It's amazing how many people have been searching high and low for years to find clips of this show - especially for the theme music. Until tonight, I hadn't heard this music for almost 30 years, but still remembered it perfectly. My childhood came rushing back as I finally got to hear it again. God bless you, RUclips.
Awesome! This is finally on RUclips! Thank you! I've been telling people about this show for years -- I used to watch it in the late 1970s as a little kid in Edmonton, Alberta. I still get goosebumps at the end of the theme song.
That theme song just brought me right back to my childhood. I've never forgotten it, but I couldn't tell you what I had for dinner two days ago. Crazy how memory works, isn't it?
WOW! I can't believe I remembered the name of the show in order to even find it! Eternally grateful for you putting this up for so many to enjoy. The feeling I get from watching this is absolutely amazing, I'm literally tingling from the theme song, to the hosts voice, to the sound effects! Thank YOU!
I saw that that Joseph Campanello or whatever his name is died today. 93 - not bad. I thought....wasn't he in that science show I watched as a kid? And I never forgot the name Tiiu Leek. Hmmm....but I can't recall what I did at work yesterday. This show's budget must have been, oh, hundreds of dollars.
About once a month I have done a RUclips search for a significant clip of this show (especially the wonderful theme music.) I knew it would turn up eventually. Thank you.
Please upload all seasons of Science International series... Very interesting contents & narration by the trio of Joseph Campanella, Tiiu Leek & Kerrie Keane.
Same here. Haven't heard this music in almost 30 years, but I remember like it was yesterday. The uploaded episodes and theme music must have been from earlier seasons than ones I watched, because I remember a video snippet during the musical intro of one of the weirdest creatures I have ever seen. It was a white and red slow moving mollusk-like creature that used to totally gross me out every time this show started. This theme music is permanently connected in my mind to that creepy footage.
Seeing that segment from 6:03-7:39, now I understand the innovation of that Belgium mattress that launched Temper-Pedic and other similar mattresses on the market today. I saw What Will They Think Of Next / Science International two times 47 years ago on a TVO affiliate, Channel 32 in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada which somehow I picked up in Detroit, Michigan ( I was 10 at the time ), the Team of Joseph Campanella, Canadian Co-host Tiiu Leek and American Co-host Kerrie Keane were fantastic in making science understandable and easy....well in this case, acknowledgeable. Guess a 52 y/o can learn a few new things from time to time, the Power of " Never Stop Learning" at its finest...what will they REALLY think of next moving forwards?☺️.
I loved this show! I was very poor as a kid, I would save my money and buy a bag of corn chips and sit and watch this on Saturday afternoons in the basement munching away, I thought these "smart" (British?) people were so interesting! (I'm Canadian).
Loved this show as a very young boy. Learned alot of shit. The theme song gets to me. Very nostalgic. Sunday nights watching sleepily with my Pops on the couch.
So much of a thank you for putting this up. For the longest time it seemed that I was the only one who saw this. And finding any reference to it as early as 7 years ago got you nothing. This is AWESOME :))
Wouldn't it be nice if there was a chanel were a person could discover science shows like this instead of crappy reality shows about ice road truckers or crab fishermen? I wonder what we could call this chanel where one could discover these things. Definitely not the Discovery Chanel. That's for sure.
BoingotheClown You mean a channel with nothing but shows about science? Holy shit, why hasn't somebody invented the Science Channel yet? Oh wait. They did. DERP. The real issue with Discovery is how they script all their "reality" TV. Other than that, the channel does a fine job of allowing you to "discover" how other people live their lives and do their jobs. You sound like a prissy city-dweller when you bitch about fishermen and truckers.
Thank you for putting this up I absolutely love the show, I remember being like nine years old watching this and now I see some of the inventions that exist today for example the airbags in cars
I was broad-sided by the random memory of this theme song the other day... and located solely from its association with Joseph Campanella; an actor’s name I knew and remembered from this one, short-lived television series. Since I would have been 6 or 7 years old, consider this a heads-up to today’s youth: I'm so sorry for the dreck that will assault your 40+ year old minds based upon the current trends in pop culture (grin).
Saw this show a lot as a kid. Perhaps most of the innovations suggested in this program where pipe dream speculation; but I remember this show had stories about cheaper ways of desalinating water using the process of evaporation. If there are countries with serious fresh water shortages that are on a coastline; a cheap way of desalinating water would be helpful. Also mosquitos are a source of serious diseases in some areas; apparently there is a chemical compound which dissolves the surface tension of water which without mosquito larvae would drown. Might be an effective way of combating disease. But before any technology is ever implemented; specialists should study such technologies for any potential risk.
Honestly I wish Nickelodeon saved this show (and against the odds) for cable in the classroom. I was born in 82 and missed all of the Nickelodeon Silver Ball/Green Vegetable era.
Recently came across an old Sean Connery movie called Meteor. Joseph Campanella was in it. It was driving me bonkers trying to figure out where I knew him from. All I could picture in my memory was his face in a circle and here I am. Checking this out now I remember having a crush on the woman co-host.
I didn't even blink once during that whole intro ...this took me right back to childhood this is why i love You Tube it's like a Time Machine and like a Time Machine it brought me back to a time and place
wow. Its been a very long time....as soon as I found the name of the host, then I finally found this tv show...too bad this series wasn't released on dvd or aired on cable....I member when they said about when your hands and toes are in the water long enough that they wrinkle...lol
CrazyWedz Try looking under the title “What Will They Think of Next?” You should be able to find he is listed as a cast member or co-host and he is listed under the Self section. The original title of the series was called “Science International” and was made in Canada.

Watched this show way back in the late 70's early 80's while I was a kid in Trinidad and Tobago.
Add me to the many who have heard this song echoing in their heads for three decades and am thrilled to see these two clips. A million thanks.
That theme song just brought me right back to my childhood. I've never forgotten it, but I couldn't tell you what I had for dinner two days ago. Crazy how memory works, isn't it?
This brings back a lot of memories!! I used to watch this off Nickelodeon from 1983 to 1984.
WOW! I can't believe I remembered the name of the show in order to even find it!
Eternally grateful for you putting this up for so many to enjoy. The feeling I get from watching this is absolutely amazing, I'm literally tingling from the theme song, to the hosts voice, to the sound effects! Thank YOU!

This is truly a magical theme/score. It gives me shivers and takes me back to my childhood.
About once a month I have done a RUclips search for a significant clip of this show (especially the wonderful theme music.) I knew it would turn up eventually. Thank you.
Absolutely AMAZING! Brought me to tears when I heard it!
This is the last theme song I have sought out for over a decade!
THANK YOU...sooo much
I love how the digital timer in between commercial breaks looked high-tech at the time.
Rest In Peace, Mr. Campanella. I’ll always remember him doing this show.
I don't doubt it. Before watching this show, Joseph Campanella was totally unknown to me. And I only got to watch a few episodes of this show.
This show brings back memories. The Casio Keyboard music and the cheesy graphics. Yet still enjoyable.
RIP Joseph Campanella. You made learning science fun.
Please upload all seasons of Science International series... Very interesting contents & narration by the trio of Joseph Campanella, Tiiu Leek & Kerrie Keane.
omg my past just came flooding back to me from watching this, what a great show

I watched this in the early early years of Nickelodeon. It was cool to see a video of it. Very unique music I recall

Hopefully more episodes of Science International will be uploaded ASAP.

Loved this show. Watched each episode a dozen times.
my god, it took decades of the internet for me to finally find a clip of this!
Wow! Imagine how cool things are going to be by 1999!
I used to love watching this show back in the 70's.
i always watched this when I was a kid...loved it, thank you for uploading it
As a kid, I always felt that the opening theme made science seem really depressing.
Thank you for putting this up I absolutely love the show, I remember being like nine years old watching this and now I see some of the inventions that exist today for example the airbags in cars

This was like Popular science on tv.
Enjoyable! I watched it when I was small.
