Very, very interesting. I have a gen IV i got for a good price, and basically just stashed it away when i found out it was going to be more of a headache to deal with vs a gen III. I'll be watching how this works out for you
Please give us your honest review of the box when you get it running. I have a GEN IV engine with nothing planned for it yet. I want it to be in my own personal project. Been waiting for a video on how to rework the harness but there is NONE ON RUclips 🤬🤬🤬😂😂😂
Yoo! ..Have you ever had no throttle response (DBW ) ? my pedal suddenly stop working after installing an oil pressure gauge...rmp suddenly goes up to 16xxx rpms
@@krustyclassicsgarage preciated man...yes, i see why. 😂..I was watching your other video(dbw to dbc)..now I feel like to converting but don't want to buy another harness (dbc) 😂
These conversion boxes fail or go out of sync I've had a few cause issues while tuning on my dyno. They seem to be ok on mild street cars but anything that makes some jam should be handled differently.
@@krustyclassicsgarage he’s saying might as well unlock a gen 4 pcm but it’s still expensive with harness and I believe gen 4 is dbw only but dnt quote me on that
The other options are if you've a parts engine just swap crankshafts with the 3rd gen wheel OR buy the $300 tool and swap over the older style wheel/order a new one. The cam sensor up front VS out back is another story.
Relectur = distributor in short form mr.krusty is correct…

I’m sure it will work great they make good stuff. I’ve dealt with them going all the way back to my 97 Camaro LT1.
Good tech tip, thank you

Hey buddy whats up looks like it's getting cold over there keep 🎉💯 ls
Will it hook to my knock sensors
Key on power, or power while cranking for the conversion box?

The easy solution is to buy an engine with the engine, trans, computer and wiring harness altogether.
Getting harder when the harnesses are 15+yrs old and brittle.

@MOE13576 No because I never use DBW. Nothing but hassles. 9/10 it's a bad throttle body.

OOF. $300 for that gizmo? Might as well pay for the HP Tuner credits.

@Jae_in_the_88 there is no turning a 58x ecu to read 24x. Yes, all gen 4 come dbw.
