to anyone confused/doubtful abt the boosting he did on low end, yes typically you want to cut low end out of vocals but today i tried recording a 6 take vocal layer using this chain as reference, it is very dependent on you’re voice e.g if you’re singing voice is low and deep like peeps this can work but if you’re vocal dynamics sit mainly in the mid high end this preset will most likely not be as effective, as well with the right master on the beat (room in the sub) and side chain compressing the vocals with the beat this vocal chain can be very effective, like others have said it’s voice dependent and i would encourage anyone who admires peeps vocal sound to take inspiration from his vocal chain and make it they’re own thinking about what kind of voice you have and what kind of beats you are putting vocals over ps i’m not a professional this is just my experience experimenting myself with what i learnt/took away seeing his process
Really interesting. His vocals always had this compressed, distorted, almost dry/crackly sound to them. A rare example of an artist who created a vocal processing chain very unique to them that nobody has ever really tried to replicate
something to note this is the recording session and a demo mix there was an actual mix engineer involved that did mixing and mastering on the come over when ur sober albums
No fancy plugins, no complicated parallel processing, no crazy bus routing... just unmatched talent from hard work alone. What a loss. Lil Peep, gone too soon... This video taught me that simplicity is key and helped me a ton in trying to achieve this style of vocals. This is the best vocal mixing tutorial, hands down.

First of all are those 6 just different takes of this main tone or is he making harmonys? And what with these 4 layers down there. Are these harmonys with different tone? And why are 4 of those hard panned to the right and not 2 to the left and 2 to the right? Why two in the center and two hard panned right? I hope someone can help
there is nothing to say or understand, it was just his way to make music, he did hard pan 2vocals on the left, or right in all his songs its its probably bcuz it seems to sounds good for him, but panning vocals will make a wider effect anyway

Bro, all you have to know is there are 10 vocals layers in total. 6 in the center 4 in the left and right 100% They are not Harmonies just plain ol vocal takes in some songs he sang a couple layers in lower octive but that always stayed in the middle Ik in this project all side layers seemed to be panned in just the right.. I think it's some technical error
@@SessionVault so I tried it but unfortunately most of the plugins are not there and I didn't find any alternative plugins like aufilter etc. so it's a shame because you are probably the only one who hit his mix exactly it's a big shame for me :(
