I have had Elements for about six months now, I have taught myself how to edit pictures but there is a world of options out there I just dont know how to use, I know I am missing a lot with this program.
Where can I learn everything I need to know about making my pictures great, rather then just seeing tid nits of information with these videos which frankly I forget when I edit a picture.

Fine if you have a fairly straight horizon, but doesn't work if you have a complicated unecen subject like a historic building with turrets, chimneys etc

If you did not want the clouds, but wanted to enhance the blown-out sky, then you could try the Smart Brush using Blue Skies (or try others) from the Natures preset, or in a Layer Mask add a Photo Filter, I find Cooling Filter (82) gives a realistic sky colour and this methord will retain any colour grading from the original sky, giving a more realistic look; if there were clouds in your original photo, then you can Erase the filter over the clouds to retain their white colour.
