Love slightly closed to help with the hip turn and room to swing. Classic problem I have is open stance with a dip and poor turn in the backswing followed by backing out in the downswing. Will try the closed stance next time hit the range. Thanks Dan 👍
Great video, do you think there would be a benefit from using both open and closed stance drills. Would it help to improve the correct positions in both back swing and finish?
Christher Lenander it could, but it could also produce the opposite. Everyone swings a bit different, so it might work for you. Go to the range and experiment.
humble advice try waking youre swing less flat ... if one swings on a good plane there is less sway in my experience (as i suffered from the same problem)
Excellent drills Dan. Looking good by the way, youve lost a shed load of weight, right? Dont suppose you want to send me some of your old clothes? lol. Happy new year sir!
This is just superb, I've been looking for "hit irons well but struggle with driver" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Reyuhaffad Underlying Recognition - (search on google ) ? It is a smashing exclusive guide for discovering how to revealing an effortless golf swing technique without the hard work. Ive heard some amazing things about it and my neighbour got excellent success with it.
I've open up my stance a lot and it's helped my ball striking and use this setup out playing, ball flight is straight to slight draw
1:32 i started actually playing like that. Shot a great score.
As usual, another great lesson. Hello from across the pond.
Great bit of advise for someone like me who has a limited hip turn. Another excellent informative video, thanks

You may have done these Dan but how to improve strike would be great - drills etc
So putting left foot back will improve impact and ball compression?

I've been struggling with swaying away from target at the start of backswing. Any good drills?
