My dad built custom cars - beautiful work. After his stroke, he started customizing model cars. And he would put them in cases like those when he was done with them. When he died, his living room was LOADED with model cars in cases, almost up to the ceiling, against two walls, and a couple stacks thick. It's cool that he something he enjoyed doing, to keep him occupied and happy.
Happy to hear Ollie is recovering. We lost one of our two 15 year old cats a couple of months ago. I'm glad that someone was able to find out what was wrong and fix it.
Glad your dog is okay. We lost our 15 year old Jack Russell to a paralysis tick and we were devastated. Great video. I’m into miniatures and have been slowly building up my craft supplies over the last 4 months. I even have quite a few similar things to what you presented today. And after watching quite a few of your videos I’ve made a list of what I want to get.
I sure do like that you can hear the happiness and relief in your voice...they (dogs cats ECT...) Are such a major part of ones life when you have one or a few...prayers that all goes well for him and your family this holiday season....take care and Thank you for sharing all these inner circle secrets....lol🐾🐾✌👍💯
Glad your dog is doing better. Your videos are a great help to me. I am rebuilding a 1969 XLCH and I will be using an airbrush and small spray gun to paint it. Thank you, keep it up
Thanks. I have been enjoying these tool and accessory reviews. Another use for the small metal basins; if I need to add just one small decal toan HO train car I can put just a little water in one to soften the decal. That way I don't have to waste more of distilled water.
some great supply ideas. I have the tins and mixing spoons they have worked out great they were worth the money. glad your pup was good and recovered nearly all the way.
Man, I feel you. When my dog straight out started vomiting blood like crazy (50kg Labrador, wasn't a small amount of blood), I felt both super scared for him, but half of me had blood boiling to find out who the actual f... was putting poison outside. Luckily he pulled through, had him a few more years up until he was 11 and started developing tumors that due to his age the vet said he couldn't even survive the procedure. It was a sad day. It's been maybe 8-9 years since then, and I still miss that dog dearly, can't get myself to get another. That one was special. Glad to know yours is still alive and kicking, that's great.
I lost my 19-year-old cat to a brain tumor a year ago (despite getting him the most advanced stereotactic radiation therapy available at a specialist practice) and it still feels like it was yesterday. I'm grateful that I had as much time with him as I did, but one does get attached.
Great suggestion on using the silicon applicators for the superglue! I had never considered that, but now I'll need to try that. What I use them for is when I am working with Apoxie sculpt, or when I am applying 3M body gap filler/putty.
Another great line up of tools and bits n pieces Robert. I think we are going to have to call you the Gadget Guy. Great to hear Olly is back home and 100%. We all love our furry friends.
Happy to hear it turned out to be something simple with Olly and he's back home safe. ❤️ Another great tool video. I was at Hobby Lobby the other day and looked at those bead stands (as you had mentioned them before) but wasn't sure the size that worked best. Good info to know. That circuit vice will definitely come in handy as I'm always trying to figure out how I'm going to hold and paint odd pieces. Might be able to use it to hold old cds to paint for bases. 👍
I have a love/hate relationship with your videos B. Rex. LOVE and appreciate you testing and reviewing interesting new products for the community. HATE having to explain to my wife why I keep buying more Hobby stuff, lol. Thank you for another great vid!
As for the Balls that you use to help mix your paint, I talked with the owner of Mission Model Paints and what puts in his line of Paints is a Glass Bead to help mix the Paints. I found some at Walmart in the Craft Department for making Necklace and use them in my Vallejo Paints. I normally add 2 or 3 of them to make sure the paint mixed. With Vallejo Paints being Water based, when the Paint is used up you wash them with Water and use them again. Glad to hear you're Dog is doing OK, being a Cat owner I have gone through my shares of Worry about them as well.
I am so glad to hear that Olly is doing fine...they are part of the family and I cant imagine if my dog Milo was in that situation. The content is incredibly appreciated -- Model On!
Glad go hear Ollie is okay. Thanks for you videos as always. I can always count on you to grow my Amazon and Hobby Lobby wish list. The beads were an awesome tip. I was getting ready to buy some more bearings for some new paints, but now off to Hobby Lobby.
I just cane across your channel yesterday because i been wanting to get into actually customizing my gunpla and you are literally the best youtuber when it comes to explaining and tips and tricks etc i been watching studio g and all those other ones no hate to them ofc but man you are the shit my man
As always, another great video! A lot of the products in todays video I already have. Since I’ve found your channel I have been catching up watching all of your videos and was wondering where you got your ball bearings from and you came through!! I cannot thank you enough I have learned so much from your hard work and perseverance.
I got a few of the brush holders that look like a small scale katana/Samurai sword rack, they stand on my desk holding all the brushes i use the most. But i paint a lot of wargame miniatures also. And i wish that we had a hobby store chain here in europe like you you guys in the States got with HobbyLobby and Michaels, but we dont, as far as i know we dont got any cheap hobby stores anywhere here in europe
good day sir, happy Ollie is doin well! they are something! thank you for the reviews again! i got both the chrome paint and powder, looking forward to using them, they looked great! the circuit board folder....are you kidding, what a great idea!! :) thank you!
Glad to hear about Ollie being better. Those silicone tools are what I use for working with greenstuff or milliput when filling large gaps in models. Also those white plastic palette knives are awesome and a little tip if you have a dollar general nearby you can score a 3 pack of different shapes for $1.25, that is where I get mine.
My very best to your dog. I have 3. They lay downstairs in my workshop when I'm down there. Have a big jar of treats for them and a dog bed for them in the workshop.
It's worth noting: That plastic putty is just for hairline cracks and seams! It'll shrink as it cures, so anything larger will take several passes to smooth out. In those cases, it's better to reach for the milliput. Maybe even Green Stuff if it's a really big gap.
I like to use the silicone applicators for doing small putty spots on model bodies , they work really well and again it comes right off the applicator...the ones I use are the exact ones in this video I purchased from hobby lobby
I’m not sure how much it works out to, but AK Interactive sells a bottle of stainless steel ball bearings, I’ve bought them a few times and they’re great value compared to other manufacturers.
You know what's miles better for mixing your paints? Glass boiling balls (stones). glass is 100% non reactive and you get 1000 of the little buggers for 12-14 bucks. Your ball are roughly 0.04 each. The glass beads are 0.014 each. I got one pack and it will last me my whole life. Just used a few of them to make wizard orbs for a dnd wizard I 3d printed.
You should test the scientific magnetic mixer plates for paint. I use a $20 cheap one and it works great. It uses the little “pill” magnets (1”). I reuse the same 10 magnets and clean them off with 99% alcohol. I use a little telescoping magnetic parts grabber to retrieve them from the paint bottle after mixing. It might get expensive to buy pill magnets for 100+ bottles.
That's a clever idea. I remember visiting my dad at his work (chemist at Bell Labs) when I was a kid, and I'd play around with a beaker (of water), stir bar, and stir plate. Maybe a bit of dry ice, too... for the "mad scientist" effect, but I digress. Your trick would indeed mix the paint very thoroughly.
@barbatos Rex Could you make a vid on weathering like powders and stuff like that please and what powders is the best and how to apply them to make them stick
Harbor freight has something for putty for like 6$ you get 8 I use them for putty for models. You can also get for 6$ same place a pack of 9 tweezers. All different shapes and sizes.
Hey, got any tips or tricks to bring back decal sheets that have yellowed or look dried up? I remember reading in Scale Auto someone saying bounce fabric softener sheets?
I went through your list of product links several times and I couldn't find one for the airtight clear plastic box that you recommended for acrylic paints (keep them from hastening their demise)...
Based on the hinged clips it is either a Sistema brand container or a Sistema copycat container. I know Wal-Mart stocks some Sistema products in store if you want to see some in person. Alternatively, for a similar style container I would recommend Lock & Lock brand products, I've used them for food storage for several years and they work well. Lock & Lock's lid seal is silicone, I'm not sure about Sistema's lid seal but I would assume it is silicone as well.
My dad built custom cars - beautiful work. After his stroke, he started customizing model cars. And he would put them in cases like those when he was done with them. I still have a bunch of old kits in Jo-Han plastic cases.
Nice review of some very helpful products. Thanks for sharing.
I am so glad that your puppy is feeling better!
Those silicone brushes are also great for burnishing down stickers, decals, and masking tape.
Glad to hear your dog is OK. Can't wait to see him!
Glad to hear your dog is doing better!

Great to hear your dog is going to be ok, looking forward to meeting him!
Happy to hear Ollie is recovering. We lost one of our two 15 year old cats a couple of months ago. I'm glad that someone was able to find out what was wrong and fix it.
So sorry you, your family, and MOST importantly for your dog's injury. I'm so pleased that he is doing better!!
Wow glad to hear puppy is doing good keep them videos coming
Super good news that Olly is home! Merry Christmas!
Glad your little buddy is okay and they got it figured out!

He's not a special dog -- he's a member of your family.
Good wishes to all of you this Holiday.
I'm glad your buddy is ok. That's truly scary. They are all special.
Glad to hear that Olly is doing well.
Thanks for another fascinating video. Glad that Olly is safe back home and is okay 🙂
Thanks for another great video. I ordered the desk vise as soon as I saw it. There were only 12 left, after I got mine, so y'all better hurry!
Thanks. I have been enjoying these tool and accessory reviews. Another use for the small metal basins; if I need to add just one small decal toan HO train car I can put just a little water in one to soften the decal. That way I don't have to waste more of distilled water.
Really pleased you boy is OK.
Very glad that Olly is ok.
I bet that those silicon “brushes” would work well for applying/spreading that Vallejo putty in small areas. Worth a shot.
some great supply ideas. I have the tins and mixing spoons they have worked out great they were worth the money. glad your pup was good and recovered nearly all the way.

I’ve been using the clamp as a rotisserie for my nascar chassis a couple years. They work great. Excellent tips today Robert👍👍
That's great your doggie is doing great 🐈
Another great line up of tools and bits n pieces Robert. I think we are going to have to call you the Gadget Guy. Great to hear Olly is back home and 100%. We all love our furry friends.

Very happy Ollie is good.
I am so glad to hear that Olly is doing fine...they are part of the family and I cant imagine if my dog Milo was in that situation. The content is incredibly appreciated -- Model On!
The Silicone brushes are great for applying decals and applying the vallejo putty.
You can spray the bottom of the case with spazstix chrome! Great video!
Glad to know your dog is better, mate ❤️

I hope everyone is having an amazing day.
Edit: I'm so glad to hear your dog is doing well. I'm happy to hear it was nothing serious.

Turns out those prayers worked!
So glad he's back home with you where he belongs.
That vise thing looks like a real life car painting stand that spins that is cool

Thx for the info....I just order the Circuit Board Clamping Kit. another great video :)
I love this series...😎
Thanks for the video and good intel as always. 🙂Thomas over at The Model Hobbyist
I'm glad Olly is doing ok. I have a dog and would worry sick if something was wrong with my dog.
Glad to hear that Olly is ok! Always sad to hear when something bad happens them!
Thanks for the kind words, from Umbrella Corp 😉
@@barbatosrex9473 No worries :) Our business is life itself😉
So glad to hear that Ollie is doing well! I gotta ask, does Ollie have a buddy named Stan?
I like to use the silicone applicators for doing small putty spots on model bodies , they work really well and again it comes right off the applicator...the ones I use are the exact ones in this video I purchased from hobby lobby
Metal Gear Solid, oh yeah, especially the music. I got the Rex kit and hopefully in the future the Ray kit.
Silly cones are great for erasing/pushing paint that is not where it is wanted, but too close to want to wipe everything away with another technique.
Great news that Olly's ok 😁

I love you, your dog and your hands..
How about a review on the Iwata LPH-80 spray gun. Always wanted one for spraying big models.
Love your content! I am surprised you don’t seem to use scalpels. I have various size handles and blades. Very inexpensive.
Love the content …thanks you!!
Adda boy Olli.
the pcb holder i could put to use since i also build modular synths
Oh man. Every time you show off tools I want new tools 😅

Good to hear the pup is okay. Speaking of dogs, have you seen the dspiae corgi butt color test packs?
Yes, I ordered some
Thanks for the reviews..glad Olly is doing well, I know it’s scary when our furry friends are distressed. Good boy Olly!
you had chips that survived for a month?, Thats actually impressive.
