Looks like the other guy fell asleep. The Charger was already like a car lengths away before it even started moving.
Gotta love those old school Chargers. Fucking beasts!
*”ULTRA-BADASSES”* !!!!
As a JDM lover, i have to say, the best american car ever made. Love it. one day i'll have a supra, an r34 an this... And then i can die happy
This is a amazing car but one thats a lot better (in my opinion) is the 1969 dodge charger Daytona
+Jonah Nelms i am too sure but what are the diffrences between a standard charger to a daytona charger
Charger Master aerodynamics, for one
john hamlet Love my Charger. It's just a badass car.
Charger Master very damn late but also the power and top speed. One group of people got it to 216.13 in the 70s
I've heard of the term 0-100 but holy crap. Never in my life would I have seen something like that in real life
Such a beautiful car!
I own a 1968 dodge charger, gloss black, with the standard 440 Magnum in it, and it runs a 12.40, usually. What happened here??
Elevation. And who knows what motor it actually has.
***** Why the fuck would you post that here. This video had nothing to do with him.
Umm...sorry if I offended you,sir.
That wasn't even pointed to you.
Oh. Ok then :)
Dam that's one nice 69 charger.
The 1969 Charger is by far the best looking ones & to see this one whoop up on a newer Camaro is even better!.."Dodge, the brotherhood of muscle"
DAMN THAT'S INSANE! I want a Charger when I'm older, classic of course.
+Patch Yep, I've got my eye on a 1970 Dodge Charger going for £47,000. Not a bad price when you consider what you're paying for.
Ill take any charger
@@leewhitworth9142 did you get it!
@@poacher9118 That comment was made when I had virtually no concept of money, so unfortunately not
@@leewhitworth9142 one day mate
Yeah elevation does play a major role in racing, anything from the motor to the tires could be easily effected by the high elevation. This Charger probably is powered by a 383 just my guess, but who knows? Still a black beauty
The track elevation is 5800ft. Everything is at least a second slower.
Glad to see somebody noticed....For those trying to play along at home, Bandimere (the name is readily viewable in the first few seconds) is on the western outskirts of Denver, CO. Denver itself sits at about a mile above sea level; Bandimere is up in the foothills of the Front Range of the Rockies. Even with fuel injection, you're still losing some power at that altitude.
Isn’t it a matter of stomping on the accelerator as soon as the light comes on? How hard could that be?
Is the Camaro driver even trying?
Anyway, love that classic Charger R/T!
as an owner of a first gen charger, a 67, i approve
were they even flooring it?
Looks like there is a 383 mag. inside the Charger.
I love 69 chargers
He probably thought Fuck it I Already Lost.
CAUTION! CHARGER ACCELERATION BUTTON > 0:35
I think the Camaro driver was half awake at the light, nice race!
Hey My Dodge Charger
One of the best american cars in history, well done Dodge. Mopar or No Car!!!
wat was the guy in the camaro doing at the start???
being a dumbass
the time taken is too long, is the charger tuned?
Toh Han Shen Sea level affected it.
agreed
14's in a charger? Wow. Something had to be wrong.
A 14?
you left that guy in the dust
Mom:the food is not that hot
The food:
That Charger smoked that Camaro. Y do those new pieces of junk sell for so much damn money? LOL Look at it practically sitting there like a snail while that Charger's GONE!
C.H.E.V.R.O.L.E.T. Cracked Heads Every Valve Rattles Oil Leaks Every Time!
Blew his doors off
i think the other dude should never be allowed to drive a car ever again in his entire life
As a '69 Charger owner I have to say: Looks great and sounds bitchin!!!!!! And Congratulations to Victory for the Charger!!!!!!!

Маск кары просто нечто!!!
cheking the brakes. :D
I knew that charger would win
Well obviously.
True american Mopar Charger❤❤❤
70 charger does about 13.7 68 charger hemi 500 does about 13.3 13.5.
Don't know what a 440 magnum would do though.
Those times are off, they are not like a new car where your times are pretty accurate and close by anyone driving..
Old cars did NOT get any traction, you could not simply get in and floor the car,if you did you did a big 150 foot long burnout !! You cant even floor them from a 25 mph roll, you will spin the tires..
Tests were done with tires spinning, and not flooring it from after the 60 foot mark, they even would spin after that...Today anyone can get 12.60's consistently in a new 392 Challenger SRT,anyone...Not so on older cars..Thats why in some tests a 383 beats a HEMI then another a 440 is slower than a 340 ! They did not get traction like a new car..
Try that in your vehicle take off without flooring it until you pass 60 feet (go on a sidestreet in the boondocks mark a line 60 ft,then hop in your ride take off 1/4 throttle then after 60 feet floor it and time it...Then you will see the difference..
Test were done with SKINY 14" street tires when new, spinning and zero traction !!
Tracks were not as sticky as today, nor were the tires..Some well most tests were done on dirty/dusty roads..Even tested on Sandy beaches , how accurate is that, compared to todays top notch tracks !
They had no traction at all,you would spin down the whole 1/4 mile with a HEMI and 440 car ! Even 383 high performance Magnum (Super Commando ect) would grab rubber every shift and lose it past the 1/8 mile..
Hemi would run 12-13's spinning the tires and not flooring it the first 60 feet !! So,you cant compare that to todays car where you can floor it and hook up with launch control (a Hellcat Challenger can hook up better than any old car with todays tires, computer traction aids .. aka launch control) Also some when they tested them new, some journalists were biased against Mopar(they were faster, handled better ect that's a fact)
I was around when these were NEW !! At Sea Level 426 HEMI STOCK would run mid-upper 11's.
I am the original owner and own a 68 Charger RT 440 Magnum and 68 Chrysler 300 2dr ht 440 tnt since new,300 wifes car..I kept them and the 300 weights 3907 lbs,my new Challenger is 4200 lbs my 68 Charger is 3780lbs. Both 68's run 12's since new...Yes,I know how to drive most people cant hook them up,you have to squeal, smoke the tires when you launch the car to run 12's,but never floor it past 60 feet..Both ran 25 rear tires back then, bias ply. Both bone stock.
426 HEMI @ Sea Level will and did run mid-upper 11's at 122 mph in a street car with 3.55's,so you raced it,drove home then to work..HEMI's were reliable and easily used as a daily driver you can average 14 mpg...driven normally..Myself and brothers did so in the 70's..I owned several Hemi cars ((did not buy new)
440 6 bbl would run high 11's low 12's
440 4bbl would run 12.40's-13 flat depending on axle ratio/car 4000 B Body of 71 or a C-Body would do it with 440 TNT,Magnum,Super Commando and 3.23 gears.
383 Magnum 13-13.50
383 Four barrel, yes the Magnum 383 was a 4barrel but it had different heads, cam, carb, exhaust manifolds and 10:1 compression ! Those are mid to high 13's...Some 14's with heavily loaded car and 2.76,2.94 axle ratio.
72-74 400 4bbl could get high 13's -mid 14's
383 2 barrel mid-high 14 second car any day,with 2.76,2.94's.Owned a 4 door Newport 383 2bbl,2.76 single exhaust would hook and go to a 14.7 all day..
Hell,318 2 bbl cars run mid upper 15's to 16 flat..with 2.76 gearing..318's are decent with the right 2 barrel carb, some 2 barrel carbs they used were slow (don't remember which one ) They also sold a 318 high performance that had the good 2 barrel I am talking about from 72-74 or so they had the 318 2bbl and the 318 2bbl High Performance with that carb..
I also average 18 mpg in my 440 ,12 second 1/4 mile Charger with 3.23 gears..Don't kick the four barrel carb in then you will drop to 12 !
Today old cars are either quicker or slower as they rebuild the engine to run unleaded, thus most lower the compression, thus lowering performance/power...

Correction as some pick out any error...
I wrote somewhere 25 tires, obviously meant 235 tire (meaning width)
Then I wrote 4000 B b-body,again 4000 LBS b-body (I am not pressing down enough on keyboard I guess )
Probably a few more errors, but the average person can figure them out..
** Like to add I had a 70 Challenger RT in 1977 with a 383 Magnum,3.23,727 automatic I got 25 mpg on the highway !! Obviously not flooring it all the time..The average person didn't beat on them every day..Never took it to the track but I beat my friends 14.2 second 1/4 mile 1973 340 Dart Sport every time, and 1 car length behind my Brothers 1969 Super Bee 383,727,3.54 axle car that ran 13 flat to 13.22 all the time with 295 rear tires..he did spin as well every time..I beat my friends 350 hp SS 396 Chevelle every time by a length. And beat a 375 hp ss396 Chevelle I bought by a nose...Yeah the factory hp ratings were bogus, actually used net hp was told by a engineer along time ago,who worked for them.
01trsmar Nice manuscript you got there, too bad its so long I'm not going to read it.
.
No way you got 25 mpg in a 383 magnum. I have been around mopars all my life and I know the cars. You would be lucky to get 25 mpg in a 225 slant six. The 73 Dart 340 had less horsepower than the 68-70 340 and they would only do a low 14 most of the time, and an occasional high 13. The 73 was probably turning 15s. They had 8.5 pistons down from 10 in earlier years. I doubt the 73 340 would turn a 14.2.
What's the problem with the guy in the Camaro? Does he have narcolepsy or something?
Super charge it
1969 charger smoking that BMW m6 or what a sight what a sad sight you know who you mirror. Mike coming for you
Bmw m6? Really dude..
The Charger was racing a Camaro. Where did you get BMW m6? Look at the front grill.
Gus Lainas BMW...?
Mother of god....
+Gus Lainas It was a Chevrolet Camaro and yes, the Charger kicked its ass.
Fucking CHRIST
The Camaro just sat there..
سياره مفخره وجميله لو انها معي لن افعل بها هكذا
goodbye camaro =P
Mine does a 9-seconds flat
At 6000 ft. above sea level? Your dreaming
Kind of like a human running a race at 5800 feet, wouldn't be easy.
Good research....
What fool would want to race a v6 Camaro against the holy grail of all muscle cars?
I'm a charger fan because I'm a fast and furious fan
VK creations I'm a charger fan because dukes of hazard was my childhood. Also because it's a badass car lol
I'm not sure what the point of this video is. Neither are all that quick (the Camaro being pathetically slow) and there was no 'race' to speak of. That being said however the Charger had one hell'of'a'rx time. That was impressive!!!
68>all
THE BEST IS MUSCLE
General Lee
That was slow even for a convertible v6!
Even new Camaro can't beat the mighty mopar
ya the charger should be running about 12 something so there was something wrong
It's called elevation and you don't even know what's in that car. If it was bone stock it would run 13's not 12's
yes I agree but people underestimate a charger
This is true but the beauty of a charger is it has a huge engine compartment so you can modify the hell out of the car and turn it in to a monster.
nothings going to run 12's stock. modded? oh hell yeah, 10's even. but 14's is average for an ok muscle car.
Well the 68 to 70 charger ran from 13.2 to 14 seconds in...well 1968 to 1970 so with modern day drag tires or slicks it would be in the 12 second range. Plus there are a lot of modern day cars that can run 12's stock there just expensive as hell and usually have turbo or supercharged engines.
Mile high =slower et
I'm worried about that chargers time but I'm more disappointed in the new camaro
that camaro was nota v8
Mopar or no car
69 best ever *-*
Charger R/T smoked the Pony Car
I Own It.
The charger is also twice as heavy as the camaro😂😂😂😂😂
17 seconds in the camaro is slow even for a stock one. and that charger shoulda been doing 12's or something
fresh info from cctv...the guy in the camero was texing his BF!!!!....
camaro götü kalrdırana kadar charger yarışı bitirdi sen kim dragda 69 chargerla kapışmak kim :DDD
where is the camaro?😂
That 6 banger Camaro driver was absolutely pathetic.
Más aburrido que contar ovejas, vayan y vean el Ford Falcon de Piedigrossi.
I will never understand the love of these cars besides they look cool, they are so slow. literally a corolla is .9 seconds faster than the charger and it has drag tires not eco low rolling resistance tires. yeah the Camaro was asleep.
Considering it ran a 14.66 second pass this is stock engine. It hasn't even begun to tap into the potential power. The charger has less hp but it has grip advantage with slicks. Camaro showed up to drag on street tires and spun out of the hole. It's okay to admit you don't know about cars, because it's very clear you don't.
Cool car..I owned a 69 Charger RT....440 magnum...all original...lots of torque..but face it...as beautiful as they are..too heavy...no braking or handling...shit fuel economy...basically a lowered full size pickup truck... a new Mustang v6 or turbo 4 could outrun it.....a new Mustang GT or Camaro or Challenger would smoke it....they seemed invincible in the 70s, 80s and 90s cuz most cars were slow as molasses...now things are diffsrent..soon these muscle cars will collapse in value....especially as the Baby Boomers die off......
Американское ржавое ведро
0:35 get rekt
Slow as ballz....
Slowest dodge ever
That mustang driver sucks.
14 seconds for a Dodge Charger????????? for christ sakes my Hyundai could do better than that
Lennon, 14 is faster than you think. I had a 70 Charger 440 that turned 14s and I would eat your Hyundai alive.
Not at over a mile above sea level, it can't.
Actually, yes.
wolvieguy Has a point.
Super charge it
