I probably won't buy the Pocket 3, because someone did a comparison of the 2 cameras, and said there wasn't all that much difference between the two of them. They also said that some features of the Pocket 2 were better than Pocket 3, and vice versa. I'm happy with the Pocket 2 for what I want to do with it. Today , after 1 year of Pocket 2 ownership , i discovered a lot of gimmicks . A great tool for vlogging , for documenting nice places in your town , has great microphones and also great features. Small problems appear when you have low light or too much light but nothing to worry if you buy a good ND Filter . Can't wait for Pocket 3 , i will definetely buy it . Also , congrats for all your work . I am watching your videos from Romania .

We just bought the Pocket 2 knowing the Pocket 3 is coming out. I like that there are plenty of tutorials on the 2 and we needed it right away to improve our YT video's.

I bought a Pocket 2 just before a recent roadtrip and loved using it alongside my GoPro 10, which I only bought at the end of last year I feel I got much better shots of scenery with this than I did with the GoPro and thatbis down to you. I made mistakes and so I come back and watch these tutorials over and over and one day I, too, will create amazing videos. Thank you In answer to your question at the end, I think the only real reason for a beginner like me to upgrade would be if if they introduced an interchangeable battery. But the battery life with this one is good, and a power bank a useful tool.

Otto yes I would by the pocket 3 I have 4 GoPros they are good for action but in low light you can’t use the stabilizer, I have bought pocket 1 and enjoying using it and know thinking of getting pocket 2 specially after watching all your instructional videos great job. I wished we had this cameras when I was Filming Weddings and other events 30 years ago
Thanks for refreshing the gimbal modes. I would only replace my pocket 2 with 3 if it comes with a slightly bigger screen somehow. Can't think of anything else which could be improved upon the pocket 2.

I love this little pocket. But I have to say changing modes has been nothing but a big pain in my ass. And without being able to change the modes it likes to go into a certain mode where I can't move the gimbal. Yesterday I went into the settings to change the game-mode and the setting was actually blacked out. I bought mine on Amazon as a refurb so I didn't get directions with it. So I'm stuck watching tutorials. By the way thank you so much for posting yours as it has been a great help
are you sure you are using the correct button? If that is not working, you can swipe up on the screen and change the mode there as well. What you said about the Gopro 11 happens when there is not enough light, the electronic stabilization doesn't work too well and will give you what I call "vibration glitch effect"
@@OttoJulian_ I am. It works some of the time. Other times even when Record is off.it just will not change and then it does. But ALL my buttons are functioning. I know most of the time when something's not working it is human error. That's why I'm trying to figure this out. There's been days where I was filming and then my joystick won't allow me to move the camera up down left right. It's because something got bumped and I changed my gimbal mode. So I push the gimbal mode button to put it back and it just will not activate anything. So I have to go into the settings and physically change it. Think I definitely need some more time with this guy.

We shoot almost all footage with the Pocket 2 and love it. We feel like it is the best and most discreet camera. We would most likely buy a Pocket 3 if it advances the 2. Great tutorial!

I would get a Pocket 3 IF it has a bigger screen and the ability to swap batteries internally like a GoPro. I need to make a Pocket 2 review video going over the things I like about it and the things that need to be improved.
Great video. I've definitely been a little confused on the gimbal modes. I knew what they did, but didn't really know when to use what. The only other thing I'd have liked to see you mention is fast vs slow follow, but not a huge deal. And as far as the Pocket 3, it would depend on the features. If I could do 4k at 240fps, you bet your sweet ass I'd get it! If it's just more of the same with slightly better hardware and software, meh. Probably just wait for the Pocket 4, or whatever they're calling it at that point, since they've already changed the name once

Hi thanks for your feedback. Continuos will keep the auto focus automatic all the time, single will wait for you to select what you want to focus by tapping on the subject on the screen. Single is like a manual focus so it will not shift if you move away or toward the subject

It’s not so precise but in theory you could say that it’s doing that. If those people getting closer to you are not very far apart they will most likely be in focus. The transition is not so obvious as when you are using a regular camera
I've just bought the Pocket 2 creator combo secondhand as a stop gap to a more expensive system. I think when I move to doing more ground filming I'll first be looking at Insta x3 and DJI mic setup before moving to a more expensive system. Unless the pocket 3 is a massive upgrade at a realistic price.
@@OttoJulian_ I paid £280 for the combo yesterday. It was a bit dirty so I've cleaned it up. It also had two iPhone adapters instead of a usbC phone adapter so I've ordered one from amazon for £9.99. I may return it because I've found you can connect wirelessly to the phone with the all in one stick. I've also ordered some ND filters at £41.19 so I can shoot in pro mode at 25 fps and 1/50 shutter speed without over exposing the sky. I'm still learning how to use it and found your tutorials very helpful, they have info that DJI have missed. Thanks!

Great tutorial. I like my Pocket 2 - I wish it would show the mode you are in on the screen (can you do this already?) To upgrade a bigger sensor definitely - and a bigger display if it didn't change the form factor too much...not easy. Some software updates to the Pocket 2 would be nice in the meantime. Keep up the good work.

I was hoping Lock mode would be the opposite of what it is. As in, the camera ignores the gimbal and locks in place relative to the camera itself, just like a normal DSLR camera would. This way you can turn it upside down or do wild movements and it won't try to figure out what you're doing or try to be smooth about everything. It would be nice to not have to switch cameras when I need a more "handheld" look.

Pocket 2 is a great companion for traveling and vlogging, although I wouldn't consider it an action camera. I had great results with the new gopro hero 10, except with the stabilization during low light scenarios. I have a video comparing both of them if you want more info about it
Hii, do you think it's still worth it to buy dji pocket 2 right now? i will be using it in September :) so unless the p3 comes out before that I have no choice XD, and there is no price drop in my country so it's still around the same price even more expensive (tax law in my country XD), so would you still recommend it?
Did you watch my video for the Pocket 2 frame rates? I think for the most part if you are not an advanced user I would stick with auto settings and shoot 24 fps and some videos at 60 if you plan to slow down the footage.
I'd buy a Pocket 3 if they fixed some of the limitations with the Pocket 2 (no active tracking @4k 60, etc..), and then offered something additional, like 4k 120
I have a pocket 1 and rarely use it. I need a larger screen. If DJI released one with a larger screen, I would consider buying it. I wish they would use a flip screen something like a Camcorder has say a 2” screen. It would not be as portable, but more useable for an old fart like me.
Yeah a bigger screen would be great! I do also think it's way too small, it takes some time to get used to and even then, it's hard to see what you are recording there (barely gives you an idea of what's going on). Thanks for your comment

Great video. I thought I should use FPV mode for outdoor scenic. Follow mode is only for a person movement.

I buy all dji pocket, so definetely would buy any new dji pocket. Pocket 3 needs bigger sensor for better low light performance.

I was hoping Lock mode would be the opposite of what it is. As in, the camera ignores the gimbal and locks in place relative to the camera itself, just like a normal DSLR camera would. This way you can turn it upside down or do wild movements and it won't try to figure out what you're doing or try to be smooth about everything. It would be nice to not have to switch cameras when I need a more "handheld" look.

Do you color correct or do something to the videos post recording? If so, can you do a tutorial on that for us? It would be incredibly helpful. Pocket 2 is a great companion for traveling and vlogging, although I wouldn't consider it an action camera. I had great results with the new gopro hero 10, except with the stabilization during low light scenarios. I have a video comparing both of them if you want more info about it

Hii, do you think it's still worth it to buy dji pocket 2 right now? i will be using it in September :) so unless the p3 comes out before that I have no choice XD, and there is no price drop in my country so it's still around the same price even more expensive (tax law in my country XD), so would you still recommend it?
yes, it is still a nice pocket camera and I still enjoy using it. The new one will most likely come out around November.

I have minimum knowledge on this camera have watched your videos, going to Disney want to film on rides and parades wht setting should I set it too.
Did you watch my video for the Pocket 2 frame rates? I think for the most part if you are not an advanced user I would stick with auto settings and shoot 24 fps and some videos at 60 if you plan to slow down the footage.

My pocket 2 is not really old - so I wouldn't buy the next generation, but when I need a new I would always bue a DJI. :)

I have a pocket 1 and rarely use it. I need a larger screen. If DJI released one with a larger screen, I would consider buying it. I wish they would use a flip screen something like a Camcorder has say a 2” screen. It would not be as portable, but more useable for an old fart like me.
Yeah a bigger screen would be great! I do also think it's way too small, it takes some time to get used to and even then, it's hard to see what you are recording there (barely gives you an idea of what's going on). Thanks for your comment
