Dear Ryan Kurczak, You have done a great job here. The content of the video is of high quality and you have done it in slow motion that even a beginner can understand this concept quite easily especially with regard to Jaimini as it is clouded by controversies mainly because the sutras are written down like a da vinci code type. I wish to tell the world here that videos which have no worthwhile content get extraordinary number of views whereas this video has got less than 10K even after so many years after it has been uploaded. Strange are the ways of those who follow Vedic Astrology.
Thank you Ryan for making it so easy to remember. I have come up with an extension to your idea making it easier still. Start the line at 2 take it to 12, move from 12 to 11 come down to 3, move from 3 to 4 go up to 10. Direction of move is Argala ends in Virodina each time. This way, I will never forget this sequence. Thank you very much Ryan.
Very Calm and Composed emphasize on points ...and talking with slow pace so that mind takes in each thing easily...excellent way to communicate and explain .....just one small suggestion please give some examples in between
Ryan Kurczak what if obstructed planets takes person into different direction which would be helpful as well . suppose person I having exalted Venus placed in 11 house before he was interested in doing music but later he suddenly started learning astrology he is doing pretty well and he have Saturn in 3rd house . Does this means Saturn changed his direction to do. astrology and he is going to get bad result .???
This is a great help, thanks for that! There is something disturbing. at a10th house you said let's consider it lagna and from there in the 2th house stays a planet, than you did not show 12th house as virodhargala, but you sad that 11th house gives Virodargala to 2th house. Why?
+Raja chinna first of all, why are you replying to my comment? If you wanna comment, there is a comment section. Number 2: who are you calling a fake? Who are you challenging? If you are so capable, why don't you make a video and teach others about astrology instead of bringing your negativity to this video and irritating me! Who is going to mint whose money? Number 3: see a psychiatrist. This is not the right forum for you.
It's interesting how checking for Argala from my 10th house, I have two strong Argalas and no Virodhinas, Yet, at 25 years of age, I have never experienced work or career for as much as I have desired it. That area of life has always been an internal struggle of mine. So imagine my surprise... Perhaps my current Saturn Dasha has not allowed for it's activation yet. (-Gemini Ascendant -Jupiter Mars 1st house -Saturn 8th house - Moon Rahu 10th house - Sun Venus Mercury 11th house)
Wendy David 8th house dashas, would not put too much emphasis on work and career, although the chart would need to be assessed as a whole to understand it fully.
Gino Groppi I am considering it but probably not until Spring of 2015. I want to make sure I have my thoughts organized enough. It will probably only be a basic introduction to the techniques, so they can be used practically. If you are following my blog, you'll see the announcement.
I think your videos are very informative. Thanks for putting them up Ryan. One thing I am curious about here though is would you suggest looking for argalas in the varga charts?
silentboom77 I do not look for them in varga charts. However, I've never thought to do that. May be a valid point of research. Keep us updated on what you find.
Hello Ryan! Really appreciate what you are sharing. Clear and concise, and with awareness of the receivers on the other end. Hope to come around to study more thouroughly... Being a Swede I naturally wonder if I should consider argala from the signs the house cups falls in too? Or, that might not come in question, since argala is a Jaimini technique?
Kalindi Priya Yes, you are on the right track. They will be felt in Vimshottari dashas, particularly when the planets are both activated by dasha...yet, there greatest fruits or results typically come in the Jaimini Charanavamsa dasha of the sign or signs in which the argala appears. Being a Swede, we'd love to have you join us in our next Spring 2015 class, there are a few spaces of the 24 left, and it will help work out much of the necessary foundation to help you study more thoroughly.
Hi Ryan, thanks for sharing! I really like your calm tone! My 7th house has Argalas in 8nd house(Mars, which is the lord of my 3th house and 10th house), 10th house(Venus, which is my yoga karaka), 5th house(full moon, which is the lord of my 6th house) I am wondering since I always tend to have trouble in my relationship with others, is that because Mars and Moon(both are kind of malefic since moon is the lord of my 6th house) are forming Argalas for my 7th house? I appreciate it a lot if you could share your insights with me!!!!!!! Thanks!!!!!!!
Hello Ryan, the two nodes of the Moon are not reckoned for Argala. Does it mean that if one of these is posited in the Virodhina houses, viz., 3rd, 12th or 10th position, still they are not reckoned as obstructors as well? Thanks.
Ryan when we see argala from the moon as ascendant, second is Saturn and it is not obstructed since there is no planet in the 12th from virgo. Have I understood correctly
+Animesh Roy (Bob) I have heard that sentiment too. I think its because of the term used, however, if you read BPHS or Jaimini you will see that it can be very good. But usually it denotes what is PINNED to your destiny. That can be bad or good.
Hi Ryan,Thanks for posting this. One question, do we use tropical chart calculations or sidereal, most of my planets move with using tropical. I believe you mentioned in one of your videos that you use tropical system for calculations.
Parveen S There is an interesting debate on this topic. Your own experience will tell you best. Also, research the topic online for other thoughts. But be aware, this topic can get as heated as a religious debate about who's religion is best!
You mention argala from the 10th using the 2nd from 10th as an example. Obstruction would come from the 12th although you mention no obstruction from the 11th. I think that was an honest mistake but could be confusing.
Charlie W Please see the courses listed in the description box for more information on this. Argala is an complex topic, and requires more details than this basic introduction. Those courses are very good.
Thank you, Ryan, for an interesting topic. What happens if the malefic planet placed in the 3rd, 10th or 12th house is exalted? For instance, Mars in Capricorn.
Hi Ryan, I am a little confused. I am Gemini ascendant but my 4th house is in Leo not in Vigo, occupied by Mars (aspected by Saturn) and my 11th house is in Pisces not in Aquarius. So do I take the house cusp or the sign of the house? Please clarify, thank you.
My only Argala is in 2nd House. Venus,Moon,Mercury & Rahu in Gemini 2nd house. Nothing in 4th,10th,11th & 12th houses. My life full of obstruction, nothing is smooth till now. Rahu is the main culprit here ? Am I diverted from my goal because of Rahu ?
***** There is more to a chart than argala. It would be best for you to find an astrologer who can help you decipher your chart. Nothing is caused by just one thing.
Ryan Kurczak Thanks but I already visited more than 10 astrologers in past 10 years. I only wasted lot of money on them and got nothing except more frustration. All astrologers were either cheater or big looser. No one able to predict any thing correctly or accurately in-spite of having the accurate birth time/date. No astrologer gave me proper guidance or advice. They did not even recommend me any gem. They only ask me for thousand of Rupee to make Puja for Graha Shanti(to keep planet make a favor on me). Finally I gave up with these moron astrologer of India. Now,I'm still trying to find what is best for me but sadly no luck yet. Only learnt very very little about Astrology. Which is not enough to predict about anybody or anything... :(
***** In that case, I would avoid astrology and focus on living as effectively as you know how. Or find a mentor who is successful in the way you want to be successful and listen to them. Forget about astrology and astrologers. Don't expect them to serve you when you have found that every experience you've had with them does not work. Pay attention to your experience. That is most important.
Ryan Kurczak Thanks for ur valuable advice! Currently I'm taking my decisions based on my past bitter experiences. I also don't have any good experience in past of Guru/Mentor so I will definitely avoid that. May be all these bitter experience cos of my Karma in my past life. But,in this life I have do something better & different Karma(to get Moksha) so that I will never have to come back in this ugly World again... :(
+Somna7h Gee, with three benefics in 2nd you should be ok, at least, in finances/family etc. Where's surya, sani, guru and kuja? My guess is that they are causing your troubles - which is no great insight. Both my sun and jupiter are fallen and sani basically aspects all other planets! My dashas work against me... So I can relate to your existentialism. I'll wager a guess that mercury in it's sign in 2nd makes you think and talk too much. So depending on your malefics, you are getting yourself in trouble or setting yourself up for trouble etc (otherwise, you should be Quite eloquent etc). Sani's placement is too important as he seems to have quite tangible influence over much else. He aspects my stellium (ne, su, ve, me) in 2nd! He is in swa however (capricorn) and so I cringe at the thought of him debilitated. I think, overall, there are too many techniques. They say they are complimentary but from what I see it makes for a kind of mud. Toooo many variables. Still, experience helps discern subtlety.

Thank you Ryan for posting this video! Now I understand the concept of Argala much better!
Valavan Veeramani Great. I told you I'd get around to this! Just took some time.
Thank you. This is so helpful to my studying of Jaimini Argala technique!

Hello Ryan,
great explanation. Can the argala be looked at from the karakamsha chart and swamsha or is it restricted to the birth lagna? Thank you

If I am understanding correctly, Argala and their Virodhina are based on reflections or mirror images of signs across the horizon.
Hi Ryan , very good video, Are you considering doing a course on Jaimini ? and if so when ?
Gino Groppi I am considering it but probably not until Spring of 2015. I want to make sure I have my thoughts organized enough. It will probably only be a basic introduction to the techniques, so they can be used practically. If you are following my blog, you'll see the announcement.
Ryan, you are not talking about subh argala caused by natural benefics and pap argala by natural malefics.

Hi Ryan ,any inputs on vipreet argala!!
So is there a chart calculator that will calculate Jaimini aspects and Jaimini (chara?) dashas?
नमस्कार ज्योतिषाचार्य जी कैसे हैं आप मैं हिंदी भाषा में लिख रहा हूं मेरी मातृभाषा हिंदी है

Also, are they especially felt in their particular dasas?
Kalindi Priya Yes, you are on the right track. Argala and temporal relationships use the same distances from the bhava analyzed.
I like Jaimini

Not sure what you are asking
Hi sir Can u plz use name with sign of plenets ! That wd be helpful
I thought argala to be inauspicious, damn, thanks for the video

should we consider ketu and rahu as abstractor or not? thx

do we check for argala seperately in navamsha chart?
+Chris Mandy No. Keep it in the main birth chart..
+Ryan Kurczak thanx for replying
Thank you, Ryan, for an interesting topic. What happens if the malefic planet placed in the 3rd, 10th or 12th house is exalted? For instance, Mars in Capricorn.
Peggy Traeg Exalted malefics can work well, they just make you work harder for it, and don't just hand it over, like a benefic would.
Hi Ryan,
This Argala is applicable in Navamsa too??As in a planet in 4th house of D9 can it work as an Argala too....
hardik mishra I've never done that.
What if you have one of the outer, tropical planets in an argala position?
+Marc Jones I do not use outer planets in that way.
+Ryan Kurczak Well then, I'll have to report you to the Gehellheimschaft Gruppen-Schantz!
Don't go by cusps for this. Stick with whole signs.
Ryan Kurczak thank you.
