    This one of the best and compherhensive video i have ever found on youtube about LG OLED tv's actual function that everyone like to know about.. Great work.. !!

      Thanks so much! I also noticed that reviewers are focusing too much on picture quality (myself included) but TVs these days are so much more than screens that can show high-resolution content. Since feedback is so positive, I will continue on making vides such as these :). Thanks for watching!

    I recently upgraded my entire home theater to 4K...TV, AVR, UHD blue ray player, XBox One X.

      txmoney that’s awesome but why do you need the blue ray player if you could just use the Xbox one x and watch them In 4K from that

    Thanks Darko, this was very helpful. I appreciate the side-note about Samsung removing the Analog output. That really limits connectivity to older home theatre appliances or wired headphones.

  • @harrivayrynen

    This was really nice presentation about features. LG with os3.5 seems to be so much better than our 4 year old Samsung "Smart TV" Where new apps are not coming anymore, only disappearing now and then because support is over from 3rd party app makers.

      Thanks MrJonjett! You can access NAS content without any issue - I have Synology 2-bay NAS and it works perfectly for video, audio and photo content - smooth playback even for UHD HDR content. Perhaps I will show how this is done in my next "hands-on" video :)

    • @JAKOB1977

      yes networks harddisk and so, pley along supprinsingly well, and LG got a good portefolio of supported formats.
      though they lack flac looseless audio music, and also a big cons that LGs own player doesnt are able to read embedded MKV subtitles, only -srt, not -vobsub.
      would also be saluted from here, if they could implement Kodi app in there LG content store, and a content store, there are still quite lacking..

    I have just bought an LG 60UK6200PTA 4K UHD and while I can set the time and get it to show on screen when I press "INFO" button I wonder if there is a way to always have the time showing on the screen? BTW your video is the most informative I have found.

    Thanks for getting me started. I get my LG this Saturday and I can't wait, especially with the features you showed off. Zero to Netflix in one click and that fast? Wowzers.
    I believe the lower res menus are because it needs less processing power and therefore speed is faster. I think 1080p menus are fine for sub 65 inch panels. I'd rather have the speed. Slow TV menus are not fun. My 2010 LG is so frustrating just to switch inputs.
    PS: Is it possible to get a wireless keyboard for this? If so I might do my YouTubing from my sofa from now on.

    Brilliant video Darko, very well laid out and explained, keep up the good work. I’m just about to buy the LG 65-inch C7 OLED over the next couple of weeks so I can get the best possible experience of my new Xbox One X. I’m keen to get the best possible set up (calibration settings etc) and viewing experience when I get the TV. Did you say that you have already covered set up of a B7 / C7 with best gaming settings etc in mind? Thanks

    • @TVguyDarko
      @TVguyDarko  6 лет назад

      Thank you Chas - I am very glad people like this format of videos - I will make it from now on for all new TVs that I review (Philips Android 7.0 overview on the way). There are many questions emerging regarding Xbox One X and I will get a sample of it to try how it works and how should be adjusted. Based on what I've seen, it has just basic settings similar to PS4, so my already published gaming settings for B7 for SDR and HDR should work. You can get them here: payhip.com/b/UrSX and payhip.com/b/9ob3 (settings will be updated if needed once I get Xbox one X).

      TV Calibration with Darko Thank you Darko, I really appreciate the reply. I will definitely check out the PlayStation set up / calibration videos that you have already done and supplied the links to. I’m sure in general these gaming settings will work well with the Xbox One X too. It will be interesting though to see how you get on with the Xbox One X once you manage to get a hold of one. Keep up the good work 👍👍

    • @TVguyDarko

      Definitely you would type it faster than with other remote controls out there, expect for Philips remote controls that have QWERTY keyboard on the back. If you need to input a lot of text, better connect USB keyboard.

    How can i update to 4.0 ? Lg65b7😮😮😮 iam frustraded because so many apps are not available in 3.5. But the tv was so expansive. It should be a option to upragrade at least to 4.0 not?

    • @TVguyDarko
      @TVguyDarko  3 месяца назад

      Unfortunately, you cannot. LG has just this year announced webOS.renew program, but it is available only for 2022 and newer models. Have you tried this "workaround": ruclips.net/video/n4Nl-Yq_DVc/видео.html
      Alternatively, just buy Android TV stick such as Xiaomi Mi TV box and you'll have plenty of apps.

I’m thinking about getting E7V with Dual Triple Tuner and would like to see if it’s worth the money and first of all if that’s what I think it should be in regard to PiP?

    • @jackleadbetter2987
      @jackleadbetter2987 5 лет назад

      With the 2018 models, the SK8000 and up use the "Magic Remote" which gives you the pointer. I know some that don't come with the magic remote have access to pair with the magic remote. (its a bluetooth remote, so no direct line of sight is needed with the tv.)
      Also, while youre using the magic remote, if you click on the directional pad, it disables the pointing feature until you scroll up on the scroll wheel in the center of the directional pad.
      Hope this helps!

    Does LG Oled need to be broken in before cranking it up to vivid? I was told that it should by one person 100 hours and another said 250..

      Hi Kevin! That's actually topic I am currently working on to cover in my next video :). At least 100 hours you should be a bit more careful then usual but if you want to be on the safe side - 250 or 300 hours is also a good value. I personally would never use it in Vivid mode because picture is straight on horrible, but if I would I would do it only after 100+ hours.
