Are people walking around their home and outside with those headsets on like if they were some sort of novel cyberpunk followers LOL I get the novelty but if the world we are expecting to see soon is to place a horrible camera in front of our eyes, just to get augmented reality, I would say this is the worst failure of humanity
This is a stepping stone, they're already companies with glasses that can do something similar to this, just lacking the computing power and tracking. And those layer virtual on top of real, so it's not all that different than just using your eyes. Although at the moment I don't think you are totally wrong, in that the experience of looking through the camera feed is not as good as your own eyes, you also can't manifest a web browser in front of you while you're cooking completely hands free with anything else. Most people are not walking around their entire day with something like this on, but it is a full-fledged computer and a lot of ways so I don't really see what's weirder about putting this on while you're in a coffee shop versus having a laptop and pulling that out in your headphones and everything else
@@bc_labs I may see the convenience in a pair of glasses that overlay data; but walking with sky goggles around the house or outside seems to be silly, sorry to say that. And not as silly as people carrying a 20 pounds luggable computer in the 80s, or those huge portable phones we used to have in our cars... Augmenting reality on a day by day level is not really something that has that level of advancement in my opinion, and the only ones that believe that having floating monitors in front of your face is good, are the ones that do not see the big picture, beside what is cool to have. If you are in a coffee shop waving your hands around like a madman, because "that is your work environment"; what is the point of even being there with something on your face? I just don't get the appeal, as if it is not augmenting my experience, but dumb it down to be honest. And this is before even thinking about the fact that having a phone stuck on your face for longer, is something that device makers and software companies are dreaming to do for decades... Not because they want your life to be better LOL, but because that is more profit coming from detach people from reality (it is not augmented reality, it is a layer between you and reality, which is different)
Meta drinks Apple's milkshake 💪
Love it dude
