I spent almost 30 Hours in the air to get to New Zealand So I could spend less than one day on the ground but it was a great trip. The Hot Springs look incredible!
That is an incredibly long flight right there. We have been very fortunate as I think the longest single flight we have been on so far was only 8 hours. We really wish we had more time to check out more of New Zealand. Such a cool place with so many different landscapes.
@Jordan & Soph This is multiple flights from Fairbanks to Japan to Singapore to Australia to New Zealand via C130 Hercules and C 141 starlifter, I switched aircraft twice, it was not one flight. That's the way it worked back then. With an outside chance you could get stranded in which case you could be and serious trouble when you get back.
