Who are Kara and Nate?!

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married 2013 and were super “normal.” I was a teacher and Nate started a small printing business from the spare bedroom of our apartment.
We discovered the world of “travel hacking” while planning our honeymoon & became addicted ;)
So after 2 years of obsessively saving $35k and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016 for a “one year” trip around the world.
Our goal was to see as many places as possible before we ran out of money and went back home to “normal life.” We started this channel to share our experiences with friends and family, but quickly fell in love with living on the road and found a new passion for capturing our travels through video. So we did everything we could to keep going.
4 years later, we achieved our new goal of visiting 100 countries and all 7 continents. We had no plans to slow down, until 2020 forced us to ;) Which is when we bought a converted van to start exploring our own country for the first time!
After ~2 years of van life, we are back to full time international traveling! And now we are finding the best adventures the world has to offer :)
We are incredibly grateful to be able to continue doing something we love every day. 😊🎥🌎 Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our journey!

We’re here in Bora Bora now staying at the Conrad (10/8 through 10/14). We told a few of the staff that our favorite RUclipsrs recent video of the resort was helpful for us and they had nothing but very nice comments about how sweet you two were when you were here. Hi, I feel like your fans should also know that Bora Bora is accessible to those of us that can’t spend ALL of our $ (or points) to spend a night or two at one of those luxury hotels. I stayed at a lovely “budget” hotel called Temanuata that had walkable access to renting a boat and scooter to explore the main island if you don’t want the resort experience (where you’re frankly isolated from the locals and the true Bora Bora life). I loved every second of my experience there and would love to stay there again. It was only ~$170 per night!

@@suzanneng5326I get emails from Travelzoo and there were I think $800 flights from LAX (our main airport). So we jumped on it. That’s to Papeete, the flight from Papeete was kind of expensive for just island hopping but I don’t remember how much.
Kara is genuinely an incredibly sweet, humble and appreciative woman who deserves this level of luxury. I hope every other good woman out there also gets to experience something like this at least once in her life.❤

Staying in the Presidential Villa with its stunning features like multiple bedrooms, bathrooms, terraces, and an infinity pool must have been an unforgettable experience. The private beach, onsite restaurant, spa, and fitness center added to the overall indulgence of your stay. It's fascinating that the resort is situated on a private island, and it must have been quite an adventure taking a boat to get there. Ordering room service must have been the cherry on top of a perfect getaway. Thank you for sharing your incredible experience!

I love how, no matter where they are, (whenever humanly possible) he gets up and makes her coffee in the mornings. Even if he only does that half the time, it is epic. He is definitely a keeper, she is a lucky girl. And he is equally lucky to have a wife that is down for some of the crazy stuff.

I have read so many negative comments about these two which i believe is unfair. These guys getting to stay at such fantastic places is no different than a company paying actors to do commercials for them. Who better in the travel youtube world than these two. their videos are so well done and show off the place they stay. I love watching these guys and we have gone to peru because of them and are going to Rome for the same reason. Keep doing what you guys do, love ya both and can't wait for the next adventure
They brag to all who watches their videos about their stay at these pricey accommodations without knowing that not everyone who watches their videos can't afford to stay in these pricey hotels/ villas etc. They do it just for more views.
They started off with cheap motels too. This is probably the first video you seen of them and are automatically jealousy without understanding them! That is a sign of a bad trait and jealousy. This is what jealous and lazy people would say. You are the type to hate others without trying to understand their situation!!!.

We were there in February. Flew into Papeete. Took a plane the next day to Bora Bora and took a boat to Moorea and back to Papeete. It was amazing. We were in Bora Bora for 5 days and I got my open water scuba certification there. It was SPECTACULAR. When on the boat to the islands we spent a little extra to stay in the captains lounge while everyone else had to get rained on.

Conrad Hilton founded the Hilton hotel chain. And you were staying at the Conrad. Bora Bora looks amazing, been seeing lots of discounted flights to Tahiti, but the lodging isn't discounted. Glad you got to swim with the Manta Rays, they are amazing. Did the same thing in Bali and it was a very memorable day!

11:00 travel is stressful, and you do this full time, I'm amazaed at how well you manage with it..Glad the meditation works, I like to make the time to sit and draw when I travel. For me it helps take some of the intensity out of traveling.
Kara, you are terrific, and you should not feel stressed because you can’t entertain us, or any other personal problems. You are very kind and funny. You are a responsible person, and you should never feel stressed. You and Nate are constantly giving us entertainment and making our lives better. You are awesome, never forget that. Kara and Nate, back in '87 I spent a night on Bora Bora as well. However, instead of the place you were, I was at an overwater platform just a short walk from the airport shuttle boat dock.
