- I think this is the best guitar I have ever owned, and let me tell you I have tried many. Highly recommend for the acoustic guitar player!
This is also my first "studio" type video using a condenser mic, interface and movie maker. I think the quality is still a bit rough, but it's definitely a step up from my lower quality phone videos.

I rented a guitar from Long and McQuade (Taylor 314ce) this month as I want to try and play again (used to play as a teenager but switched to piano as my main instrument). It's still a bit discouraging but I am very slowly improving. Having said that I have my eye on the 2016 cutaway and standard Songwriter.
They have a Lt Ed. at my local L&M which I will try and play tomorrow as all the L&M's are now open so I can actually test drive one. Also luckily, another L&M in my area are able to rent the 2016 cutaway so I may just do that again in June before committing. I so can't wait...picking it up Wednesday. I truly appreciate your video as I have been doing as much research as I can on the Songwriter so I thank you. Amazing sound!!

Do you know the differences between the 2016 and the Studio?? I've been trying to compare the specs but to me they are the exact same apart from the name. Weird
@@Kollar-J Well for a guy that's gonna start up again I can't justify $5200....lol. Even $2899 plus tax is pretty steep but I can consider that an investment, I truly can't wait because this Taylor is definitely discouraging me.
@@Kollar-J May I ask when you bought yours?? I am on L&M's website and I don't see any Songwriter's for $2500. Cheapest I have seen is $2799 plus tax and that's a 2016 version (not a Studio version). Thanks for your time and advice.
@@Kollar-J That's awesome. I have been studying all the prices during Gibson month which actually finished May 17th and even now this week the prices haven't changed. The only thing that's changed is 0% financing. You totally lucked out with that price! Congrats!!
Just don't pick the L&McQuade special Adirondack Spruce editions! They all suck thats why you see so many in the GearHunter.ca for sale because no one likes those.

I have owned my Songwriter Deluxe since 2006 and wouldn't trade it for any other axe on the market.
I stole one of these off e-bay a couple of years ago for £1000 and it is now my main stage guitar.
I have had one for 20 years and I love it!
Is it too small? Like I don’t like small guitars im used to full size Dreadnoughts im interested but I kinda see it too small idk

@@LoneWolf-cv6pl it is not actually you can look at it in a video comparison and you’ll see it is not a baby guitar but the body is a little bit smaller so the player can be more comfortable playing it I bought one and they are amazing!
