First I love this song and the album itself is beautiful, thankful to Dwina and Robin-John for releasing these songs as a tribute to Robin. 2nd According to GSI Gibb brothers fan club, Barry and the Gibb clan are all good. 50 SCD is a beautiful album. IMO, although Robin was always willing to try new genres of music, he loved singing with orchestral backup. He was the balladeer of the group and a true romantic. As David English said, he was a kind man who truly knew the workings of the human heart and it showed in his lyrics. Agree with jackielh1, thank you Dwina and RJ for sharing these songs. I have heard and hope there is more hidden away (by all the brothers) that will eventually reach our ears.

Unfortunately, there are (currently...) approximately a handful of RUclips channels that concentrate on spreading false information about well-known people supposedly being critically ill, on their deathbed - or "just" having passed away...
At least one of these channels consistently includes "10 minutes ago", "30 minutes ago", "One hour ago" with one picture of the supposedly "critically ill", "on their deathbed" or "deceased" person - and another picture of a candle in the thumbnail.
Just to get people to click on the clip...

Barry, along with other artists, have been victimized by rumors as being dead. He is very much alive n well per mediamass. May be a reputable source. I’ll keep searching for valid proof.

This isn't on my version of the album and I see it's a bonus track on some foreign versions. I like it (but not as much as most of the songs on the main album). I'd love you to do any of Avalanche, Instant Love, One Way Love, Broken Wings, Solid, All We Have is Now or Sydney!

I made sure to read all the comments before posting mine, and I see that everything related to Barry's health is just a rumor, however I have to share something. I got suddenly hesitant when hearing your comment in this video today, because yesterday with the introduction of your reaction, the first thing to came to my mind was 'something happened to Barry', first it was Friday, and second you started with the memorial of the boys in Australia, also today and then the important commentary, all those things immediately gave me that feeling, and thought that was why you started with a tribute, but I clarify that from my side I had not read anything before, and now that you said you have received messages related, and also the comments of your followers, I cannot avoid feeling that this was something really strange 😬😶

I heard all of Robin's solo songs for the first time last year and, when I was listening to all of his albums for the first time, I decided to wait until Christmastime, which was still several months away, to listen to his Christmas album for the first time. When I finally listened to it for the first time, I was surprised at how much I loved it, despite it just being simple, traditional, Christian songs sung with Robin's voice and, sometimes, what sounds like a children's choir doing nothing crazy throughout the whole album. I just think that sounds so beautiful and like Robin was made for singing those songs. I just couldn't get enough of that album and was so sad when Christmastime was over and have been waiting ever since then until I could start listening to it again. That being said, I bought this Christmas record back in March and one of my sisters and I were super excited to listen to it but were going to wait until Christmastime, since it's a Christmas album. But, my sister had the great idea of listening to it in July, since there's the whole Christmas in July thing, and I thought that was a great idea. That gave me the great idea of listening to Robin's Christmas album in July as well, since I love it so much. So, I decided to listen to just those two Christmas albums - and only once - in July and that's what I did. But, now, I'm waiting until Christmastime, when I'm, when I'm sure I'll listen to it all the time until the season's over.

Barry has been suffering from arthritis over the years and it is now effecting his mobility.

Only rumours, silly people on the run, tryin' to get klicks! Years ago, I read something like Barry Gibb is dead. Forget it, Chad. I'm owning Robin's album 50 St. ........even as Barry's 'In The Now'. It's a nice thing, having both CD's in the caroussel of my player and pushing random-play. Gives a bit of Bee Gees feelin' and is more varied. Must say, especially Robin's album takes profits from.
Thanks a lot. Nice song with it's so touching Robin's ton of voice. I listened to it perhaps ten times not more. But, love especially the bridge. The melody of the chorus reminds of a bunch of 60's songs by others artists.

I love Robin's voice. I Started a Joke is one of "our songs". But , I can't unfortunately hear more than two of his songs in a row , because It makes me feel depressed. Most of them are excessively poignant for me, even more in the mourning time I' m living.

According to the Gibbs Service International (GSI) the rumours of Barry's ill health are definitely not true. The family have recently returned from a long holiday in the UK and all is well. GSI have a Facebook page with lots of news and info and this organisation has been going since 1999. It's full of archived news going back 20 years so well worth a look xx

Yes , that date is correct......50 St. Catherine's Street was released posthumously after Robin's passing....the songs were recorded earlier but not released....

What can be said about this song? It's Robin and everyone who loves him for his heavenly angelic voice. I saw some where just recently that Robin was the Bee Gees secret weapon. I don't know how far the Bee Gees would have gone if there was no Robin. This song shows why Robin is the favorite Bee Gee for so many Bee Gee fans. Every word he sings goes straight to your soul. St Catherine's Drive is a beautiful album.

Barry’s only health issue I’ve heard of is very bad arthritis. There was an article in which he says it’s “killing him”, so that might be what someone is telling you.

Hey Chad. I’ve been away for months. Still the same medical. I’ll email you. I often have this song on repeat in my car. But RUclips will not allow it to be saved to my Shazam playlist. Says it’s available on iTunes and Apple Music if you Shazam it, but it’s not there. I have tried to find this album (vinyl) in several places and when I do, this song is not on it. Was it only on a different country’s release? I’ve missed you and have a lot of catch up listening to do. ❤
