Their are no lift pumps on these Toyota diesels. They use the injection pump to draw fuel. Make sure to use larger fuel supply lines when doing the conversion!

All these engines with 4x4 5 speed trannies on ebay for $3500 seem to be too good to be true and I haven't found a forum yet where someone actually has a good importer! I couldn't do this right now, but I'm trying to gather resources so that hopefully by this coming spring, everything will be ready to go. I've also thought about a half cut. What would something like that cost?

Wondering how you integrated the engine wiring with the truck? Do you offer remote technical assistance? Installed and mounted a “1KZ” into a HiAce Super GL (original motor was the 2.8liter “3L”).
+Burbidge86LLC We would never install a 4bt into a Tacoma. Those work great for off-road vehicles only. Its a commercial engine that will literally rattle your truck apart!
+kyle reese The conversion cost $16500.00. It does get better fuel mileage and has much better low end torque. Feels much faster from a stop. People who love diesel engines are the ones purchasing these.

Fuel filter is in the wrong positon.
It would of been cheaper to import.

It is an alternator,,, Toyota just calls it a genorator
