It is not the hybrid system that killed it, there is basically a flag in the ecu program that controls it, it got turned off by bmw and if you can crack the ecu you can turn it on. I actually prefer less pops and cracks. Predictably pops get old really soon, for me.
@@faridb40 Sorry I don’t know if the ecu has been cracked or not. I ordered 2022 m340 with port installed sport exhaust and it has pops and cracks on delivery. When I test drove the non sport exhaust model it did not have pop and cracks. It is an axle back exhaust so should not affect this behavior, they must slipped some bit in ECU if you choose the sport exhaust.

Get A MPE and you don’t have to worry with about messing up the warranty since it’s an option BMW offers. If you lease I would recommend it.
