a lot of things that we think are Chinese, by the way, are of Vietnamese origin.
new year, lunar calendar, Chinese horoscope, wet rice cultivation, cotton, silk, chopsticks, house with curved roof. paper, gunpowder, cannon, dragon, junks ...are of Vietnamese origin .
in the past vietnam is 10 times bigger than now
their ancient writing dates back to over 12,000 years ago. it is the oldest civilization in existence.
over 2,500 years ago, they went to polynesia, australia, guinea, hawaii, and all of the southern china sea.
“han” china has only known the sea for less than 2250 years.

amazing video. just sad looking at the comment section, so much ignorance about vietnam. vietnam has been independent for over a millennium before the french invaded us and made the whole culture into a bit of a mess. this is chinese influence in vietnam, same as in korea and japan. the influence can differ depending on the region and the time period it got in contact with china. if you understand a bit about east asian culture, you can easily spot the differences in the techniques and style using for these structures compared to china, korea and japan. if you go to korea or japan, do you say that they belonged to china or they were copy cat of china? please have some respect.

as the history culture in last time, the emperor not allow the local king built same size palace as his one, even small one to be built should approved first by centre emperor, otherwise , it will get trouble back to kingself. but if you have seen this one have already in vietnam , usually it means good relation between king and emperor.

Or less Chinese? This is Korean-style cultural thievery lmao. Go claim something indigenous to Vietnam and stop trying to lay claim to another culture’s achievements.
