A unique experience is Moʻorea Dark Waters run by Joaquin. It's night snorkeling at the Te'mae/Sofitel lagoon area. He can run it at any time, but he usually aims for New Moons or Full Moons. Such a COOL experience. Highly recommend! Tell him Karyle/Hawaiʻi sent you if you book the tour...it won't get you a discount or anything 😅 but we're friends & it truly was one of the highlights from my last trip to MOZ. He provides you with thicker wetsuits to stay warm & dive lights. He can provide masks/fins, but it is recommended to bring your own OR get a set from your resort. He also brings light refreshments/snacks (hot tea after a night dive is wonderful!). If you time it right, there's faint bioluminescence in the lagoon, I didnt even know that happened in FP!
Stock up on AMEX points! We booked using them and also got the benefits of using our AMEX Platinum :) Also book as far as possible in advanced to make sure you're getting the best reward redepemptions
The Sofitel is a particularly good option for early birds, or your first destination (from America) before the jet lag wears off. This is because the you have an excellent sunrise view, but the mountains behind the resort block the sun a solid hour or more before the true sunset. This is perfect if you start your days early, but it could be a bummer if you roll out of bed late!
Afareaitu Falls isn't "private", no need to hire a tour/guide. You will park on "private property" next to local homesteads, it's technically FREE, but sometimes a local will be there & charge 200xpf ($2) to park there. A car is recommended bc it's alllll the way up a long [unpaved] road, but many ppl park somewhere near the school & then walk up, just adding additional RT mileage to the hike (& you won't have to pay the "parking fee"). The Avis/Budget car rentals are almost always sold out. Most people will book at TAHITI & then ferry over w/the car. This isnt ideal, if you're Air-Pass isle-hopping tho, so usually ppl rent Scooters from their hotels. Manual cars are also way cheaper to rent, so stick-shift is a great skillset to have!
I saw your Bora Bora video, it is nice..but I wonder if we had go to Moorea and then later say we should have been to Bora Bora, it will be a bummer.. but Bora 2x is so pricey..opinions? Don't want to break the bank after a trip. It would be so silly to do so.
Next time, I hope you will come and discover the Moorea Suite Love 😍; located above the Sofitel in the mountain. It is the secret place of lovers and there you will have a REAL incredible infinity swimming pool at the foot of your bed, a REAL mini-bar and you will be able to share a SPLENDID view with all of your subscribers. Let's leave breakfast as a surprise! We are waiting for you 🤗
French Polynesia soo beautiful 😍😍❤️ Hope you guys enjoyed your trip !

We will have to check it out next time we visit!
Do you know the price difference for the private whale tours compare to the public??
Oh yeah - private is like $500 more! Public was much more affordable if you’re just a group of 2
no drone?
Any sharks or jelly fish or sting rays while swimming off of your balcony or ur bungalow?
We saw sting rays and sharks but no jellyfish!
@@TheLoversPassport how did you not freak out with the shark while swimming?
Polynesian sharks are not dangerous
