Hi, Back in 2020 I was tested for HIV and I was HIV negative. I only got tested for the nasty migraines I was getting. Dr said Have you ever been tested for HIV? I said no why? Well she said your a married woman and have severe migraines, and migraines usually are a sign of HIV. I was scared as f•••! Took my blood sent it too the lab and in 2 weeks I got my results and thank god I was HIV negative🥰❤️ My husband told me babe if u ever had HIV I wouldn’t love you any less😭 we would always be together! 16 years of marriage and 2 boys later! Now that’s true love❤️ Thanks for sharing your story and I hope that your doing ok? God Bless and stay safe from Covid-19!

Very common chronic migraines in women for a doctor to do a work up for Multiple Sclerosis from the lesions on the brain. Just responding to the one lady that mentioned migraines. God Bless you Matt and stay strong!
I took a negative HIV test and got the results in 20 minutes last year. Why did you have to wait for two weeks in 2020?

You know that is the worst? I hadnot sex, i touched a vagine with mi finger. That is bad luck :( .
For you to get it the very 1st time having unprotected sex with that one guy, he must've been VERY sick and had a super high viral load because it doesn't spread that easy
It depends on the sexual act. Receptive anal sex hiv transmission occurs approx. 1 out of 72 times. That could be the first, the 18th, or the 72nd. Or his partner could have been recently exposed. He told him he was “clean” and he may have believed he was. During stage one of the virus, HIV is rapidly replicating and thus, leading to more HIV in the body. The person may not even experience symptoms during this phase of transmission and if they do it may be a light headache or a cough. At this point, the person is highly contagious and more likely to spread the virus. Just because a person doesn’t appear sick does not mean they do not have HIV.
Ive had unprotected sex twice .the first time was2 years ago and last time was march 15 this year. Ive had no issues symptom wise not flu like symptoms nothing. I hope im all good and ill never be reckless like that again. Its bad to be Young and naive
And many of the times, people live with the disease for decades without symptoms.
hiv symptoms take 2-7 years to show, after 7 years you will almost have aids.
I was tested for hiv when i had tiredness for no reason and poor sleep

This could happen to absolutely ANYONE irrespective of gender, race or sexuality, a virus doesn't discriminate whatsoever. You did NOTHING wrong and have since done everything right in your attitude since your diagnosis. You, of course, know all these things but I just wanted to reiterate and show my support. I think you're fantastic, how eloquently you speak and educate and I hope I haven't come across as patronising. My intention was to elevate what you already know - you're a warrior 👍. So happy you have the support system you have too 😀
Thank you Matt and your a beautiful man also glad you educated yourself about the disease HIV & Aids, yes we were all ignorant in the beginning, and after new medications out there gay men can live a longer, happy , productive life with these new medications. As an old timer now these days I lived negative existence from the disease for fear at first and after educating myself and with the help of an honest loving partners it hasn't stopped me from dating positive men who take care themselves. Honestly, if I'd feel I had met my soul mate it wouldn't have been a problem making our relationship long term. Peace.🥰
In 2020, there's no reason not to remain vigilant about your own health, so good luck.

How do they know how many people have it and don't know? Are you saying that the doctors or government know and not telling people? Otherwise how would they know over 6000 has it and not know? Make it make sense to me. And why do people comment that they are negative on everyone who does these types of videos?

If both parties are negative for HIV, then it can't be transmitted. There is still a risk from other STI's and/or HIV as they can be asymptomatic

Unprotected sex, in my case. I was taking PrEP but got careless and didn't take the pills everyday, as I should.

2.7% of people with HIV do not know how they got it.
Some people may have engaged in multiple risk areas or do not wish to disclose how they contracted HIV.

After exposure when you tested for HIV?
For me it was roughly two to three months after exposure
@@meandhiv but you had symptoms two-three weeks later. Wow took three months to find positive. Yet you probably had sex in between that time and transmitted it to others.

@@kingslong5937 of course. For me I had kind of flu-like symptoms; muscle aches, headache, nausea, night sweats, and fever. I also ended up with a rash down my arm
