dances! You can tell she's been in a training space with cramps. Solidarity, sister. When you can simulate the sensation of your uterus lining seeping out of your body with the cramps, I'm in.
I've seen a lot of these type of videos. I had a hysterectomy a couple of months ago. Been pain free since. Such a blessing. Prior to the surgery, I had PCOS and Endometriosis, diagnosed as stage 4 sixteen years ago. When the cramping was bad I felt it from my rib cage to my knees. Radiating from the uterus out in waves. The strong pain bills I would start before the pain kicked in would only take the top off the pain not eliminate it. Since I was 11 years old I have had periods lasting a minimum of 7 days in duration. The last couple of years was constant bleeding only slowing to spotting but never completely stopped. I am not trying to "compete" with anyone, just sharing my experience and how bad it can be. I wouldn't wish it on anyone.
Now, imagine experiencing this for 10-12 days, every month, for 40 years...and dealing with people who don't understand why you ARE NOT in the mood to entertain their foolishness.
When that dude started doing his Lamaze breathing, I cracked up so hard. This is so cathartic. I thought I was the 'I wouldn't wish this pain on anyone' type of person but i guess i'm not. I mean I feel low-key guilty about it but I'm still Lmao.
Empathy is a good thing. We know this pain isn't permanent for them and it serves a purpose. So in my mind it's ok to watch the lightbulbs come on and enjoy the enlightenment
That's because they weren't 'shunned' to let their feelings flow. They got to do the real. Of course, we know, after an hour of this...they'd be crying "Elizabeth....I'm coming to join you.".
I need to show this to the people who don’t get why I had to get an IUD. My periods were so heavy and painful that I eventually became anemic. 20 plus years I dealt with that. I took birth control for a while to try and ease the pain but all it did was make me gain weight. I still have periods but now they are VERY light and life is a cabaret. 😊
Mine too! Also partly because I had fibroids. It has taken me years to get the anemia under control. I am finally not anemic for the first time in years. People have no clue.
This is what I show puritans when they judge me for having nexplanon in my arm and assume that Inwanna be a slut without consequences. I will show them this. Thi is why I have to have a rod in my arms so I can be able to function because if I call in every month For like 4/days it will get tiring. And I am tired of pain.
@@WenD1908 Also good point. I had a step dad who was Nigerian when I first started. My mom wasn't home and he was so terrified. He started praying and speaking in tongues over my stomach until my mom got home. 🤣 Men should definitely be more educated in it.
I had endometriosis and was literally in the bed for a week every month (solid 10 pain), then it took another couple of weeks to get back on my feet. I had one GOOD week a month. Hysterectomy was one of the best things I ever did. I applaud ya'll for trying it. There's a reason some of us just can't function during certain times. I wouldn't wish it on anyone!
They sound like they're giving birth and busting a sweat for period cramps!😭Haven't even surpassed 7, and they're already calling in for work! I'm crying 💀
See the lady mentioned going into work or dancing class, however, just imagine doing daily tasks: dishes, cooking, showering, taking care of pets or kids if you have them. Life doesn’t stop just because you’re in pain, but society thinks it’s “normal” and people are just being overdramatic.
This!!!!!❤️
PERIODT!!! Imagine dealing with the level 10 pain and expected to stand at the sink/stove, chase after a a child, clean, or go grocery shopping.
It’s definitely not normal convinced you women are superheros
@@basementgang wanna hear something even more crazy? Y’all were just dealing with the pain aspect. Did you know some have some heavy cycles that it lowers their red blood cell count? I literally got hospitalized this weekend because of a health issue that happened at the same time as a heavier than normal menstrual cycle. I had to have a blood transfusion because my body couldn’t make enough to cover what I was losing. My case wasn’t just because of my period (it certainly didn’t help obviously) but I’ve known some where it was just their period that was the concern.
I have my own business, when I get my period I try to hide for as long as I can. Because we all know sh... is about to go down.
And this doesn’t include the lethargy, headaches, cravings, hormonal pimples, pain EVERYWHERE, mood swings, bleeding, the butthole pain and period poops and food cravings 😂😂😂
Thank you guys for trying to walk in women’s shoes on what they go through every month for 1+ weeks 😂

The cramps radiate to our backs, legs, crotch and buttholes. I've had spasms that literally nearly took me to my knees and I still had to work and function. Men have no idea.

@Roguelily79 they sure in the hell dont
It feels like your vagina is about to fall out onto the floor.
I've been trying to explain the butthole pain to my husband and he just doesn't understand lol he tries but just can't.
Why I got an hysterectomy
Bruh in the tan hoodie was feeling the REAL deal. He was sweaty and quiet 😂.
One dude towards the end sounded like he was going into labor.
Welcome to our world. Difference is, we don’t have a remote to turn it off 🥺
He was having those call off work, mama keep me home from school cramps. I DO NOT miss those days!
Yeap, guy in the tan Hoodie understands the meaning of suffering in silence.
It turns off at menopause and it ain’t any better
I was reading your comment at the exact moment he hit that "HO HO HO HO, HEE HEE HEE HEE!" 🤣🤣🤣
"You can turn your machine off at anytime"
Shoot! I wish it was that easy for us ladies!
Us too 😢

Oh wow ... now that WOULD be a real breakthrough if med science could accomplish that
The way they all just slowly start doubling over… felt. Deeply felt.
Sometimes pain meds don’t even help, yet we’re expected to continue about our daily activities as if nothing’s wrong 😭 It’s really a struggle.
I literally have to overdose on pain meds just to make the pain go away
I used cataflam for pain
Yep. I have to take Ibuprofen every 4 hours on the dot or it won’t work. Like as soon as I feel a cramp and I don’t already have ibuprofen in my system it’s too late.
@@siriuslylostwerewolf I had to take 800 MG of ibuprofen.
Imagine we had to listen to the teacher, take notes, feel the trickle or gush and ask a girlfriend to see if any was on our pants as we left class.🩸
I would choose man #2 everytime
The pain can be ungodly. They need to add the leg and lower back pain and the sensation of sitting in ice cold water.
Don't forget the booty cramps that come along sometimes.
My mom always said to drink orange juice while on you period. It doesn't take all the cramps away but it does lightheaded. When people give blood they are handed orange juice.
I use to not be able stand walk straight
Also remember these machines are gentler than real period cramps, these only somewhat touch the surface of muscles whereas cramps affect the entire body and internal organs as well
This is why I'm curious to try one; I want to see how accurately they compare to my (former) gut wringing, can't-stand-up, everything from the naval to the knees HURTS pain that no pain reliever could even touch. (Perimenopause ain't as great as it sounds when you're 25, but it beats being in that kinda pain.)
It's a labour contraction simulator, nothing like period cramps at all
@@alana2830 .. Yeah some people have cramps that bad, I was one of them, No pain reliever would help, I definitely dont miss those days... Lol

Yeah. We used to it.
🎯🎯🎯
I think our brains are designed to accept or control the pain.
Exactly! And yet there are some idiot people that still call women the weaker gender? I think not!
Yes they were good sports. Lol
Very accurate
My pain was so intense that my mom would give me valium. She always carried it in her purse.
This is hysterical. Now do it for 5 days. And work...and watch the kids...and clean the house....

I’m proud of the ones who made it to 10. Now they know what we go through every month. It isn’t fun at all.
Just imagine if all men were like this every month, the world would come to a standstill😂😂😂
You said it 😂😂😂
Nah...women would figure out how to keep the world going for sure ☺️
probably menstrual leave at work would be a global thing
They would make it a national holiday.
There would be no wars coz whole squads would have all the time those days in a month ....

He even called it "contractions"
For women with endometriosis 8-10 is their level of pain.

A real eye opener every guy needs to try this
I tried one of these recently too. I had pcos and moderate/severe endometriosis before I had everything removed 2 years ago. We got to 10 and I was like "that's it?" And my husband was struggling to breathe and asking if we could be done lol he wanted to know what it felt like though cuz it seemed important.

Thank you for giving this context
I have fibroids that cause me so much pain
I think we often gaslight ourselves into thinking we’re overreacting or don’t handle pain well
It took 40 years for me to get diagnosed with PCOS and yes the pain is awful!!
Should kick them in the balls every month
„Ok so are you getting kicked in the balls once a month then? No? Should we change that?“
You should have punched him and said, "It's just an eye cramp, get over it" 🙂
I would have asked him when his first period was 😂 also maybe threatened to kick him in the balls so we could be equal and let’s see who whines more.

Same I had to miss school and sometimes will pass out under my bed
My sisters would have almost seizures. It was bad.
Used to slide down the stairs to make it to my moms room in the middle of the night because I couldn’t walk or speak and she always knew what to do. Yep! 23 for me. Never regretted it for an instant. It was the difference between debilitating misery and having a full, productive life.

I love his involuntary lamaz breathing
On my period I can range from 7-10; and I just force myself to act normal, forcing myself to go to work, do household shores, ect, or else otherwise I’m seen as “whiny” or “lazy”. But seeing them immediately understand and go “I’d call off work”, and say “I can’t believe you have to go through that.”, warmed by heart. I hope all everyone can experience this, so they can treat their partners/friends/coworkers/family with just a little more love, kindness and understanding in the future.
I feel bad for laughing so hard... a little. Thanks for doing this for us guys! Now you can understand our pain and wonder how we do this every month.

I had a friend that the first day of her period she wld also vomit EVERY MONTH and this started in middle school…..it’s real!!
Oh my thighs, felt like I ran a marathon.
As a man, I definitely plan to do this at some point in my life. Maybe as a bonding exercise with my future gf/wife to better understand the pain she goes through every month
Now triple the pain while in labor 😆
@@inaneill8369 I may be a strong man, but I don't think I'm that strong lol
Lol
It's nice you try to understand. The pain is really bad and it's hard to do anything. I did appreciate Advil!
Good man
This is very comforting to watch while on my period 😂
Me now lmaoooooo
Ditto
Same
😂😂😂
Yes!!!!
I am odd woman out because I never suffer from cramps. Ever.
@@selfimprovement.1925 thank your lucky stars. I don’t wish my level 10s on people who have caused me immense trauma.
I just had an epiphany. Is this nature’s way of preparing us to endure childbirth? 🤔
i read something a while back that said women are better at dealing with prolonged pain, like cramps, illness, ect... and men better at dealing with pain in the moment, like harsh injuries. which explain why men tend to not handle being sick well, and women will show their man their bruises and scrapes all week until they're healed lol.
AND we have to get up and go to work or school. And we don’t talk about it. We just deal.
@@NikkiDoesStufff too real damn
I feel the pain
Yeah shoutout to all the lady’s that have to go through this
It's not even that we don't feel it, we are still in pain, we just eventually don't react to it as much.
I felt like a hot mess, and finally understood what my sister was going through all those years 😅
We have been programmed to think that cramping during periods are normal, but it is actually abnormal to cramp during menstruation.
Absolutely
Ah, the memories!...all those years of agony in my monthly torture chamber. Unable to straighten my back for a week because it felt like I had an anvil strapped to it, my abdominal muscles knitted so tight I would vomit and then dry-heave repeatedly, the nausea and tension, the vice-grip thigh cramps, the hammer pounding headaches, the groaning in pain that awakened my family and made them all unhappy...now thank GOD! I'm in my 50's and FREE AT LAST!!!!!!!!!!!!
That pain ain’t no joke
🎉 Good job guys..always remember that pain, as it will remind you to always have empathy for the women in your life ❤️🩹
Thankfully the pain eases slightly around day 3 but those first two days are brutal I always feel like I’m dying
And we can’t turn off a machine either 🥹😅
@@ozdaniels2051 very true haha
Going through it right now. I just wanna sleep it off, but the PAAAIN 🥴🥴
Mine lasted 7 days
If we give three weeks paid leave because of the few women per worksite that have these cases, it'll get to the point where any sensible profit conscious employee would ask himself, "Why bother hiring women?"
Let's not milk it, just like she rightly said.
For real, they’re so cool for doing this! And thanks for the tip, I’ll be trying that next month!
I always drink beet root juice …. It literally tastes like dirt smells but it works wonders
It sounds inconsequential but I love that they were sweating through it. Like they're dancing of course, but watching them grimace and sweat I was like EXACTLY. You do that little half bend over and breathe and your head has a cold sweat. This was accurate alright 🤣
Also vomiting with periods too ……so much joy.
I'm sure these men have a new appreciation for the women in their lives. Especially their moms.😂😂😂
mannn they got to start at 1. my period pain immediately starts at 10. theres no inbetween😂😂
yall always make my day ! thank you for uploading❤
I am so sorry you had to go through that
I still remember the time I was working at a fast food joint and the a/c was broken.
The satisfaction that I got from watching this is ungodly 😂🤣
Right? Why does this happen?
Half the planet don't experience this pain. Those of us that do can't blame them for not understanding. But things like this that let them experience it is wonderful. I shared this with my husband and he apologized to me for whenever he made light of period pain. That was worth a lot to me.
Man, those hip cramps do go CRAZY! 😂
Like laying an egg almost literally
Love that they had them dance during their simulation. Imagine having to actually function effectively during the day of your worst cramps.
😆😁😂🤣😄☺️
Empathy is a good thing. We know this pain isn't permanent for them and it serves a purpose. So in my mind it's ok to watch the lightbulbs come on and enjoy the enlightenment
That's because they weren't 'shunned' to let their feelings flow. They got to do the real. Of course, we know, after an hour of this...they'd be crying "Elizabeth....I'm coming to join you.".
The two looked like they were ready to ask for an epidural.
@@WenD1908 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I feel like every guy should experience this before they get a girlfriend 🤣
all guys should! We are dealing with men at our workplaces as well
@@claudiavalentijn1457 Yes! That's a good point.
Definitely if they have a daughter.
@@WenD1908 Also good point. I had a step dad who was Nigerian when I first started. My mom wasn't home and he was so terrified. He started praying and speaking in tongues over my stomach until my mom got home. 🤣 Men should definitely be more educated in it.
@@krochetwithkrissy Wow! You were in pain and he was speaking in tongues…I may have to have my son go through this. For the sake of empathy.
I have endometriosis. Wish I could turn mine off or yell "I can't go higher" and it just, stops lol.
My story exactly. I have just one week to myself
Not all doctors will perform a hysterectomy on women under 40.
I was told no when I sought relief by getting a hysterectomy.
