Nice one man, I recently bought a 1995 Hilux Surf SSX-R, wide-body, dual battery, moon roof, 4" lift etc, very similar to you. And I also own a manual swapped, 1UZ 1992 Toyota Soarer. Both are Dark Blue Mica so they make a good team. I call the Soarer Big Blue and the Surf, Bigger Blue, hoping yo make some more vids on both your machines. Superheroes don't always wear capes, sometimes they just save one 90s JDM 90s vehicle at a time ;-)
I absolutely appreciate the support brother. I will keep making videos, love interacting and meeting everyone from all around the globe feel free to hunt me down on IG or FB
I try to keep it clean, I just actually posted an update video to go along with this video. Soon I’ll take it out and play with it off road a little and bring you guys along with me.
Missin my 3rd gen toyota hilix surf with 600k miles and odometer is broken for 5 years now. Deisel. So reliable. Just do maintenance and youll be fine.
Dude it’s a really nice truck, just a piece of advise, like all diesel Toyotas (1KZ, L, 2L, 1KD…)you have to be very careful with the timing belt change (every 140.000 Km) intervals, because if they snap the engine grenades itself, but beside that maintenance schedule, they are bulletproof. By the way if you need engine parts you can order them from Central/South America because that engines are really common down here.
Actually it had a muffler delete, I later got tired of it sounding like a garden tractor so I ordered a brand new exhaust from RoughTraxx in the UK haha
Hey Anthony do you still have the Hilux can you share some information on where you were ordering parts from I am in the United States only thing is I will be getting a left-hand sided driving vehicle NADA right-hand-drive chat from Japan probably from South America or something
That’s dope dude. I just got a 974runner and took the side steps off. Looks way better. Did you buy the front mud flaps? Everyone says there hella hard to find. I’m not to worried about not having them but the do look pretty cool.
I really cant even recall the fuel mileage, 50L (small tank) would avg 450km or so in city driving. About 600km to a tank on the highway if I had the winds on my side.
Japanese classics just received this model and trim and selling it on their site. I'm highly tempted to get it. It's at 110k but it is freaking clean. How many miles do you have on yours? Yours looks mint!
@@artiztikbear They are quite popular rigs, I can see why after owning one. Great for camping or getting away, plenty of room for luggage or gear and super reliable. Legendary Toyota reliability.
Thanks buddy. To you as well, sorry for the late reply, I actually sold the Surf in hopes to find a clean 80 land cruiser. I miss the hilux was a great little rig.
I never really watched that but I seemed to get 350km or so per tank. Not as bad as Ive seen other get but also not great. My new to me 2lte is about the same
I got a deal by todays asking prices for sure, but the state I bought it in was a huge gamble. Not driven in a year, out-door storage with a broken door glass, no batteries, not running.
@@DanaAnthonyHoeft that doesn't look very good, im thinking bout buying a surf and swapping it with a 1GD FTV, that thing has great torque figures and is very fuel efficient as well (im expecting bout 630km on a full gas tank)

Did you modified the exhaust? Definitely sounds Diesel fiery.
Actually it had a muffler delete, I later got tired of it sounding like a garden tractor so I ordered a brand new exhaust from RoughTraxx in the UK haha
Hey man, sweet ride. How hard is it getting parts? And are they expensive?
Roughtrax has everything you could ever need, and reasonably priced

You bet I dont have this truck anymore but I do have a 2lte surf now I still order all my parts from roughtrax in the UK.

Good afternoon what is the diesel consumption???
extremely good. 50L tank 600km range on highway 500ish in city.
Hey man love your car! Im thinking of getting one but its using the 2LT engine. What do you think?
Both engines can be extremely reliable just take good care of the fuel and cooling system and I would bet it will out last both of us lol cheers
