    i did abyssals as a new player they helped me learn the basics of combat and the game in general, not a fan of this change , t0 and t1 should be available in 1.0, only brand spanking new players run these abyssals no abyssal runners run them; i think t2 and 3 or at least 2 should be available in .9. You have to remember low level abyssals are not very profitable and it could take a fuckload to replace a ship, if this was some uber profitable activity sure but the 1-3 ones are not ; tier 5 and 6 runners ships cost billions and like 6 months of training just to do a relatively safe activity , making them do it in .5 basically kills this content for solo casuals

    I've only been playing as an alpha for a couple 3 or 4 months. I'm not super smooth but have found I can run routes and set up safe points and instant dock & warp points and get to low sec. One time I got blown apart was by someone who used missiles. I think his missile cost more than my whole fit and empty Venture. I like the changes it might convince me to consider paying.

I'm also considering subing my combat alpha and maybe dual box some T3 with frigates. There is an alt on that account I'd skill up a bit for FW. I'm enthousiastic with what's coming now Very happy with the ganking changes and I'm fine with the abyssal changes. It felft wrong to see some gankers refitting for their next kill inside a Caldari Navy station. As if the authorities, instead of locking the bad guys behind bars, where giving them shelter and provide them with all the services they need to plot and launch their next crime. IGN: Suki Vokkonen

    Not sure what to think of these changes. Ensuring that alpha accounts cannot greatly impact other player's experience seems fair. Not being able to blow up billions without interesting up to a certain degree into the game, can't be too much to ask for. Though I do wonder how much this will impact the actual gameplay. Possibly the Burn Jita events will be affected greatly.
    Ensuring a connection to Abyssal Trace and risk is great. Balancing risk going suspect or longer time for CONCORD protection when choosing a system to run Abyssals.
    All in all, change is good. Even if the outcome may not be the best, having any kind of change is better than no change at all.

    13:15 That's CCP covering their ass, and that statement is more political than actual belief in the type of game play. They condone it, that does not mean they agree with it. When you ask them, they pause, as if to choose their words very, very carefully. And if you watch the streams, when you listen, when you watch them at EvE world meet locations, will pause. They will look up, to the side, back at the table of their fellow team members, or some cases, they will stare at the floor. Then after that pause they will look out across the crowd and carefully navigate the political or narrow bridge of words, not to piss off one side or the other.

    Gank is the best thing on EVE, CCP doesnt need to do anything to stop this activitie, its up to the players.... Most of those who are ganked were flying in Auto Pilot, or never cloak to avoid gankers.... Everything else is baby's crie

    • @eventon9372

      The main issue with ganking is that there is literally no risk on the gankers part. Most of them are already -10.0, they fly ships that only cost 2-10m isk, and the risk vs reward is incredibly in their favor. Sure it takes a long time to scout & find the right ships but the low isk investment and easy targets honestly makes ganking probably the most carebear style in the game imo.
      I agree, ganking is important and is the natural checks n balances of HS. Problem is every other gameplay style in EVE asses isk/time/sec status, where gankers are only concerned with time since isk & sec status is a non-issue. This wont stop gankers, and I hope it doesnt, it will just change their gameplay a bit.

The cost for a T2 Hauler is like 200M, and you still have the drop hate, that always give a bad surprise to gankers....

    Like the ideas, but the achilles heel for Eve with my friends is by the time they catch up to my level in Battleships, Ill be flying much bigger stuff. They can never catch up. I'm only about 45M skill points, and Ill never catch others. For me it isnt a problem, there is plenty to do for me, but people just coming into the game getting ganked in their first frigate in 1.0 (happened to me 3 or 4 times) and the lack of them getting to my skill level keeps them away.
    Also want to make me play more? NO MCT! Every character on my Omega account has the same 45M+ skill points. I can make one a truck driver, one a miner, one a fighter pilot. Then if you start a second Omega account, that character immediately gets half you Primary accounts skill points. If I could get my Alt 22M skill points by making him Omega, I would in a second

    • @eventon9372
      @eventon9372  Год назад +2

      depends on what you mean by 'catch up'... if your goal is to just fly capitals then you & your friends will struggle with over a year(s) worth of skilling ahead of them. I think people forget that 90% of the ships in the game are sub-cap, and 90% of the activities in EVE are done with those ships.
      Our corp has people with 10m SP that still contribute to fights or still do mid-tier pve content in Wormholes. I have 85m SP and I still fly frigates, destroyers and cruisers daily. BCs & BS are too slow and have limited options in my opinion, and caps from what I heard are boring & you rarely undock them.
      The NO MCT idea is interesting on paper, but you can always just make another alpha and skill them slowly towards other professions. The whole game revolves around being time gated, for better or for worse. Being able to pay $15 and instantly getting tens or hundreds of millions of SP instantly just doesnt make business sense for CCP, it breaks the skill injector/extractor economy & makes multiboxing almost a necessity due to the insane value.

This was mainly due to my knowledge of game, new experiences, other players/corporations, living in different parts of space etc. As for plexing your alpha into omega in a reasonable time, it depends on the activity and the time available to the player. Alpha explorers can make tons of isk if they know where to hack and how to use dscan. You can still use pirate ships like the Gila for abyss or a blitzing BS for L3 missions as an alpha too. IMO this game went down the toilet when the company that owns BDO bought the game I started playing in 2013 and after they got ahold of it they have just made changes that help them sell stuff out the store and the price of stuff has gone threw the roof that you have to pay real money to compete and back in the day it was never like that I payed for my sub with real money for 2 years then i got enough SP to do stuff to make enough isk to pay for my sub time then after the BDO company got ahold of this game it is dam near imposable to do that game is getting changed to line there pockets and has been for years its funny cause after watching this video seems like nothing has changed and there just going to keep bleeding the players of this game tell it dies just like they do with every other game they buy
