BN@10: Ian Cameron - Crime’s taproot: SAPS tops jobs are now ANC cadre retirement gigs

- During the interview session of his keynote, crime activist Ian Cameron ripped away the plaster concealing the root of SA’s law and order problem - leadership of the SA Police Services has been stuffed with untrained and ANC party loyalists with often very dodgy ethics. The unintended consequences of this odious form of cadre deployment has been to shield Big Crime via payola-driven interventions from politically-appointed Generals or simply rank incompetence. Even in Hermanus, where the day before the conference Cameron witnessed 20 abalone smugglers operating untroubled and in broad daylight. - Alec Hogg

My comment ? Where did it go ? Cele ha ha clown.
Ian mentions the prevalence of "our people" peeing next to the road wherever they feel inclined to relieve themselves [and by the way - this is a habit driven by cultural beliefs that it is dangerous or unhealthy to "keep it in" until you get to appropriate ablution facilities when there is ample places in "their country of heritage" to do so]. Anyway - I was once pulled over by a Traffic officer for having my arm hanging out the window on a particularly hot summer day. I was driving 80km and hour in a 100km zone while he came racing up behind me in a brand new Golf7 Gti [at about 160km/h] - lights flashing and siren blaring. When I saw the vehicle closing in on me at high speed I pulled over to let him pass - after all, I didn't suspect to be the object of his "high speed chase" as I was driving 20km under the speed limit. To my surprise, the office pulled in behind me, gesticulating wildly to pull over - which I did. I got out of my car at the same time he did and I asked him what was wrong. He didn't even greet me but simply demanded "Your Driver's License!" While getting it out, I asked him again what the matter was and once again he simply said "Drivers License!". Anyway - cut a long story short, he gave me a R600 fine for the minor infraction of having my arm hanging out the window [an infraction that was posing no danger to any other road user] and while I was getting into my car to drive away, he nonchalantly took out his penis and relieved himself next to the road - in full view of other motorists. I have absolutely NO RESPECT WHATSOEVER for ANY SAPS member or ANY Traffic Official as a result. I coat them ALL with the same tar brush. I view them ALL as people with below average IQ and EQ mentality as well as ego driven and power hungry.
Policy and law different

I dont trust Ian anymore. I know it doesn't matter but the fact remains. He has a lot of points that are correct but his attitude is suspect
Can you elaborate on your statement?
Yes...what point you trying to make?
Whilst you are on the topic of attitude ( that is on Ian Cameron's perceived attitude ), it isn't nearly as bad as Min. Cele's attitude displayed - for example - at a public meeting on crime - and I refer to his " shut up shut up SHUT .... UP ! outrage. I cannot recall mr Cele refuting Ian Cameron on any crime related matters . Mr. Cele instead brought up emotional "garden boy" stuff from his past etc. and missed a golden opportunity of addressing crime which was on the agenda !
