Im a 71 yr old female with a fused laminectomy cervical spine at C3 to T1. I can not-not play golf. I am in pain but yet I play, and in fact getting better because I now play each hole as a bogey hole. Which if I succeed, I am only 18 over. My current handicap at the Whites is 22. I play with 15 yr old irons, Callaway driver, old 3 wood, new 5 w Maverick, 7 cobra hybrid, ping putter. It’s not the clubs per-say, its just me behind the club. I look forward to this season being even better. Im always learning. You Tube has helped me tremendously.
I have a golf buddy who is a golf snob only ever playing with the latest clubs balls etc and he is still a 20+ handicapper he must spend a fortune on equipment the only good bit is when a new club or putter comes on the market if your in the right place you can pick up his old ones at a fraction of the price
Got to say I _love_ Gaz's attitude. Realistic and acknowledgement that not every golfer is this elite level player who needs all the gadgets and gizmos. These clubs are definitely worth considering for the average slap-and-giggle golfer.
Greetings from California.Your Costco campaign and Let's Play Thru's brought me to where I should have been 10 YRS. ago! I spent $1000's of dollars chasing the magic clubs. I am a big Costco fan.Forget the "Nay-Sayers"!Costco Forever.I continue to watch all yours and Gabe's Kirkland Signature Videos.Big Brands will always criticize Costco.Have more of Gaz on!Thanks,Bill Matthews
I have a KS1 that i had bought for my son when they came out. He didn't really care for it so i ordered the weight kit and gave it a shot. The weight kit transformed the putter for me. It's good enough I haven't felt a need to replace it. We use the balls on occasion and other than spinning a bit much for me they're great. Overall it seems that for the price the Kirkland golf line is hard to beat.
I was a Snell guy and now play Vise. Their prices are going up as well unfortunately. Tried Costco balls, liked them but found the cover gets scratched up easily, for the price you can't beat them. I use the Hogan clubs because they are quality and sell direct to consumer for a lot less money. The Kirkland driver looks just like the Hogan driver to me. Paying 600 dollars for drivers, and $1500 for a set of irons is nuts to me. But that's what makes the world go around. Thanks for the video!
Thank you for the budget-priced product reviews. Much appreciated! I found the Kirkland balls to be "super spinny"--any mishits became "hooks" instead of "draws" or "slices" instead of "fades." The Srixon "Soft Feel," Titleist "TruFeel," and Maxfli "Softfli" are comparably-priced balls that don't end up in hazard areas as frequently for me.
Kirklands work out £1.15p a ball, the Titleist and srixon balls u mentioned work out to be £2.10p a ball here in the UK, we don't have maxfli over here so not sure on those. The newer version of the Kirkland ball is meant to be a lower compression and less spinny, is it the new version you're talking about?
They make golf gloves as well, which are 1/3 the price of top line gloves and every bit as good. I have a friend that has their wedges and swears by them. Tremendous value with Kirkland.
I’m in the USA and I’m a member at Costco. I don’t know about the players across the pond but here in the U.S there are a lot of golf snobs. I don’t care, I’ll tell them when ever I get paired up with random guys, Costcos gloves are just as good as anything. 4 pack for 23 dollars. Fuqn steal! The balls are dam good too! I’ve played many rounds with a pro V or a Srixon side by side with a Kirkland ball and I’m telling you it’s a great ball!!! The Kirkland ball has some serious bite around the greens and off the tee I’ve noticed they’re just as long as anything else and maybe -3-4 yards shorter into wind. Cmon man, at 27 dollars for 2 Dozen, It’s a no brainer. But still, the snobs here rather pay48 dolllars for a dozen. Fine, more for me.
I played top flight hard as a rock ball in high school in non tournaments. I’d be thrilled to get a ball that performs 90%+ of a pro V for the price back then.
I'm recovering from shoulder surgery and my shots have been very erratic. So while working to regain my consistency I've switched to the Kirkland ball. I'm now no longer spraying the ball around and I've stayed with the Kirkland ball. It spins a bit less than a Pro V 1 but I've lost no distance. This very low priced ball rocks!! (edit) I'm buying the refurbished ones off of Ebay.
I shot my best ever round of 79, 8 over with a used Kirkland V2 ball. I've just ordered 40 more as a result. 7 shots better than my previous best. I was 17.9 handicap at the time, now 15.8 as a result of that round.
I’d like to see to you guys play a round and compare scores between your normal set and the Kirkland clubs to see if you can play to your handicap with the Kirkland clubs
I think that it's great to have the choice. Living in Ireland, we don't have Costco so we don't have the option of going for better value Kirkland clubs (or balls) and there's a massive import duty now on all items coming from UK so we don't have that option. Keep up the good work
As a player new to golf & a high handicapper, being able to buy brand new balls that go far, feel soft and have decent durability for this price is a no brainer. I bought 2 dozen for £23.99 inc tax yesterday Costco Cardiff, and I was in sports direct today and even a dozen big brand balls are more expensive than the two dozen Kirkland balls.
I do use the balls,,,wedges and putter with the weight kit. The money spent on putter,,,could of picked up a used putter same price. The high speed clubs like driver, I went with Cobra and Hogan for irons. Saved money on Irons but not driver. Love the videos on afordable stuff thou,,,keep it up and want to see the 18 hole match up,,,lol
I suggest you bring on a mid to high-handicapped individual when you do videos involving clubs for this specific performance range. Using professional or scratch golfers only highlights the skills of the golfers using these clubs. It's not a true comparison for which these clubs were marketed. I'm not complaining or anything, just an observation.
I just drove 2 1/2 hours to get a set of 2021 Callaway X Forged CB's with project X steel shafts, In super clean condition, maybe a dozen round on them and paid 475. And I was looking for them because I bought an X Forged UT 21* used from golf galaxy off the used rack and loved the feel so figured why not get the irons to fill the set 👍 very happy with the purchase. So for the 5-pw and the UT 3 iron im 600 in. Then just a few days ago I got a Callaway jaws 54/10 r grind full toe in mint condition for 75 off Craig's list
Great review on budget clubs that every day players can use. The banter back and forth is what golfing with your bubbies or son or nephews is all about. Totally enjoyed every second of this video. Just coming off the local course with my son and his friend and nephew first time out this year is what is it all about. TY.
I have the KS1 putter (bought from the USA cheaper!) and the weight kit as my local greens as crazy rolling punched winter green. Balls are ok but 10 yards behind a Prov 1 on drives. The Kirkland wedges are amazing, ( bought mine on Ebay used but spotless 3 for £100!) Off a winter mat on Sunday 45 yard 60' deg flop shot give me 3 yards of back spin! After nearly dunking the hole! Products are good, access is poor will not post outside Britain so no other UK regions : (
I would love to play the Kirkland irons however I am 6 foot 7 and need my irons 2 inches over standard and 2 degrees flat so the out of the box clubs are out of the question. Have been looking into the Takomo clubs.
Not bad, considering weather and aerated greens. Even the iron shots that were not perfect, actually ended up where they were aimed, according to the divots.
Plus at Costco, you are able to return them at any time and go on and get a new set of them! Say if one broke or you're looking for new clubs for the season ahead, you can return them and get some brand new ones!
Have they done any hybrids or fairway woods? Was in the sheffield Costco at weekend (course shut coz of the rain) and only had the callaway edge set in
I got paired up with a guy who asked what irons I was using since he had not seen them before (Ram FX 77). He said they look nice but he could never use a DTC brand because he must have fitted clubs. This man had no pars in 9 holes. Granted, neither did I but I had only been playing for a few months at the time.
As you both say for mid /high handicap player these Kirkland clubs and balls are very hard to beat. i have been using the balls for years and on occasion give the odd one away to mates who dont believe me how close they are to their expensive ProV1's. And the gloves are fantastic as well
I have the gen 5 driving iron and if im honest i struggle to hit it, i get the odd shot where im like oooo yes but most im not going further than my 5 iron, probably a major skill issue from me
I like the looks of the Maltby TSI IM forged, satin finish! Gabe tried those recently and he loved them! Maybe he will send these along to you as well James! Thanks for the piece?
Really enjoyed this video. I like the discussion regarding the clubs and the ball. Nice to have two opinions that are not the same on some things. Great accents too.
I saw pics of the KS2! Hope you review! I doubt they will do fairway metals or hybrids, driving iron? lol, it’s a great way to get your first set for not a lot of money,
Recently signed up to Costco in Sheffield but can't buy clubs due to being a leftie and same with the gloves cos only ever seen them for right hand players
I love using my Kirkland golf balls and my golf glove. I want to get my hands on those irons and driver!! I want saw an image of a KS2 coming out soon. It looked amazing.
Great stuff! I would like to see a comparison of the Callaway Edge sets Costco began selling a few years ago? Compare those (still available in the USA at least) with the new Kirkland power bats. Let's also see how someone with an 85 mph driver speed would fare and which set might be the actual best value for "Joe Average" golfer.
I am lefty and won't play their hollow body irons and their wedges aren't in the lofts I play, so most of their products are either not available or just not playable to me.
Are clubs expensive.....yes! But I've got to spend my retirement savings on something. I'm certainly not leaving it for the kids! 😅. I'm not sure I'd play the Kirkland, Takomo or Caley clubs just to save money. But then again, if they perform just as well as my Mizunos.....
My mindset is similar to yours: you really have to be the best in the world to utilize every ounce of performance in those expensive balls. As far as I'm concerned, with the average player, it's very unlikely that if the ball goes anywhere other than piped right down the middle, it because you weren't using the absolute highest quality ball.
Kirkland ball is basically the same as a Pro V1 for the average golfer but at a fraction of the cost. Kirkland is a no brainer to me. Also, you'll do a lot better if you use the same ball every time rather than switching around.
I use the Costco balls as they both suit my game and also my wallet. They were on special in Oz - $35 for 2 dozen. Only 2 balls have gone swimming in the last month.
Kirkland at it again. Like them or hate them..... They are quality. And for the price point...... I would say value and performance per $. Pound for pound if you will. Maybe the best clubs on the market. The wedges and putter are for sure.

That’s tremendous!!! Hit em straight !!!
Hell yea
I have a golf buddy who is a golf snob only ever playing with the latest clubs balls etc and he is still a 20+ handicapper he must spend a fortune on equipment the only good bit is when a new club or putter comes on the market if your in the right place you can pick up his old ones at a fraction of the price
All the gear and no idea?
If he’s got the money and it makes him happy who gives a flying f**k 🤷🏼♂️
😂😂 they’re unreal. A 20 hcp could use clubs from the 1950s and he still wouldn’t notice a difference in his scores.
Definitely a p790 rip off they look better though. Almost blade like
Great bloke to know. Enjoy his cast offs.
Kirkland ball plus Kirkland irons equals a balanced golf game. High spin ball. Low spin irons. They are fitting people without fitting them
Got to say I _love_ Gaz's attitude. Realistic and acknowledgement that not every golfer is this elite level player who needs all the gadgets and gizmos. These clubs are definitely worth considering for the average slap-and-giggle golfer.
I shop at Costco and I've never been disappointed by the Kirkland brand. I'm excited to see they now have their own clubs and they're good quality.

What part of the US the Gloves are 29.99 for 4 and balla 36.99 for 24. Which is still cheap.... maybe... they were yellow
I believe Gabe did a video, where a shaft with a mizuno adapter will fit in the Kirkland driver.
Yes he did!
I played top flight hard as a rock ball in high school in non tournaments. I’d be thrilled to get a ball that performs 90%+ of a pro V for the price back then.

A friend who is trying to take up the game bought these Costco golf clubs. They're really nice clubs, especially for the price!
Been a Costco member since 1987. Buy anything Kirkland, except these irons. Sadly, as a senior I need lighter more forgiving clubs.
Very true
I shot my best ever round of 79, 8 over with a used Kirkland V2 ball. I've just ordered 40 more as a result. 7 shots better than my previous best. I was 17.9 handicap at the time, now 15.8 as a result of that round.
Listening to you and Gaz banter makes me think you two are brothers. The two of you together make the best videos!
I’d like to see to you guys play a round and compare scores between your normal set and the Kirkland clubs to see if you can play to your handicap with the Kirkland clubs
I play the Kirkland Golf ball too. Would love these Kirkland set, like the way they look and would love the distance boost.
I play the wedges and absolutely love them, so much spin
60* is where its at

Imagine if someone like Caleb Surratt walked onto the tee with a set of Kirklands. That would really stir things up nicely!

Weird flex, but ok
Hello James what golf bag is that
Hi what bag is that you have. Love the divider system on it.
Its an OGIO stand bag, looks like the 2022 Woode series
Hope Costco comes out with one-length irons also.
Great review on budget clubs that every day players can use. The banter back and forth is what golfing with your bubbies or son or nephews is all about. Totally enjoyed every second of this video. Kirkland Golf Balls go 10-12yards shorter in distance for me for some reason I use usually a Snell or TP5/X or AVX
Not bad, considering weather and aerated greens. Even the iron shots that were not perfect, actually ended up where they were aimed, according to the divots.
Are these worth it for someone like myself just getting into golf , or do I go second hand? , thank you
great to see Gaz:) very tempted by the clubs. but dont really need to replace anything!

So at the price range of the Kirkland, which iron set would you say is the best?
Great guy and high caliper player who's not into nonsense
I like the kirkland ball. Feels good and reacts well. Not seen the driver or new irons instore yet though.
Saw the driver yesterday (there were about twenty, all in the stiff shaft), but never yet seen the irons.
😂😅 The putt that almost lipped out and James walking away so fast had me freaking dying😂. That was so great.
The ks2 fang looks cool
As you both say for mid /high handicap player these Kirkland clubs and balls are very hard to beat.
i have been using the balls for years and on occasion give the odd one away to mates who dont believe me how close they are to their expensive ProV1's. And the gloves are fantastic as well

I would use iron covers as they are shiny chrome plated.
Iron covers on Costco irons= annihilation from my buddies haha. But to be fair iron covers on any brand would yield a similar result.
Really enjoyed this video. I like the discussion regarding the clubs and the ball. Nice to have two opinions that are not the same on some things. Great accents too.
Does anybody know who makes the clubs ? They kind of have a Hogan profile. Maybe Callaway ?
I saw pics of the KS2! Hope you review! I doubt they will do fairway metals or hybrids, driving iron? lol, it’s a great way to get your first set for not a lot of money,
Recently signed up to Costco in Sheffield but can't buy clubs due to being a leftie and same with the gloves cos only ever seen them for right hand players
I love using my Kirkland golf balls and my golf glove. I want to get my hands on those irons and driver!! I want saw an image of a KS2 coming out soon. It looked amazing.
Always a good watch when you two play a match with a club review rolled in.

Let's also see how someone with an 85 mph driver speed would fare and which set might be the actual best value for "Joe Average" golfer.
The Kirkland clubs look great. I would like to see a comparison between the Kirkland clubs and the Tour Edge hot launch C524 series
I would play them. I swing srixon zx5/zx7 but hell I would try them out for sure
Nice. Be interested to see them on the course.
I am lefty and won't play their hollow body irons and their wedges aren't in the lofts I play, so most of their products are either not available or just not playable to me.
There is a new KS2 mallet putter coming out
Just missing the matching Kirkland gloves! Great video

That Kirkland driver head cover needs to give birth once or twice. Loosen it up a bit. Are they regular length irons?
Kirkland ball is basically the same as a Pro V1 for the average golfer but at a fraction of the cost. Kirkland is a no brainer to me. Also, you'll do a lot better if you use the same ball every time rather than switching around.
I think they will sell very well here in the US
You two definitely need to play an 18 hole match using Kirkland equipment, awesome video mate
These were on sale in the US for like a month or two then all disappeared. I assume they all sold out. I'm hoping I can buy their driver soon.
Are they available worldwide??. I am from Kenya and i need a cheap set
I use the Costco balls as they both suit my game and also my wallet. They were on special in Oz - $35 for 2 dozen. Only 2 balls have gone swimming in the last month.
Be great to do a review of the Costco full set against other full sets of similar price. Maybe a set of stix for example.
What bag are they using?
Great video , had to chuckle that you had a Seed glove on and not your Costco glove 😉
I absolutely ❤️ your matches. They always make me smile, especially as I know Gaz and how much he wants to beat you! Lll
James can you do a review of inesis tour 900 3 piece ball please
Kirkland at it again. Like them or hate them..... They are quality. And for the price point...... I would say value and performance per $. Pound for pound if you will. Maybe the best clubs on the market. The wedges and putter are for sure.
I shop there loving the yellow golf balls for winter
Great review
I’m gonna buy the whole set
Thx
You can always get into Gary’s head. 😂
That's funny. Needed more club on that chip. Sounds like something I'd say.
Just bought 4 dozen Kirkland yellow golf ball for the princely sum of £39.98, less than £1.00. What is not too like about that
When are they coming to Canada!???
it is so nice and fun to see you two play, thanks for that.
Since most of the Costco clubs don't come in lefty, they do nothing for me. But my Haywood irons weren't much more and are true blades.
They’re $300 more…. That’s a lot
@@CharlotteK2008 I paid $550 for heads and put my old shafts in. Still no lefties.
Does Kirkland make ladies clubs or mens only?
When can you buy them in the uk
TaylorMade figure they can slow costco sales down with a court case they cant win ? Cost of the case must be less than the $'s they'd lose on unsold p790's due to these Kirkland's being on the market?
I am a Costco member, like to see more left handed golf equipment from them.
I go to Costco for my golf balls they are brilliant!, great content keep it up
I think the putter is awesome I might have to get one. Will Scotty Cameron sue them for the putter?
Did Ping sue Cameron?
Haven’t tried the clubs but I’m a devotee of the golf balls.
Go to Costco every month. Great deals all the time. Waiting for the driver.
I'm a Costco member in the states. Have been for 18 years. Those clubs are a bute. GM is playing great these days as well.
I game the Ball and Putter, the rest of my clubs are Maltby
Always pick up a box of balls got the first set of v3 yellows the other week
I don't understand the headcover guff. Get a custom one and have some fun with it!
Please review Ben hogan icons and ptx
There's two ways to play golf ⛳. One is to adjust your clubs to fit your game. The other is to adjust your game to fit your clubs. The best way is probably a mixture of both.
