Thanks for sharing your vlog series in Myanmar! Since watching your videos I picked up "mang-a-la-bar" for hello and "neey kung la" (how are you doing) lol. I'll try to say that to my local burmese restaurant. :')

STFU rohingyas aren’t originally from Myanmar they’re from Bangladesh , plus that shit ethnics aren’t supposed to be in Myanmar so don’t ever proudly say “ I’m from Myanmar “ better say either just “ I’m rohingya “ or “ I’m from Bangladesh “
I traveled in Myanmar back in 2004 and 2008. I wish there had been a translation app to use back then! It seemed to really help connect your senses of humor in ways that will last in your memory for many years.
Brooo Mandalay isn't boring! Before the coup, it was the best city to live in Myanmar. I hope after the war, when you do come back you'll see what I'm saying
Had an uner driver from here in Austin TX the other day. He was extraordinary upset about his country, and wished i could go visit it and see it for its beauty. You could tell he was so passionate about it. Great guy
Luke, if you ever get the chance, we’d be thrilled to have you visit again. We’ll welcome you with even more warmth and hospitality, showing you the beauty of Myanmar that you haven’t yet experienced. Our doors are always open for you, and we can't wait to share even more of our culture, traditions, and stunning places with you. You’ll always have a special place here, and we’ll make sure your next visit is even more memorable! Thank you so much for visiting, Luke. We hope to see you again soon!
really sorry to see that you didn’t have the perfect tour experience in Mandalay. When it was a good time, Mandalay was full of tourists attractions and activities of course it was the last kingdom of Myanmar and many Myanmar heritages and traditional handicrafts were there to see. Besides, there are a lot of places to go around outside Mandalay like Inwa, one of the ancient cities, Maymyo aka Pyin Oo Lwin, the city of flowers and Minkun where one of the biggest bell of the world exists. It’s really sad to accept that to have fun in Mandalay in these days for a foreigner is to be drunk.
Mandalay isn’t boring place, sorry for you didn’t meet right people and right place in Mandalay. It’s not your false because you just stay one day in Mandalay. You should to go U PaIn Bridge, Tanungtaman Lake, Pagoda Amarapura, Khuthotaw & SandaMuni Pagoda (Known as World’s Book of Buddha) and Mahamyatmuni Pagoda…. There have so many place in Mandalay. Anyway thank you so much for visiting our country in this situation.

Mandalay is my favorite city. Although currently I am in Bangkok. I am still missing Mandalay and the neighborhood cities. It's sad to see fun times are over because of the coup. Hope you can visit Mandalay again when these chaos are over. I will be your guide, free of charge, at that time.
"Yeah, you're right. Right now, our country is a bit difficult due to the coup. Many people are unhappy, and a lot of young people are leaving. Anyway, thank you for sharing information about our country. Stay safe, Luke!"

“The meaning of ‘Mingalarbar’, Myanmar greeting word” Every nation has its own unique way of greeting others. Among the many I've encountered, here are a few examples: In Thailand, people use "Sawadi Khap" (males) or "Sawadi Kha" (females). In India, the common greetings are Namaste or Namaskara. In Laos, "Sabine" is the customary greeting. In China, people say Nihoung. In Malaysia, Salamat Datan is the preferred greeting. In the Philippines, Kumusta po kayo is the common phrase. In the UK and USA, informal greetings like "How is it going?" or "What's up?" are widely used. Each of these greetings carries its own special meaning. For instance, the Thai word "Sawadi" is derived from the Pali word "Suvatthi," meaning "may you be blissful." This word can be traced back to the Ratanasutta, where the phrase "Etena Saccena Suvatthi Hotu" was used. Over time, the pronunciation of "Suvatthi" evolved into "Sawadi" in the Thai language. When combined with the Thai words "Khap" or "Kha," it becomes "Sawadikhap" or "Sawadikha," respectively. Essentially, it conveys the same meaning: "may you be blissful." In Myanmar, the nationwide greeting is "Mingalabar." (While there are also ethnic-specific greetings, I'll focus on the universal one.) The word "mingala" also has its roots in Pali, with the original form being "Maṅgalaṃ." It translates to "the cause of development." The Buddha taught 38 methods to achieve prosperity in both the worldly and transcendental realms. These methods surpass the teachings of any modern-day thrift guide book in terms of practicality and depth. The ancient people of Myanmar coined the greeting "Mingalabar" as a reminder to one another, "Hey, guy, let's not forget the paths to prosperity." However, in today's society, despite the Buddha's teachings on the benefits of abstaining from alcohol ("Majjapānā Ca Saṃyamo - Not drinking alcohol is a source of prosperity"), one can often see these words prominently displayed on signboards outside Myanmar pubs. We should be calling out to our Lord Buddha, "Help us, help us! Look how prosperous and flourishing our country could be.
Watching your video while having Corona beer along with American Bourbon haha. I have never been to Mandalay. Hope the country is cool down and settle so that I can visit there.
I visited Mandalay in 2019 and didn’t think it was boring at all. There’s many temples outside of the city, royal palace is a good place and also mandalay hill. Or taking a walk along the river you can see lots of interesting things.
I love your Joie de vivre approach to life. Your videos are fantastic. The Mozzies (pesky insects) are very busy there Bro due to the Moat. My Mom was born in Mandalay.
There has to be the Damant level of attractiveness to go out and enjoy a fun fair by yourself without looking like a complete creep, it’s diabolical. Love it tho!
