Petejeans Chickabou and Dubbing Streamer

Petejean is known for his CDC flies and his clip system. However he also uses the clips to tie streamers as well. I saw him tie a streamer using a compound dubbing loop made with dubbing and mini marabou feathers. I just had to give it a try, and Im going to be honest, I think it's my new favorite streamer. It reminds me a lot of the brahma bugger, or soft hackle bugger, but it's easier to tie and I think comes out nicer. Here is a video of me tying the brahma bugger. - • the BETTER Wooly Bugge...
As you can see, they are very similar, but I do think this fly is a bit easier and has even better movement and profile.
Basically this is a soft hackle bugger. The marabou feathers move so wonderfully in the water, it's perfect for a slow moving stream or still water application. Every little tap or twitch of the line will make this flow so well in the water enticing fish even after you stop stripping it. Wooly buggers are the most popular streamer ever created I believe, and honestly these are just as easy and I think will work better in many situations.
