Here’s to a VERY Merry Christmas, and an exiting new year! ❤️🎉 Thank you to each and everyone of you that have supported me along this journey. I see you. I hear you. 3 years later, I’m finally making an update on where I am in my HIV journey. I hope that my words can continue to help each of you. Because lord knows that the love you all have given me, has helped me immensely. My 3 year update is now up on my channel!! 🎉 Feels nice to be back! Thank you, Justin ❤️
Thank you guys for all of the love and support! I would love to try and build a family on here where we can further educate the world around HIV/AIDS! I would so appreciate it if you stick around and subscribe, as well as watch my other videos! ❤️ #letsendHIV
Justin, I admire your courage. HIV and AIDS have come a long way. I'm a 64-year-old female, married to the same man for over 40 almost 46 years now and I have my nephew that was diagnosed in 1994 with HIV. He is a full-blown AIDS. The doctor only gave him 3 months to live and he's still here and doing wonderful. So if you just take your medicine and have a wonderful outlook on life. Medical sciences come so far since 1981 when the first wave hit and I remember it and it was terrifying. But you know what you're going to be just fine.
You’re a blessing to fight the HIV stigma. Really hope for the good of humanity that this video gets millions of views! Wish all the best regarding your hiv treatment, and the rest of your long healthy life! :)
Beautiful soul. And for the rest of the people with HIV, don't ever forget that you guys are the same old you with or without the virus. You matter and are all loved by your family, friends and the same God.
It was a really good video, I have been keeping watching a lot of video about HIV. Each person has a different story would help for the people to understand what is HIV, how to treat it and how to maintain the life after that. Thank you Justin for this video and I hope you will have more videos in the future:)
Shout out to you from Big D!!! Very sorry to hear of your diagnosis. Take your meds and you will soon be UNDETECTABLE. A cure is coming soon!!!! You are such a sweetheart!!!! Thank you for sharing!!!! Keep it up. Your voice and positive energy MUST be shared!!!!
Aloha, I’m sorry to hear of your diagnosis at such a young age and I hope you take appropriate measures not to infect others. I think your video is very informative and you’re speaking from the heart. I can see you’re very nervous because your favorite two words is “you know you know you know”. Lol You’re in my prayers. Carpe DM
I laugh because me being a New RUclipsr as well I feel you 100% when you was explaining that it’s kinda awkward filming and talking to you phone is like talking to your self so I get. And your back story and how you explain and everything on this video is definitely amazing ! So don’t stop making the video Keep It Up 👍
I hope all the best for you Justin. Your bravery and courage is amazing. And YOU will help others be braver! I watch alot of RUclips videos and research hiv, there's so much stigma associated with hiv that needs to stop. And With a vaccine just around the corner, being trailed. and Hopefully a cure soon after will help millions more. But videos like yours will comfort others until then! Stay strong and keep being amazing!!
Hi Justin. I just saw your video and I saw you didn’t post any others. I looked at your IG and it looks like you are thriving! When you have time, maybe consider a 2 year update video. I was wondering about your process of telling family and their initial reactions and how that has changed or not in the last 2 years. Glad to see you doing so well. When I was your age, an HIV + diagnosis elicited so much terrible anxiety, shame, fear, and a likely early death. ❤
How are you, Justin? I hope you're doing just fine. This speaks how brave you are by breaking the stigma. Just keep fighting and don't forget that many people love you. I love you❤
Justin I just want to thank you for your self-acceptance. Its probably no big deal to you, but the self-love that you exhibit stands out to me because its something that I've struggled with for a very long time. I'm also gay, I'm 27 now, and I came out to my mother 10 months ago. When I was your age, I literally could not even fathom the idea of embracing my sexuality, let alone being out; and while I'm a lot more free than I was even 10 months ago, I'm still constantly shedding the internalized stigmas and hateful rhetoric surrounding this wonderful, same-sex loving aspect of myself. So to see you here, sharing your story from such a wholesome and vital space has made for a very healing 41 minutes for me lol. I truly appreciate you and wish you the absolute best!
Hi Justin, I just took that exact same test 2 days ago. The good news is I'm negative. The bad news is I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes around that same time (2021-ish) with an a1c of 13.5, which is way beyond the danger level of 9. Fortunately it's under control with meds and a very low sugar/low carb diet (challenging for a vegetarian!). Anyway, just wanted to say that yes, diabetes probably is a far more grim diagnosis than HIV nowadays. I mean I have it under control, but still have to watch everything I eat, give myself injections daily and deal with blurrier vision. And that's just the beginning. You will be fine. You have an incredibly positive attitude, and I'm sure a cure is just around the corner (hep C is curable now!). Stay motivated, stay handsome (sorry had to say it 😊) and best wishes.
Thank you for your video. Very inspirational and very helpful to others and may God bless you I have a best friend that is dealing with the same circumstances they have been positive for over 15years but through it all very strong they take good care of themselves you keep on taking care of yourself and you will do well lots of hugs from me sweetheart
I am a bisexual black woman whos HIV NEGATIVE, and I just want to say you touched my heart. I came across your video by the grace of god. I have a huge stigma about HIV and honestly the virus scares me to death. I used to think people who contracted it were promiscuous and dirty. You have completely changed my mindset and the stigma I had all these years I’ve had about HIV. You have a wonderful soul and a big heart. You’re an angel on earth and your video has touched me. I see you haven’t made a video in 2 years I was hoping to see a follow up video to see how you are doing but you haven’t came back. I’m sending your prayers love and light and I hope you’re doing well mentally and physically and have gotten your treatment. If you think making videos isn’t worth or that you haven’t made a difference I’m here to tell you, you have. I don’t know if u will see this comment but if you do please come back. I’d love to keep up with you and your journey. I don’t know you personally but just know you have a special place in my heart. Thank you for blessing the world with your video. You’re amazing. Keep it up ! Hope to hear from you!
Hey, thank you so much for your beautiful comment! I am still very much happy and healthy ❤️ I am so happy that a video I made in such a weird period in my life, has been able to help ANYONE. ❤️ I have definitely thought about a follow up video! It’s a possibility! Since it has been 2 years, I have definitely grown/changed a lot. But one thing that has stayed consistent, is that I am still very much content with where I am in life despite HIV. 🫶🏼 Thank you for your kind words. ❤️
"I am a bisexual black woman..." You are also a wonderful, thoughtful and compassionate child of God. Your post was beautiful, and I too remember the scare back in the 80s (the rumors that you can catch it through the air like the common cold, or through eating utensils despite them being clean, etc). I remember Ryan White and what he dealt with....
With today’s medication you can live a long full healthy life. You are very brave. Braver than I was at 19. Wishing you a long, happy, and healthy life. Thankfully it’s no longer a death sentence. You are inspirational ❤️❤️
Within 20 years from now, NIH & CDC would have a better drug for everyone, so you'll be just fine. Enjoy your life to the fullest, you deserve that best.
once again I want to appreciate Dr. Adule for helping me with his herbal medicine to cure my hiv totally and permanently I really suffered from this hiv for the past years, Right now I'm Free from hiv after using the herbal remedies Dr.adule sent to me .I gave all thanks to God for leading me to Dr.adule who was able to cure me completely from hiv Dr.adule you are the best traditional doctor in the world God bless you sir,you can visit his RUclips channel for more information..
I use my cellphone to record my videos and I have a mini tripod that I use sometimes. I just record sounds from my deck and my dogs. I sometimes do unboxing and just talk into the camera. Much love and a lot of hugs from south Carolina.
After exposure how many days you get tested and results is conclusive ..and according to you what is window period for hiv testing ....after how many days blood test can detect....plz
I went in for a regular check up and they offered the rapid test. I cursed at the nurse when she drew blood yelled P U T A and she was like oh no. I'm not that. So we start joking around and teaching her bad words in Spanish as she is doing the rapid test. (Since I'm starting a new relationship) just wanted to know before being with the dude. And yeah. After a couple of laughs She breaks out *Ok, the result are ready, 1 dot means negative 2 dots mean negative* From my point of view i only saw 1 dot them she pushes it forward and i just lost it for like 3 minutes. Boyfriend still decided to go on with everything. And still is very supportive
You’re such a brave young man and I hope you live a very long life and fall in love. Maybe more than once because life is short. Today HIV isn’t a death sentence like it was back then and there’s now medication for HIV to treat it and live a longer life. Something I wished the gay men before us had. Especially the ones who died young and never knew love or even experience a romantic kiss. Anyway, again, I hope you live a very long life and know love ❤️ 🌈👨❤️💋👨👬
Firstly I just want to say how brave you are but I’m also shocked this disease is still spreading. Thank goodness it’s not the 80S otherwise you may not be here. When I was at university in the late 90s I worried when I got flu symptoms and a weird rash. Obviously turned out to be nothing. However I do have Multiple Sclerosis now and often get the same rash so must be virus related?
I had a painless sore in my rectum about 3 months ago and after that I had flue like symptoms, then I was fine until 6 t0 8 weeks, then I got lower back pain that radiates down both legs and I have fever and swollen lymph nodes, is this syphilis or hiv?
Two HIV test from an at-home kit and a clinical rapid test still doesn't confirm an HIV diagnosis. One would need a confirmatory test (i.e. 4th Generation HIV1&HIV2 Antigen-Antibody test, along with an HIV1 RNA test taken to a laboratory for processing).
Hi, thank you for your comment! 3 years into my diagnosis and I can definitely still confirm, that I do still in fact still have HIV ;) Happy and Healthy!
@@TotallyJustin Great to see that you doing well and stay up on your meds. What do you think of the pending HIV functional and HIV sterilizing cure therapies? The pending HIV sterilizing therapeutic cure is called EBT-101, developed by Excision BioTherapeutics and the pending HIV functional therapeutic cure is called AGT103-T, intially developed by American Gene Technologies. Both EBT-101 and AGT103-T are the leading pending HIV sterilizing and HIV functional therapies. I'm very optimistic, so instead of using the word "possible" , the "pending" is more realistic, seeing that both EBT-101 and AGT103-T have both been in human clinical trials over a year, EBT-101 has an FDA Fast Track Designation and the human clinical trials for both EBT-101 and AGT103-T has been successful so far. Here is additional Information and updates on [1] the pending sterilizing HIV cure therapy, [2] the pending HIV functional cure therapy as well as [3] Moderna's pending combined *mRNA vaccine* : [1]. The pending HIV Sterilizing Cure Therapy, *EBT-101* , developed by *Excision BioTherapeutics* . EBT-101 is the potential sterilizing cure. Excision BioTherapeutics' CEO is Daniel Dornbusch and Excision BioTherapeutics' EBT-101 is currently in human clinical trials and in September 2022, Excision BioTherapeutics dosed their first participant in the EBT-101 Phase 1/2 Trial. EBT-101 is CRISPR-based, single administered therapy, designed to cut and removing HIV DNA out of human cells. This potential gene editing treatment employs an adeno-associated virus to deliver CRISPR-CAS9 nucleases and dual guide RNAs targeting three sites within the HIV genome that tell the enzymes where to cut. EBT-101 was initially developed by Dr. Kamel Khalili and researchers at Temple University, located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Excision BioTherapeutics received an FDA Fast Track Designation, for EBT-101. The Fast Track Designation is a process designed to facilitate the development, and expedite the review of drugs to treat serious conditions and fill an unmet medical need. This process is designed to expedite the development and review of drugs which may demonstrate substantial improvement over available therapy. [2]. The pending HIV Functional Cure Therapy *AGT103-T* , developed by *American Gene Technologies* and further researched by American Gene Technologies' sub-company *Addimmune* . American Gene Technologies' *AGT103-T* is a possible functional HIV cure. AGT103-T is currently in human clinical trials. In June 2021, the first patent was treated with potentially curative HIV cell and gene therapy. AGT103-T is a cell product made from an individual's own cells and modified with AGT103 lentiviral vector for HIV resistance. The Phase 1 trial found that AGT103-T was well tolerated in patients with HIV and there was no side effects. AGT103-T has the potential to have individuals with HIV, permanently undetectable, will not transmit HIV to another person, will no longer need to take daily/weekly/monthly HIV medications, and these individuals infused with AGT103-T will not get re-infected, thus making then immune to HIV. Currently, AGT103-T is potentially a functional HIV cure, because at this time there is not enough data to definitively indicate that AGT103-T will be a sterilizing HIV cure. AGT103-T is designed to restore the Gag-speciffic CD4+ T cell response in persons with chronic HIV who are receiving antiretroviral therapy. After the the official review of Phase 1 studies, which was a success, American Gene Technologies CEO, Jeff Galvin, announced that American Gene Technogies created a sub-company called Addimmune, which will focus the studies and research of AGT103-T, the hopes of an HIV cure and possible HIV vaccine. [3]. Moderna's* pending combined mRNA HIV vaccine. The combined mRNA HIV vaccine called *eOD-GT8 60mer mRNA Vaccine (mRNA-1644) + Core-g28v2 60mer mRNA Vaccine (mRNA-1644v2-Core)* . Announced on March 14, 2022 by Moderna, the first patent in a trial testing it's second mRNA HIV vaccine dose, less than sux weeks after launching human trials for its first dosage in January 2022. Moderna's second HIV dosage, mRNA, took a different approach by targeting HIV envelope trimmers via mRNA instead of eliciting broad antibodies against the virus. The trial is currently a collaboration between the Cambridge-based biotech, the National Institute of Health and the Division of AIDS within the National Institute if Allergy and Infectious Diseases. This trial is currently testing the pending vaccine in 100 HIV- Negative adults ages 55 and under. This is following the January 2022 launch of the company's Phase 1 trial for it's other HIV dose, which tested sequential administration of HIV immunogens via mRNA as a way to elicit strong and durable B-cell responses. In therory, B-Cell response will over time develop into more broad and robust neutralizing antibodies. There is potential mosaic vaccine that will trigger people's immune system T-cells called *HIVconsvX* , developed by researchers at Oxford University in England. This possible vaccine was announced a few years ago however, no updates has been made since. For a few years there was been a "Whole Killed HIV" genetically modified vaccine called *SAV001-H* , developed by Dr. Chil-Tong Lang and his research team at Western University's School of Medicine & Dentistry in Canada, however there hasn't been any recent update on SAV001-H, as this possible HIV vaccine in some time.
Try to Change your lifestyle To organize daily exercises for the neck and spine, maybe some exercises for relaxation and meditation or yoga Take only mineral water with magnesium content or content that will help you feel better on the advice of your doctor is how important it is to choose the type of mineral water one or more drinks daily and the function of the body. If you are a smoker try to stop smoking if you put many spoons of sugar in coffee or tea try to reduce to one spoon of sugar or none it is as important for your future life. Do not eat foods that have many calories or that harm the body but only healthy foods such as fruits, vegetables, mushrooms and fish .. . If you can try to do some sport. I’m going through it rn. Don’t know what’s wrong with me. I had a std test done a week after i had sex and there was nothing and i got a AB/ag test done 6 weeks after i did a oral rapid test at 90 days but this morning I’m waking up every 2 hours with a extreme headache. Fuck idk what to do.
@@Lee-1 i tested negative for 4 straight months with a ab/ag tests. Month 5 i took a Ora quick test which was negative. It’s month 7 and idk. I’ve tested negative for all stds i just don’t know what it is. Dr has done blood test and told me my numbers are great. But idk why my eye, nose and head is so itchy with dark rings under my eyes and random dark marks on my neck which look like hickeys. Idk.
This is very inspiring! I am currently doing a series on YT about young positive people. I'd like to use your video if that's ok with you? If not I won't be offended. I'm in the UK.
My symptoms were chills. 104 degree fever, felt like I was ran over by a car, my bones hurt, skin hurt. Sheet, even my hair hurted 😂 but again I also thought it was covid. I couldn't eat, had diarrhea, sleeping 14-16 hours straight through and about a week in i felt great and then the next day my throat broke out with the worst infection ever All my lymph nodes where swollen
@@wild8357 so according what u saying I might have hiv because what u mention means hiv like come on stop commenting none sense if a test 4th generation after 3 months means u dont have hiv then there is no hiv.White tongue i had it all my life, weight loose i dont have it besides i gain weight and third i have blurry vision for years now and i wear glesses so once again the symptoms u saying have nothing to do with hiv.U dont know what real symptoms of hiv are .
It could possibly be because of the window period in which tests can accurately detect HIV antibodies! Maybe wait a few days and take another one. As I do not know your doctor I cannot be completely certain though
Okay so this girl gave me chlamyida like 7 months ago and I got my meds took it went back clear, then I start gettin hiv symptoms like I’m panicking I haven’t had sex since
Just tested positive on Monday. And re-tested on Wednesday :( Still positive. Thought it was a evil dream but guess not. Started taking bikstarvy or something like that.. Trying to stay positive. Best wishes bruh
Was infected in February got a bad flu like symptoms in March. I literally felt like I was dying for 15 days. Thought it was covid. Got tested for covid and negative twice. And after Monday was like oh. Well now that weird flu made sense
@@thedoggroomerbrad_ It’s completely normal to have those initial feelings of sadness or even disgust with yourself. But just remember HIV does NOT DEFINE YOU. It has just become another layer to who you are. Taking your situation and being outspoken about it however is the most beautiful thing about it. Continue to educate yourself and others because you’d be surprised just how many people still don’t understand how treatable it is nowadays! I’m now 6 months into my journey with HIV but I can tell you that I’m actually thankful that this happened, because I’ve really grown and learned so much as an individual since I found out back in December. It won’t be easy at times emotionally but once you receive your first undetectable bloodwork back, you’ll realize that the hardships are worth it. It’s hard yes, but there is also so much good. I continue to educate my friends about HIV as well as how important PrEP is. I can see just how much some of my friends look up to me because of my strength dealing with it. It’s truly comforting. I’m also on Biktarvy, it has been truly wonderful so don’t worry! You got this. ❤️ #letsendhiv
@@TotallyJustin I'm feeling positive af although tomorrow will be my first week after diagnosis. I did start the meds this Wednesday. I'm more concerned about side effects than the actual HIV. And also have been talking to all my peeps with hyperactive genitalia and educate them to be cautious. I was careful always. Never did prep tho. However have only had 4 sexual partners in my 31 years. I do have general anxiety so sometimes that doesn't help and maybe makes me imaginé symptoms. However my sweetheart is always just a call or text away whenever i feel shitty and is always there to grab my hand. And all my douchebag friends are also there to make my life a living hell but that's tough puertorican love. We bully the hell out of eachother. Even this diagnosis is a reason to bully me (no sarcasm, they are straight up a-holes) and i wouldn't change em for nothing. Have a great support team. Although sometimes I feel like I do more emotional work for them than they do for me
This video was made two years ago lol. I was undetectable 3 months after starting ART, now we’re going on 2 years virally suppressed 🥂 and very much happy and healthy still

Hi was the rashes itchy or it is bumpy ?
And all of them came at once or day wise it progressed?
I use my cellphone to record my videos and I have a mini tripod that I use sometimes. I just record sounds from my deck and my dogs. I sometimes do unboxing and just talk into the camera. Much love and a lot of hugs from south Carolina.

After exposure how many days you get tested and results is conclusive ..and according to you what is window period for hiv testing ....after how many days blood test can detect....plz
After how long your first symptom started after the exposure?
I went in for a regular check up and they offered the rapid test. I cursed at the nurse when she drew blood yelled P U T A and she was like oh no. I'm not that. So we start joking around and teaching her bad words in Spanish as she is doing the rapid test. (Since I'm starting a new relationship) just wanted to know before being with the dude. And yeah. After a couple of laughs
She breaks out
*Ok, the result are ready, 1 dot means negative 2 dots mean negative*
From my point of view i only saw 1 dot them she pushes it forward and i just lost it for like 3 minutes.
Thank you for sharing. You are braving and helping people.
Firstly I just want to say how brave you are but I’m also shocked this disease is still spreading. Thank goodness it’s not the 80S otherwise you may not be here. When I was at university in the late 90s I worried when I got flu symptoms and a weird rash. Obviously turned out to be nothing. However I do have Multiple Sclerosis now and often get the same rash so must be virus related?
wow im so proud of u.
Thank you for the information, take care and God bless you.
Nice video man VERY brave...you kinda remind me of David spade when he was younger
Amazing! Is fantastic how you can turn all stigma into motivation! God bless you! Do you have Instagram?
Yes! It should be in the description box!
What made you get tested?
I had a painless sore in my rectum about 3 months ago and after that I had flue like symptoms, then I was fine until 6 t0 8 weeks, then I got lower back pain that radiates down both legs and I have fever and swollen lymph nodes, is this syphilis or hiv?
You should get tested the only way to know
@@jazminpolanco3187 I did. I took an hiv
lab test after 3 months. It turned out negative. But I still have doubts. I have symptoms.
These are normal don’t worry, probably you masturbate too much or you go to cold with less clothes
Oh my God you're beautiful ❤
Fantastic video, thank you for sharing your story :)
Here is additional Information and updates on [1] the pending sterilizing HIV cure therapy, [2] the pending HIV functional cure therapy as well as [3] Moderna's pending combined *mRNA vaccine* :
Try to Change your lifestyle
To organize daily exercises for the neck and spine, maybe some exercises for relaxation and meditation or yoga
Take only mineral water with magnesium content or content that will help you feel better on the advice of your doctor is how important it is to choose the type of mineral water one or more drinks daily and the function of the body. If you are a smoker try to stop smoking if you put many spoons of sugar in coffee or tea try to reduce to one spoon of sugar or none it is as important for your future life. Do not eat foods that have many calories or that harm the body but only healthy foods such as fruits, vegetables, mushrooms and fish .. .

And i have a chest rash. But my doctor told me it was just yeast.

I couldn't eat, had diarrhea, sleeping 14-16 hours straight through and about a week in i felt great and then the next day my throat broke out with the worst infection ever

Please I need your help I have done the rapid test was negative and they ask me to do another test which I do but I don't understand why please help
It could possibly be because of the window period in which tests can accurately detect HIV antibodies! Maybe wait a few days and take another one. As I do not know your doctor I cannot be completely certain though

Trying to stay positive. Best wishes bruh

If you haven't started treatment then you most likely have a high viral load. Be careful of others. You can easily give it to someone.
