I have commented on a few of your videos before. I was in the hiring process with my local SO and your videos greatly helped with my interview answers and follow up questions, preparedness for my polygraph, and so forth. I wanted to say, Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I was offered the position of Deputy this past Thursday! Keep up the great work and to anyone that has any doubts, follow these videos, learn from them and apply it to your situation. Good luck everyone.

I appreciate this advice. Thank you. Now my next thing is "interview anxiety"! I can carry a conversation with people (and I've worked in customer service where I've spoken to many people) and yet when it comes to the interview, I feel like I'm rushing through. Or the opposite, I try to take my time, and it feels automatically like I'm rushing when I'm trying not too. Or I'm trying to give a response and I feel like I'm thinking a long time thinking about my answer. Something else I've noticed. I try not to say "um' or anything else (that I am aware of). I have no doubt that I am qualified or I wouldn't be interviewed. Another question, would the same type of interview questions for police officer be different for Probation Officer? Thank you again for this video. Stay safe and Blessed out there. ✝️👮👍

Can you make a video on what agencies are looking for when they ask “do you have any questions for us?” I never know what to say when I hear that during an interview.

Good morning afternoon or evening sir, depending on when you receive this. I recently had an Oral Board Interview and thank you so much for your help in preparing me! You definitely have gotten a Subscriber out of me :)
This specific Oral Board was in Washington State, and was in a very liberal area.
There was an HR guy there who was giving an introduction saying things like "so there's only 2 people that'll be giving the oral board today, so there's no reason to be nervous, and what they're looking for is their next coworker, so try to be as open and relaxed as possible so they can really get to know you" which put me at ease a bit, but then I walked in there and there were like 10 people who were all rudely drilling me with questions for a little over an hour.
The HR guy was super shifty so I was kind of expecting something like this, and when I walked in and saw this I was instantly mad but I managed to change that anger into focus and I think I actually did better than if it would've been the relaxing environment he initially described.
The only question that I was completely unprepared for was "tell us about an interaction you had with a person of a different ethnic background." Which completely came out of left field for me, because I had to come up with more than "oh on the way here at the gas station the cashier was black", because that would not be much of an answer at all. What I went with ended up being something like "there's this guy I used to work with who was an African American gentleman and where we worked we would be in the same office basically all day, and being on a 12 hour shift with someone a couple times / week you really get to know someone, and while I certainly had no racist tendencies before hand, it certainly bridged the gap in my mind as far as treating everyone the same regardless of race or other such protected statuses" to which they gave me a follow-up question of "can you talk about a specific interaction?" And I responded with "This was years ago, but I remember him talking about how he's the only Republican in his family and it was interesting hearing about how today's political climate has effected his family dynamics" which I think was a good answer and it was very on the fly.
How would you have answered that question, and do you think it was a good answer?
They also asked me what I do to destress, and I accidentally answered how I deal with stressful situations instead, not realizing until afterwards that they were actually just asking me what my hobbies are.
I won't know whether or not I passed the oral board until Wednesday, but I'll be letting you know for sure!

Do I get disqualified if I didn't do well in high school or middle school as in behavior or grades?
