I was fortunate enough to see them on the Time's Up tour twice back in 1990 and 1991. I was front row center stage the first time. To this day it was one of the best concerts I've ever been to in my life. New Jack Theme was one of the best opening songs I've ever heard played live.
If you have the opportunity to see these guys today, they STILL bring it each and every night.
Hi Pimp! The whole Band was and still is Tight. They influenced so many bands, Nirvana and Pearl Jam to mention a couple who attended many of their gigs.
I agree. They are at the peak of their powers here. Although I caught them in Sept of '09 and they sounded better than they have in 20 years.
They won a Grammy for this song!
John Counts hear the lyrics u understand why this badass song it has powerful messages talking about a powerful druglord

I wonder if pearl jam or nirvana liked these guys?
+Kaliye Palata Yes actually both did. Pearl Jam in particular.
+Eclectic1970 But how did you find out?
+Kaliye Palata Eddie spoke a lot about them in early Pearl Jam interviews how they would travel to a few venues to see them. Back when he had a twitter account he tweeted the first video I ever post. Open Letter to a Landlord.
+Eclectic1970 I wonder what he thought of Vernon
