What great about Shinee is that they're most likely the pioneer of doing hard choreography and this was the first hard choreography that people had ever seen from an idol GROUP. Before them, most idols' choreo was pretty simple and they focused solely on their vocal. With Shinee being able to do complicated dances and sing well, the bar just went higher and higher
True, or alot of times they would have dance breaks, it wasn't the whole song, it was mainly towards the end of the song and no singing. But as u said Shinee did both at the same time and were REALLY good at it and at such a young age. As iu said, rookie groups didn't start off that good live but shinee was(during replay/debut)
Very true! They have ben such a joy to watch and I do remember the gen 2 era (YG's side specifically) NOT catering to dance NEARLY as much! So happy to have this!
The thing with SHINee’s dance practice videos, they are actual dance practices “taped” on video, not the full blown perfected dance practice production vids we get today.. this version isnt even the final version yet.. and I really like watching how raw it is. Also hoping SHINee officially release dance practice vids again.. it became a thing coz of them but they stopped releasing afterwards.. my villain story.. 😢
Very true! They are the trend setters for the Dance Practice format, but they showcase some pretty stout consistency within their live performances which is such a great skillset to possess!
It's so interesting here you talk about the changes between what Shinee is doing and what Rina and Jaewon were doing and why, as well as the different styles involved. Tutting is so fun to watch, I wish we saw more of it in K-pop choreographies these days. I'm learning a lot of dance history through these videos which is super cool.
thank you for stressing out the impact this choreo had on other groups! I've been there in 2010 and I was OBSESSED with it so much. I got into kpop because of my love for dancing and while there were predecessors who were already good dancers and had great choreos (I'd rank TVXQ close to SHINee of that time), SHINee were on a whole another level. Not to mention they actually started the dance practice trend, so we have that to thank them for too 😊
Key's insane half shaved topknot, the portal to hell on taemin's shirt, jjong's hedgehog ass haircut + those fuckin arms man Truly a dance practice for the ages
1 oh the things I love about Taemins dance practices is that they still post the recording even if Taemin makes a mistake. As it’s a dance practice not a performance.
It’s amazing watching SHINee’s practice vids and their official concert performances back to back… the aura and atmosphere just blows up to gazillion..
at about 20:48 taemin actually doesn't do the full move because this really was a practice video where they were still working on it and not the performance level videos we get now. i definitely suggest watching a live performance if you want to see them go all out! i think that move in particular is also showcased really well in the mv
I once saw someone comparing choreographies and performances to check how well they were synchronized with each other, they got a result of probably 96%, which in my opinion is interesting but at the same time very understandable, they spent so much time practicing that it was easy for them to achieve it
The channel was deleted, unfortunately, I don't know why because it was really cool, but there is another one where the 10 best groups were selected and subjected to computer analysis and it is SHINee. There is also Taemin's analysis@@jess_holyfield
Rino basically did majority of SM's 2nd gen iconic choreographies! SHINee are her babies. Replay was first ever choreographer gig for K-pop and SM let her handle SHINee for years after that. Recently, she handles directing concerts for SM artists' tours.
@@cmq23 Ah ok. Now it makes so much sense why they chose her specfically as one of the dance coaches for Produce 101 Japan. I absolutely love Shinee's dances, so I guess I was already a fan of her work and just didn't know who she was.

Tutting is SUCH a vibe because of the beauty of the angles presented and what all you can share story wise within them!!
There's some tutting in NiziU song Heartris. It was fun to watch.

True true!!! Love the impact they made!!!
Key recently said that this dance practice was actually "leaked". He said that he wouldn't look like that if they would really post it that time. 😂
THAT'S WHAT I ALSO HEARD! He was like "do you REALLY think I would wear something like that if we were going to post it?!" Had me ROLLING
Its either Jonghyun arms or Taemins shirt that distracts us 😂😂😂
AND Keys little half pony tail
I know right haha!

This I agree with! Love that we get to see the beauty of them being human here!!!

I ended up doing this with Taemin's Danger and I would have to agree with you!!

Ohhhhh THAT'S Rino???? I've seen her on the last two seasons or Produce 101 Japan. She's awesome!
She is freaking GREAT!!!!

Please react to the dance of "Why so serious?" By SHINee.
Lucky for you I already have! Not only that one but EVERTY SHINEE choreography from debut to now! If it's not on RUclips it's on Patreon!
