    You really improved so much and learned so much stuff in 2020. Hopefully I start on axel this year and hopefully pass my moves in the field test.

    Your camel spin is so good!! And a little tip on off-ice axels (although yours is already good) is to push through all the way through the h-position instead of restricting your height by swinging the free leg and arms around your body, because this will really help you get more height on ice as well!
    But I just wanted to say that your progress is INSANE in such a short amount of time!! And I just watched your most recent videos and your progress is incredible there too!

      thank you for the tip, but that video is very old and my off ice axel is much bigger now :) and thank you for the support!

    On the axle I have a tip for you to get it a little higher and stronger and looking really really pretty if you compete with it. So I struggled for so long with my axle. I could land every other double jump, but not my axle. But when I did land my axle, it was really pretty. When I did my axle I kept my leg close to my body and had a high follow through. Not a far follow through, but a high one. And that’s what helped me get a lot of time in the air. So I think if you want to get it higher and a stronger jump, I think you should maybe think about these tips. Sorry if this sounds rude I’m honestly just trying to help. But it looks great. Also tip on the double sal, when you go for it, wait. Well it really depends on what takeoff you go from, but if you go from forward, wait to pivot forward. That’s what helped me not have it be swingy. But from backwards, make sure you get enough height and just think, it’s just an axle.

      I don’t need any tips, thank you :) my axel has improved a lot since making this video and my coach and I are happy with the height I get.

    I just passed my preliminary MITF today (I found your channel bc of it)… and WOW sis, your progress is incredible!! I haven’t landed my loop yet or even learned a flip, lutz, or axel, but I really really want to! And I’m getting used to my backspin, but I haven’t gotten my scratch yet 😬 This is getting me more and more excited to learn tho haha 😆
    Also, I have a question. What are some good off-ice spinners you use/recommend? Thank you so much and God bless!

      thank you! I bet you’ll be at axel before you know it :)
      my favorite spinner is a Jerry’s Skating World metal square spinner! you can find it on Amazon (it’s harder to do difficult positions on bc it doesn’t move but you can practice on any surface which I love!)

    You are a very talented skater! I have a question though, where did, or how did you get access to the harness for the axle?

    • @sydneyskates9005
      @sydneyskates9005  3 года назад +1

      Thank you! My rink has harnesses attached to the ceiling and if you have a coach to pull you up, you can use the harness!

      when this video started (January 2020) I had been skating for around 10 months, but now I’ve been skating for 2 years! And I started learning/landing my axel when I had been skating for 1.5 years

    You should get roller skates to practice with even inline skates . I used to be able to do almost all of my jumps with them . I found that my aces was better on roller skates

      I have a metal spinner from Jerry's Skating World! A turnboard for dance or an Edea spinner work well too.

      @@sydneyskates9005 This lutz is good. I'm working on triples and my lutz is still flat at best no matter how much time I've tried to spend fixing it!
      I regret not trying to get a deeper outside edge when I was at a lower level, because I think that would definitely be helpful to me now😂
      I think that it's actually a good outside edge right now!

    • @sydneyskates9005
      @sydneyskates9005  3 года назад

      @@skatergirl1247 thank you! I think I just got lucky with that one lutz in the video because I’m now working on double lutz and still can’t get a solid outside edge 😂
