You old head Resident Evil fans are pathetic and obnoxious. Letting nostalgia blind you so badly that you’ll just make up any shitty reason to hate the new games, and will cop an attitude with anyone who does enjoy the new games. Truly toxic the Resident Evil fanbase has become. Both versions can be, and are great.

Sure if it was knife on knife or same level melee weapons, it works, but parrying large infected tentacles the size of a human body, not so much making sense.

This fight is SOOOOOO broken. When he does the stupid tornado attack you literally cannot get out of the way and always get hit even if you hide behind the pillar and the R1 prompt to grapple gun out of the way literally NEVER appears for me. The dodge literally never works either for his other attacks even though I KNOW I hit it in time. Does anyone else have these problems?????????????
Yeah I would be mashing the dodge and I literally never get it. It was an issue for me during the pesenta fight. Hopefully they patch this... there is not way it should be this unresponsive
Had a blast with this saddler fight where he actually felt difficult. OG saddler was intimidating and I liked his personality but his boss fight was way too easy at least for me, other than that both versions are great and saddler’s a great villain.
had to go through separate ways twice to beat him, first time my friend convinced me to switch to assisted after dying to him 100 times. 2nd time i beat him 3rd time because i got the crossbow and a shotgun
I enjoyed the fight but a revamped version of the og version would have been perfect. Replacing qte with the new parry system to test your reflexes would have been amazing yet infuriating to me at least lol
True, although the new fight DOES use the parry system, in fact very often. Saddler's overhead tentacle stab lunge attack can only be parried, and not dodged unless you get very far away.

It’s not cramped like the original with saddler being able to close the gap very quick. I rarely used the parry system on hardcore facing him as the two pillars provided enough cover for any attack he did
@John_shepard I don't know about your playthrough, but Saddler's tentacle lunge can clip through the pillar, Dark Soul 1-style. Even if you use the pillars his lunge just goes straight through it, likely a bug but both annoying and hilarious
@@johng6657 yea I noticed that too but I just circled around the pillar and never stood still after it caught me off guard. The only time you should stand still is when he shoots out the bullets you kindly gave him lol

@@jenn5628honestly after failing a ton of times my friend convinced me to just switch to assisted which i was kinda upset abt doing so i did separate ways a second time today and beat him like 2nd or 3rd try. If you wanna beat him, buy the explosive crossbow and have a shotgun. First fight i didn't have either and had to go to assisted despite me honestly playing pretty good, my knife just kept breaking. You also have to be pretty focused to do quick time events but once you remember his moves and see that he's about to do a quick time attack you're more prepared to do it

It's called Origin of Tragedy. It's the same song It's just a lot easier to hear in Adas fight than it is in Leon's fight. A lot less going on and not as much background noise.
Lol, no he wasn’t. This Saddler is much more menacing and creepy than the cheesy (still good) original character, and he has a greater variety of attacks here. Saddler is a much more competent behind the scenes manipulator in this version. I’m the original he just gives away their plan from the beginning. The remake conveys the occult themes and effects of the Los Illuminados more thoroughly than before, and provides greater context for the las plagas as well.

In re4 original in separate ways, saddler did the same but in this remake the animation is better.
If it wasn’t for the parrying mechanics, these bosses would be so much harder, even compared to the original.

the dodge prompt only appears if you’re right in front of him. I think dodging is literally the only way to avoid taking damage from that attack
