    SOUTH AFRICAN SAMP RECIPE: How To Cook Creamy & Cheesy Samp | Creamy Samp / Creamed Corn/Samp Recipe
    I'm making South African CREAMY SAMP. I will be showing you how to make it creamy and cheesy. This Samp recipe is very easy to follow.
    Ingredients and method below:
    Creamy & Cheesy Samp Ingredients:
    500ML / 2 CUPS OF SAMP
    WATER
    1 TBSP SALT
    BLACK PEPPER
    1 TBSP AROMAT
    2 TBSP BUTTER
    3/4HEAVY CREAM
    PARMESAN CHEESE
    1/2 CUP OF CHEDDAR CHEESE
    Cooking instructions
    Cook for 2 hours
    Method:
    1. Soak samp in cold water overnight
    2. Add boiled water into a pot, add 1 tbsp of salt and 2 cups of soaked samp
    3. Cover with a lid and cook on low heat
    4. After 15 minutes or so, add butter to prevent your samp from burning and cover with a lid
    5. Keep adding water every 30 minutes
    6. After 90 minutes / 1h30 minutes, add aromat or any savoury seasoning, heavy or any other cream, 1 tbsp butter, 1 tbsp of parmesan cheese, grated cheddar cheese, Season with salt and pepper then cover with a lid and cook for further 30 minutes
    Serve with any stew of your choice, I served mine with oxtail stew, cream spinach, and chakalaka.
