Hello. It's been great to learn how to use the command, becase i didn't knew at all. But i just couldn't solve my problem, which was to use the same command in order to stretch a block or a complex object without loosing the proportion or the original shape. Thanks for your answer and for the video. It was really clear. :)

Hello Montse! To make changes to a block, mark it with a left click, right click and choose edit in situ or block editor. It may be that you are looking to scale things rather than stretch them!

      Hello Mr Emah,
I am so glad that I have been able to help. I should really make another video soon - any preferences?

Scaling is not the same as stretching.
In order to scale just along one axis, I make a block out of the objects to be scaled. I then scale the whole block using the object properties, then explode it if necessary.
I am happy to hear from anyone with a better idea!

In older versions of AutoCAD the stretch command was a little 'sensitive', but now it is more robust. Usually when it does not work as expected it is because of (a) not selecting properly (separate left clicks) (b) trying to stretch a block (no-go) or (c) trying to stretch too many things at once! Let me know if you need some help...
