I watched the news, the Nato conference, the Press Conference and more news until 11pm and then listened to NPR this morning and did not see or hear of this AFL-CIO meeting, except President Biden mentioning seeing them, in passing, until I tuned in to hear what you had to say. Thank you, Lawrence and thank you MSNBC.
The educational system worldwide needs a complete overhaul. Children and adults of future generations need to be educated in such a way that they become fully capable of discerning lies from truth. This requires a curriculum that emphasizes critical thinking, media literacy, and ethical reasoning. Furthermore, educators should be trained to foster environments where questioning and independent thought are encouraged. Only then can we hope to build a society that is resilient against misinformation and capable of making informed decisions.
That's never going to happen in the US as long as education is funded primarily by property taxes. Will always mean that poor neighborhoods have lower education than rich neighborhoods

3 hours after Trump told his zombie followers to attack the capital to disrupt the count... he abdicated from the responsibility of the president by failing to clearly act and call in the guard... his zombies left as soon as he told them to. Next he stole state secrets and stored them at his swamp house. When asked to return them he only returned some and tried to lie that he had returned everything, which when the FBI raided the swamp they found not just a couple documents misplaced, but dozens of boxes containing a mismatch of government materials and personal crap. He betrayed anyone who has ever held dear the privilege of having a clearance and the responsibility that comes with it. Trump was found guilty in NY of tax and business fraud, which should be a no brainer that Trump doesn't have what it takes to be a valid president.
The problem is when you have a guy who is trying to be honest with the American people debating a loud mouthed mythomaniac. Hard to win in a situation like that
