Tell Lyle he is the man for convincing you to get this out. The neverlost system has opened the guitar neck for me.

This lesson has been the most significant for me. It put's the pentatonic scale shapes into perspective. The recent passing of Ed King made me think of this lesson again.

I think what makes this a good example for studying pentatonic improvisation over a chord progression is precisely what you mentioned near the end of the video: almost every time the chord changes, one of the corresponding chord tones is emphasized, and there's a brief pause in the riff. This technique is a good rule-of-thumb for creating melodic solos that follow the chord changes. Also, targeting that chord tone is a good time to slide or jump up or down the NeverLost backbone, into a different pentatonic position. And the brief pause on the chord tone gives you a moment to assess where you now are, and plan what you're going to do now that you're there.

great lesson ....WHAT A GREAT BLUES SONG AND GUITARS THAT WERE SO OVERLOOKED......no one much appreciated them in the day ...STevie Ray made everyone along with clapton in the 80s but these boys were kicking major ass in the blues and were GREAT GUITARIST very under rated for how great that band was ...nice lesson thank you

I saw the Neverlost system about a week after you posted it last year. It absolutely exploded (figuratively) the neck for me. I use it as a basis for almost everything I play now. I have become an exponentially better player because of it. Thanks, Ian. And thank you, Lyle!!!

The pentatonic 'Never lost' concept and 'finding home - the root notes' opened up a new world for me within my electric guitar playing. I thank you for that. This video is worth it's weight in gold explaining the simplicity but powerful way great songs are made. Now I'm off to buy the Blues Masterclass 1. Thank you for your time Stich.

All I can say is THANK YOU for this video. It is a song/solo I have been trying to figure out for a while and could never really get a so straight forward explanation, which will definitely save me tons of time I don’t have, being busy (🙏🏻🙏🏻), being a father. Thanks a bunch and I have obviously, just subscribed to your channel. Rock on!!! Btw: Les Paul + Skynyrd = Tone heaven!🤘🏻

Another game changing lesson. The bonus moment was a hoot, and that chord progression is going straight to my looper.
