It's just Rudy showing off his skills, reminding us all that he's a great player. Played his ex well, this dude.
That was Steve teasing his ex-band that kicked him out
Anyone hear the guitar break a little at 0:27? Oof
just as kmac, he sometimes has to remember us that he is actually good
This comment has the highest likes on this entire section?? Thanks Rudy, you're the player.
@@aliveinatlantis8304 Hey dude how's it going?
Hi everyone! I’m the stunt double who was thrown off Rudy’s roof! It was super cool hanging with you last week bro, Rudy. Thanks for letting me be a part of this video.
And I am the guitar student he is talking to.
Haha I didn't even see that the first time
Thanks for the help, hope the shoulders better!
@@GitarrenTobi and I am the guitar the student is talking to
Hey bro i was actually the air you guys were breathing i did a good job keeping yall alive huh? Anyways i hope we can have a couple of beers if yall are up to it someday!
I once had a prodigy as a student. In our first session he could do finger exercises that would take others at least a month to master. After a month I don't have anything else to teach him. And now he's way better than me. Something that I'm kinda proud of.
A month to master? Good one 😃😃
something tells me you weren't that good to begin with
Why are you proud that he is naturally inclined to a certain trade and skilled in that area?
@@cushpnk because he was lucky to have him and that he encouraged him to learn guitar
Not buying it... I´m calling bullshit at least in your time frames. Nobody develops finger dexterity in one month. Oh and you also taught "everything" you knew in one month also? Pffff...
This is actually why I don't take guitar lessons anymore.
Always something new to learn
Same. But ı just be better. There is hard to find master teacher. Thats why ı start classical music compose, music tehory. I am not a musician anymore, ı am just a composer now.

It’s apparently a running joke on this channel, lol, I asked about it and he told me 🤣
It's not a running joke. We truly hate Ruby's content and his playing as a whole.

I skipped all your classes. Clearly you can tell by my videos
I love the insecurity in his smile at finally being better than the student at something, looks like the Grinch’s evil smile
Omg yes
Good thing about metal is that you can basically message your favorite musician and ask for a video lesson. I was pretty blown away by the fact I got to play with my favorite guitarist. It is cool a lot of them will add fans and just act like regular fb friends.
Anyway that is my diary entry for almost nobody today.
I dont remember that lesson bro
Who did you message? Don't leave us hanging dude

Lmao all the people talking about this being a guitar skill flex I'm just dying that you edited yourself falling by the window and the effect actually looks good. Quality vid!
It wasn’t an effect

This is such a real thing. After playing for decades, you forget how quickly new players can learn, and it’s kinda scary sometimes.
At the end of the day you're just moving your fingers with good dexterity. A lot of the people who take a decade to get good paced themselves too slowly on the material they practiced or took too many breaks. I'm not amazing, but I got better than most of the guitarists I know in a fraction of the time because I jumped right into prog and math off the bat and would practice riffs that were way over my head for months.
Learning green day for 5 years will never prepare you to play Guthrie Govan riffs
@@StreetForged Ive played most of my life and I’m glad for it because I decided to start learning stuff that was way too hard around 15 or so but it made me into the player I am. I tell people all the time, pick something super hard to learn, it teaches so much more patience. I attribute my patience in other aspects of my life to practice, it was worth it.
@@ryanlyle9201 absolutely, the only way to grow is through failure. Especially in the case of guitar, a lot of bad habits can go unaddressed for years because easier pieces of music don't push you to the limit of what's possible.
It took me a while to get economy of motion down and to find out that all of my guitars had really bad action. The first few songs I learned were by Tool and while they're not extremely simple, they were too slow paced to highlight the aforementioned issues in my playing, which became very apparent when I moved on to more complex riffs that required advanced chord shapes and moving all over the board quickly.
It's too bad that it's so hard to find good sources of information that address all the important things to be mindful of in technique and guitar setup. I think a lot of people quit before they've given it a good shot because their guitar setup is bad and they don't have a good sense of direction or feeling of progression.
0:47 that expression tho🤣

When your friend told you they don't learn anything but they got A
At my first guitar lesson I played a bunch of Metallica riffs to show my teacher what I could play so far.
He replied by asking me what I wanted him to teach me and at the time I thought he meant I was really good already.
I later found out that he was a blues player and probably was asking why I came to him with my stupid metal riffs.
How it actually happened (to me): "Can you play a scale?" *I play a minor scale* "Can you play that in any other positions?" - Me: 😬

Let me tell you my story.
We had our math teacher, nothing special just normal everyday teacher who just happens to teach math .
One day our school intruduces this new guy who basically was someone who could play guitar then we were told that we could take guitar classes from him. Before any students even had a chance to take classes from him,our math teacher reveals that he can play guitar. Basically our math teacher was apprantly extremely good at playing guitar, he was in a band and he also revealed that he has 2 years of guitar teaching experience😂😂😂 .So fast forward to few weeks the new dude didnt got to teach any guitar lessons but he was replaced as a teacher and all the students took classes from our math teacher myself included. And I shit you not, the new dude literally joined classes with us to learn from our math teacher because he was just that dam n good 😂😂😂. Still to this day I haven't seen anyone play guitar better than him with my own eyes
Good math teachers figure things out, especially music because it’s basically a form of counting
he plays guitar well, teaches well, but not a great sky diver...

I wasn't quite there but it was close by the time I went for formal lessons I had figured most stuff out on my own. My guitar teacher was like omg a student with talent!! YOU I can teach. Ended up just jamming with him every Thursday.
This guy kinda dabbles in guitar.
I swear I had a guitar teacher who saw my massive improvement from week to week and intentionally started trying to slow me down. He would say things like "...whoa....that's a little complex for what I asked you to do....all I wanted was a simple improv over a mild 12 bar blues. When did you learn all the inversions?" or some shit like that. Then he would see my thumb come up over the neck and tell me to keep it in the center of the neck....no. You gotta go friend. I am not altering what feels right just to satisfy your "course"
