All I can say is that it was one of the best weekends of AFL ever played. At times the games became like a movie - full of plot twists, incredible action and drama. Edge of the seat stuff.
Respect to all that went along and helped make the atmosphere.
The only downside is there's only 2 games this weekend!

Gary Rohan. What a game. Not only were his contested/pack marks so clean, he converted them to goals. Jeremy Cameron was sensational. His goal kicking is just- Out of this world. Stewart was incredible in defence. Zac Guthrie (the younger Guthrie) was outstanding. I could name more. It wasn't Geelong's best performance, but they dug deep.
Jeremy Cameron easily BOG kept them in the game in the first half
And will be better for the rest of the finals with a high intensity game like that behind them, especially youngsters like Sam D K. Bad luck Collingwood, what a test for the Cats.

From a Cats suporter, this was game of the season. Both sides fought it out, man on man, and left nothing on the table at the end. Huge respect to Collingwood. What a game of footy.

Probably the greatest game I’ve ever seen live.
When Geelong kicked the first point of the match, Collingwood responded with three consecutive goals and from there, it was mostly Geelong since the nineteen-point defecit and there were a total of eight lead changes and a tie (nine lead changes if you count the matchwinner). I noticed that not many Geelong goals were shown. Both sides kicked very inaccurately early on, particularly Collingwood, which cost them a home Preliminary Final.
FUN FACT: There was an instance where one of the Collingwood fans gave Jeremy Cameron the middle finger. Ah, footy is good. Nearly half of the highlights in this video were in the final quarter.
Geelong, enjoy another week-long break. You earned it. They will be watching the Melbourne versus Brisbane match to see who they face in the Preliminary Final. Either way, a Preliminary Final rematch is guaranteed.
As for Collingwood, they live to fight another week after a rare close loss, but they face Fremantle at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Taylor Adams is gone (injured), but they may not need him. Can Collingwood avoid a straight sets exit? Find out next week on the AFL Finals.

Gotta say I noticed a series of crucial McCreary errors that let a chance go begging or resulted in territory and an eventual goal. And after his miracle game-winning goal a few weeks ago too. Was super frustrating!

Both teams have umpiring decisions go against them. That's just the nature of football. the umpires have to see it in real terms not just slowed down replay on TV

@@scottmcgowan4813 It wasn't only obvious in slow motion, it was obvious in real time just as the umpires would have viewed it. Also, it went both ways but could easily argue it was more detrimental towards the pies. I get more and more frustrated watching this game each year due to the umpires blatant inconsistency. Something needs to be done. How much is it to ask for a fair game of footy?

It’s not going to happen now, but they way the finals were set up there was a chance that to win the flag they were going to have to beat Collingwood in the Qualifying final, Richmond in the Prelim and Melbourne in the Grand final, all at the G. After they finished clear top! As it is, it could still end up being Melbourne and then Collingwood again.

I don't think you can - but if you get the AFL app they have replays for free - about 12 hours later.
Whoever makes these highlights - can they start showing the goals? Every video has a trend of showing a passage of play and then it just ends with the mark in front of goal, then we go to a new passage and just sort of assume they kicked it. Just add the extra 15 seconds of the goal being kicked or missed for us yeah?

Geelong would have not been able to do what they did in the GF last week if we played them like this. Would have been a very different game and result. Consider the Cats lucky
That’s true even when you played your best pressure footy Geelong still won. So the only difference would have been the score line not the result if it was the GF they still would have won with a closer margin. Hell you had 36 point lead earlier in the year and they still beat the Pies by 10.
