I was trying to get big rock sounds and was chasing as much resonance as I could. I tended to like the pitch bend sound to my ears as I played the drum. It sounded a lot better in person than on the video. I ended up getting some booty shakers to put on the bottom legs and that allowed the drum to resonate a lot more. This kit was big 8 10 12 14 16 so to get it in a particular pitch to go with the kit was a challenge. Then I always started with the 10 up for the 8 and down for the rest. It sounded way better in the room than it did in the video. Only had a digital recorder also to make these. All the best take care 🔥🥁
Do you mean you cannot see the tuner? It’s in view sorry if it’s hard to see it’s a very old video I should make new ones sorry if you did not find this helpful or interesting it’s just how I tuned that drum at that time and there are no mics just a hand held digital recorder
@@mikeevangelista1177 Thanks for the response Mike. What I meant to say was I couldn’t-see the tun bot in the last half of the video. Not a big problem I was just so interested in what you were doing I wanted to see all of it. Very informative video and I like your style
You've got a ton of pitch-bend (high to low) happening there mate, is that the sound you are going for?
Seriously. Why even bother tuning it if thats the case. I dont get it.
