Kwan should be in the MVP conversation. Batting nearly .400 with more 3 hit games than no hit games is crazy! Hes easily the best leadoff hitter in the league!
@@exofiber5509 what are his numbers? He has more HRs so he's better? I love Gunner, he's one of my favorite players in the league but right now Kwan is a better hitter!

Our bullpen is more than the three headed monster too. I usually don't worry whenever Sandlin or Barlow come in. Sandlin is always cleaning up messes and under pressure situations. What a special season so far. GO TRIBE
Exactly. The M's always make it difficult for us. Hosey coming back AND will still need Kwan to be the .400 hitter he has been all season. What a rotation the Mariners have.
I hadn't heard of it until recently, but the brilliant idea of having an "opener" relief pitcher start the first inning or so seems right up the Guardians analytical mentality. Makes me think of things Francona did in 2016 with intentionally going to his bullpen in the 2nd or 3rd inning of the playoffs because Miller and others could handle that many innings.
Great video! I'm a Guardians fan, and would like to add a couple of points. Replacing Tito with Vogt was HUGE. Tito was overrated, had no idea how to manage pitchers (see 2016 WS), and was no longer motivating these guys. Vogt has brought renewed enthusiasm and knows how to handle pitchers. Bringing back Austing Hedges was huge. It's weird, but he's like a player/coach that they all love, and it's a factor. And finally, Jose Ramirez's value is immeasurable. He's SO much more than his statistics, and it inspires and motivates EVERYONE. Go back and watch the game from a week ago where he stole home from 2B. The whole play was set up by him beating out a chopper in the 1st inning. He was in the 3B head when he chopped the same ball to him later, and he didn't throw to 1st. Then Jose stole 2B. Then Jose stole the winning run from 2B. It's incredible. Jose is a 7-tool player. He hits for average, hits for power, great defender, throws well, runs the bases extremely well, he has a great baseball mind in the moment, and he has incredible passion. He's everything Cleveland fans could ever want from a player wearing this city on their chest. We love him. Go Guardians.
I’m happy the guardians are doing well but it’s horrible how they got the number 1 pick while my royals have been plowed by the draft lottery for 3 years in a row 😥😥
Dude shut the fuck up. Tito was a phenomenal manager and the only reason we have half of the success we do this season is because he left a phenomenal foundation for vogt to build off of. I fucking hate fans who immediately shit on guys right when they're gone. Tito has done more to help Cleveland baseball than any one person has in the 21st century, period. Watch your mouth.
I think two years ago they were younger than all major league teams and the AAA minor leagues teams. I thought they would improve but didn't think they would be this good so far this year.
Sam Hentges may be the best bullpen arm thats not Clase. Has some Andrew Miller in him. And huge shoutout to Austin Hedges. Backup catcher who this team loves and feeds off of. Good video. Go Guards
The manager Stephen Vogt has done a sensational job to this point. A 1st year manager and succeeding a Hall of Fame manager Terry Francona, you cannot praise what this guy has done enough. As a Rays fan, I'm rather jealous of the Guardians right now.😆
As a long-time Indians/Guardians fan since 1995, I am enjoying this 2024 team. Hopefully, Pres, of Baseball Operations, Chris Antonetti and GM Mike Chernoff, will acquire a #3 or #4 starter and a better hitting SS via a trade before the July 31st Trade Deadline..... The Guardians cannot rely on the bullpen for the rest of the season because, the overworked bullpen will probably blow some close 1 or 2 run games.
I don't know what the record currently is but I'll be whatever the reliever record for strikeouts per 9 innings for a career and a season will continue to be broken.
I’m only 5 minutes into this video but one note about the pitching is we lost our best starter (biebs) and our best reliever (Stephan) but the team is still cooking because the right guys are in the right places. Last year Gaddis started but would lose his stuff through the game so him being a 7th or 8th inning guy allows him to bring his best stuff whenever he comes in and not worry about his stamina. Another thing to note is that Gavin Williams hasn’t even pitched yet and if healthy will probably be our number 2 guy, Sticks also hasn’t really been himself and honestly probably needs surgery, Cookie has also been up and down. The tribes playoff rotation is going to be a lot better than what we’re seeing right now and I’m really excited about the rest of the year.
Naylor is starting to come back a bit in my opinion, as he has been willing to shoot the ball to the opposite field against the (less extreme) shift that's allowed now. Starting pitching has been a high wire act all year that I fear is coming a bit undone. Bibee is getting there, but still tends to make one or two mistakes that unfortunately get hit out of the park (11 strikeouts the other day, but 4 runs, one of course on the 3-run homer). Logan Allen has been impressive, but I'm still scared with every one of his pitches that they're going to take it yard...a bit like Josh Tomlin in 2016. He could be lights out, or give up two or three homers. The offense is definitely improved, but they can't be expected to score 4 or 5 runs as people like Fry come a bit back down to earth. The starting pitching will need to keep the other team to one or two runs at times to give the offense a chance when they sputter.
@@grantabeyta9054 still a lot of similarities tho. But the 2021 Giants were a a beautiful old meteor. Majestic but bound to crash and not last. Guardians have the chance to go for it for multiple years if managed well
Royals are a worse team that was expected to be better than the guards this year lol. They'll be lucky to finish .500, and they’re spending more than the guards.
