I work for a company that pulls wells and owns a bunch of those well pulling rigs. Those rigs cost several thousand dollars a day to run with a crew and supervisor. Replacing pipe in the hole is extremely expensive. All the policies, laws, and ect are expensive and lot's of work. That lease is not at the top of the list of being maintained well. Be careful sir...
I remember in around 1974 these guys were selling a lease and took a vacuum truck and filled the casing up then started the well oh man did it pump oil, haha
If you need it, any machining cnc or manual machining me and my buddy got a machine shop off of Rosedale and Gibson. Anything you needed we can take care of you brother
All I know about oil industry is everything associated with its exploration, development and production is astronomically expensive and bureaucratically burdensome. Unless one has deep pockets, one environmental fine could force bankruptcy. I wouldn’t touch this lease during this anti-fossil fuel environment. Especially in Commiefornia. I didn’t watch the entire video, only the tour of the oil wells. Why is this guy so eager to sell? It were truly a lucrative revenue generator, I am inclined to believe he’d keep it.
Well Puller - aka Bullshit Rig. I know this lease. I know this well. In 2017, these wells were slated for Down Hole Heaters (DHHs) . That didn't play out as I exited the biz. They did install a heater in one of these wells but then discovered a casing leak. I'm confident that this lease could perform very well with DHHs and some investment. A business case would need to be constructed for the cash flow/ROI.
Myself and my father did a lot of welding back there that used to be Seneca. When your at that main office for sentinel peak down at the bottom is a giant header system we my father and I did. I miss being out there!
The first well y’all looked at that pumping unit is getting about half the stroke it should with the polish rod hanger hooked up totally wrong. Also the guy told you 50 barrels a day when things are in order but if those 2 wells produced a barrel in 20 minutes that would be 72 barrels in a day each well. 144 barrels between 2 wells. Most the time you see oil leases for sell they will be depleted wells with plugging obligations, but it’s clear these wells weren’t well managed just by the little we saw here. As someone who’s worked in the oil field for 10 years I’d be running. But If the price is right maybe there is some meat left on the bones. I’m going to sub to keep up with the journey! Good luck!!
it really depends where the fluid level was and how long it was pumping. If, the well is shut down the static fluid will rise and appear to be making significant oil production until the well pumps off. You really need to do a complete study on each well.
I’d agree. The production shown in the video doesn’t tell the buyer much at all. And you’re right for all we known the units have been shut in for a long time and built a large head. The numbers and the paper work will tell you more than that you saw in this video. I’m no down hole guy. But the surface equipment is much less than optimal to say the least
@@sirup2664 Yes, you're correct. It is less than optimal. Although, it's nothing that cannot be corrected. The other issue that was not shown is how does the injection well take water? Without proper disposal the lease is worthless. Just giving you some thoughts.
I landed a wellhead on one over on the coast that produced 400 barrels a day for a short time until an engineer got involved and walked away after changing the depth and it went almost dry just a few barrels a day and couldn’t get it back
All I see is huge environmental cleanup cost liability - that guy should pay you to buy it. One leaky well and you're screwed. That idiot should be reported for that oil leak.
Oh you're one of those rich people who just have money for everything and you also have land with oil yada yada blah blah blah life must be going good for you
I been looking at one on blm lease guys wants like 50 grand for to oil wells only producing 1 barrel each idk seems like good but they require alot when they fkkkk up it sit one 120 acres more be this one idk
I have work in the oil trade since 1979 was able to own my rigs if i wanted its true lot of state and federal laws to catch up on if you owned your own well pulling unit hire you own crew i used to be a rig supervisor plenty of capital for maintenance it could be done if all the wells pumping it might be different so if you need advice no charge follow my email address

Worked for pxp back in the day, they used to say we were pumping water and just skimming the oil off the top
It is very interesting see how those old Oil pumps operates, I live around Bakersfield and there are a lot of them around.
