  • In this weeks video we installed some long tube headers onto my 89 Chevy K5 with a 5.7 350. A few little bumps in the road with it but overall pretty happy. Follow along for the rest of the build.
    Hope ya'll enjoy it!

    Did you get footage of the work you did to get headers on?

      I don't think I have any footage in the engine bay of them going on but for the most part they seemed to slide in relatively easy

    Did you happen to have any issue on the passenger side? I'm installing the same headers on a 89 c2500 and it seems like I'm getting hung up on the starter

    • @TheBarrierBrigade
      @TheBarrierBrigade  5 месяцев назад

      Nope, no issues at all on the passenger, it seemed to fit right on there with no issues. I wonder if the starter is different because of a different transmission?

      Somebody else had done something with the exhaust before me so I was fortunate to not have to do anything with it.

    Hey man I have a 92, and that stupid bracket that you said you had to modify, is what is isn’t mounting back on, I’ve seen people completely remove it, what did u do and what do u recommend?

    • @TheBarrierBrigade
      @TheBarrierBrigade  Год назад +1

      Well I'm no professional lol but I notched it to fit, so it is still attached in some spots but the one spot where it was hitting I cut off.

    I’m doing this on my 91 k1500, long tubes and passenger side fit perfect, can’t seem to get around the oil filter with the drivers side header. Any ideas?

      Yea! I had to use this remote oil filter kit. There are 2 videos about it! Here is the first one, hope it helps!

      I used the painted long tube headers, fits small block chevy with a black finish. 1-1/2" tubes with 3" collectors, came with an adapter for 2-1/2" I believe. Part #: 30055

    • @TheBarrierBrigade
      @TheBarrierBrigade  2 года назад +1

      They fit just fine in mine aside from the few modifications I had to make with the oil filter and power steering bracket. Overall it wasn't a bad fit.

      Sorry, I’ll try to remember that for next time, honestly they were some cheap headers from kegs I think so I didn’t think there was anything special about them haha didn’t think anybody really cared much about them
