Consideration needs to be taken regarding educators who bully. Educators behaviour needs to addressed either through being monitored through a student rating system, or adequate support from the Universities. They need to be held accountable to abusive behaviour.

Absolutely - there is certainly no place for bullying

Thoroughly enjoyed this. Failed 1 placement. Expected too much as my course was masters and I ‘should’ve known more’ - really put me off pursuing a career in it.

can you give any more information as what they wanted you to know in that placement?

      @@Kitkatros hey Rosie,
Possibly it could have been the actual people involved so I wouldn’t be overly concerned. However it was on emergency care and medicine - so anything from acute respiratory issues to general unwell requiring physio I.e balance assessments and so on.
Tutor at the time said I should’ve known 1) how to read and interpret an X-Ray 2) know all of my ABG’s and what they mean 3) a good understanding of NIV 4) I should’ve been able to take the lead more.
She expected me to be acting as a physiotherapist at band 5 level (it was my 3/6 placement)
As I say, was possibly just an isolated incident as every other placement was grand.

    Dear sir,
I am a new physiotherapy student
But i have no experience of any physiotherapy treatment in my life
So i have no any clear idea how can some be cured by physiotherapy treatments because most of them are like exercises , as well why a gym trainer cannot help people with that instead of a physiotherapists
What is the specialty of physiotherapy and what is the basic principal behind it
I am so sorry if I troubled you and pls excuse me if these questions bother you
Thank you so much in advance

Hi Dishmi! I would suggest you are probably going through a normal experience for anyone STARTING their study in physiotherapy... Don't panic, take your time and let your confidence grow! As you get more confident you will naturally learn these things over time 😊
