- After a year of planning, Ninebyte and I teamed up with some modders to bring an idea to life;
An RPG experience in a fully built world, with Towns, Locations, Points of Interest, combined with Quests, Loot and NPCs to create a unique Valheim adventure!

with this kind of investment and passion, you could create your own Valheim-like game guys, the amount of talent here is incredible.. maybe a Valheim with not only Vikings and their lore, but other ethnicities, biomes and landscapes hiding their long forgotten stories and secrets? :)

Never played Valheim but i can say for a fact that this video is a Masterpiece! The sheer power and passion of modding communities is something else!
THIS is what Valheim should have been. Maybe not to this level, but better usage of the building sytem for more interesting POIs and a more RPG-like experience with more story elements. But this is truly brilliant! I will definitely be trying this out in the near future.
I would have to disagree.
Valheim is about building creative yourself, not finding exotic pre built locations and move in.
@Boris82 It could've remained a sandbox game while having pre-built locations. A lot of people couldn't care less about building, but still like all the other aspects of sandboxes, so you could appease both parties with this approach.
@@Legendary_HoneyYeah, that's more what I meant. I love Valheim as is, and I do like building, but the world is massive and would have just been nice if they'd used their robust building system to create some more interesting pre-built locations to find and search to fill up some of the huge map. And they definitely could have made the boss locations a lot more involved.

If pre built locations are better looking then anyone can craft themselves in the game, it may take away the motivation to build and craft yourself.

I have never played Valheim. Nor do I own the game. Just these videos are already insane. I have seen all kinds of people build structures in Valheim. A short video like this just blows me away. There is one sad reality. That I just crossed the boundary of understanding what an undertaking it is you did here. How much work it is. How much time and effort you have put in this. I know that probably has to do with the current attention span. But you deserve credit. Amazing show on display!

The shifting of particular 'nodes' on their individual axis to make them look dilapidated was fucking genius mate.

Everyone in this project have my absolute respect and I'm amazed by their dedications. I've been playing Valheim since its releash while my friends stopped after a month. Over the years, I brought other friends to play with but the game can be a pain. I bet this version will convince them to give Valheim another try!

At this point, some of the top modders accross different games should come together and make their own. You guys pour so much tjme and effort into making other games better I could only imagine what you'd create if it was built from the ground up. Iron Gate Studio should give you all early access to the Ashlands so you can incorporate it. They also should just hire you lot to make this an official game mode for Valheim.
a 'Story Mode' could be fun! I've heard a few whisperings of what is coming in Ashlands so we already have some ideas brewing and I'll probably jump onto the test branch when it releases to get a little head start on some builds :)

This mod seems sick and I will definitely check it out and try to make the VHVR mod work with it. Will still play it even if it doesn't work with that mod for whatever reason.

This feels like an epic punch in the inspiration for every builder I know - thank you for pushing yourselves to get there and explaining how it felt. I know how easy it can be to get discouraged - I feel that half way point on my own builds but seeing what can be created with collaborators who are willing to take risks and rethink things time and again? Daymn. That's some life lesson, galaxy brain, quality. Seeing so many of these techniques I know (and ones I don't) being bought to life with such depth and scope is *chefs kiss*. Really looking forward to seeing how this progresses! Skål

I like sailing so much, I wish there was a mod or update with like balistas on ships and naval battles + more sea monsters
I foresee huge issues with server capacity if I look at the popularity this is gaining. We’ll probably have to wait in a queue for a long period of time before we can get into the server.
