Her having a baby with a married man speaks of both of their integrity. Didn't she think if he did that to his wife he would be capable of doing terrible things to her also. Both of them were living in a way where things could come back to hurt them also.
I'm not saying what the doctor did is/was right. He was wronger than two left shoes. But she also needs to take accountability for her part in the situation. She committed adultery in her own marriage and was the co-conspirator in his marriage. GOD isn't/wasn't pleased w/either one of them. I'm glad the doctor's appeal was denied....
I worked in the OR and the medical clinic, The Hamilton Medical Group, Dr Schmidt and Janice worked. I assisted him on a couple of procedures he brought to the OR and filled in for Janice in the office once when she was out. Everyone knew of their affair and we all thought Dr Schmidt was an asshole and he just looked evil. No one wanted to work with him!
If the woman had just made ONE morally sound decision. She never would've put her and her family in danger. That is to not commit adultery. Which, is a sin.
Even worse.....my bff's ex injected his 9 month old son with HIV to get out of child support. He was a phlebotomist at Barnes Hospital and he kept vials of blood in their fridge at home, claiming he worked undercover for the CIA. He was military so she believed him. She adored him and he treated her like crap. He would tell anyone who listened, that he could kill someone and it would never be known he was responsible. He hadn't seen or spoke to the baby's mother again after that fateful day, and 8 years later, when they couldn't figure out why the boy was so darn sick all the time, the doc ordered an HIV screen and it came back +. At 9 months old, he was admitted to the hospital for asthma. His dad went to visit him and oddly, he was carrying his lab coat over his arm. He convinced the boy's mother to take a break while he was there to visit, assuring her he wouldn't leave until she came back. When she returned, the baby was screaming and crying, developed a rash and a host of other symptoms one would have if given incompatible blood. They couldn't figure out what was wrong because the child did not get blood. He was in poor health for several years and had a multitude of tests, but couldn't get a diagnosis. His doctor literally dreamt about the baby and HIV, and upon awakening, he called and ordered an HIV screen which came back positive. Then obviously realized that had to be the problem, recalling the episode he'd had several years earlier, when he had an episode with symptoms of incompatible blood, and his dad was the only one in the room with him when he had that episode. Then his ex remembered how he claimed he could kill and no one would ever know it was him. We all went out one evening, and I was talking about my child, and Brian told us he had a little boy that he never saw because the child had a terminal illness, would likely die before he was five, and it was too darn painful for him to see the boy. This was 2-3 years before the boy was finally tested for HIV. And, to this very day, he continues to deny it. He did an interview with 20/20 and claimed he hadn't seen anything that said the boy really was HIV+ and the ex framed him because she was pissed and jealous that he married someone else. The WORST case of narcissism I've ever witnessed!! Was convicted and sentenced (1999) to life in prison with possibility of parole in 2011. Has been denied twice, and his third hearing is in a few weeks.
She’s not responsible for the crime committed against her by the doctor. You’re terrible for thinking that. If he shot and killed her, would she be responsible for being murdered by him? Wtf is wrong w your logic. Why are you victim blaming? GTFO
I feel bad for her is the only thing you should have said. It doesn’t matter if she cheated. Trying to kill someone and violating your Hippocrates oath is unthinkable. Cheating is not illegal, but trying to kill someone is.

So what? That doesn’t give the doctor the right to commit attempted murder! There is something intrinsically wrong with you if you think cheating (which the doctor was engaging in as well) justifies, excuses or lessens the blow of attempted murder.

No, it wouldn’t have happened if Dr. Shcmidt hadn’t been a murderous, possessive sociopath. He was clearly unstable and if he didn’t do it to her he would have done it to someone else who made him angry.

Regardless of her cheating and leaving her husband for this married man no one deserves this. He is an extremely dangerous and evil person and it honestly makes me wonder has he ever done this to any of his other patients. Prayers for her strength and I hope she lives a very long and happy life
